Fastest ssd.

2016 MacBook Pro's is faster.
>>
>>57541893
Very fast but not really a point since nothing we do takes advantage of all that bandwith. Maybe your OS will load .3 seconds faster.

So did Google pretty much steal waifu2x?
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Man that's a nice upscale, I'm genuinely impressed by that result, the way it turns that blue mess into a detailed pattern, and those dark patches gain all that detail
>>
>>57541871
They would steal waifu2x if they used the same network they trained.
The idea of using neural network to upscale images isn't something very unique.

I bought RT-N12 and when I plugged it in, I can't access the router page. It keeps redirecting me to the modem settings page.

Anyone with the same router who got theirs fully working?

Plug/connect into your pc/laptop first without modem connected, I'm sure default ip asus router is 192.168.1.1.
>>
Make sure you are connected to the router :)
>>
It just werked for me. Did you try updating the firmware? I heard that the default firmware sucks ass.

If Rust is like a better C++, why has it not picked up momentum in the work environment.

Also would it be possible for someone to design an AAA video game engine with it?

Industry is very inert.

Have been done in assembler, can be done in rust as well.

The language is still young, but it's slowly getting used by more places, just give it time.

You don't believe it will become another dead language that no one uses? I would like to learn it, but I want to be able to use it for work

>The WorldWideWeb (W3) is a wide-area hypermedia information retrieval initiative aiming to give universal access to a large universe of documents.

How different it is today...

What went wrong?

How did the web turn from universal access to information to selective access to entertainment?
177 posts and 10 images submitted.
>>
>Who killed the World Wide Web?
Web 2.0
>>
>>57541683
Yeah, but that by itself shouldn't consume the entire web to such an extent.

Surely personal resistance should have played some part, in that people used to make their own sites all by themselves using just HTML. So why would they over complicate it so much for themselves?

did it though? it may be true for the few hundred popular websites people visit regularly, but does it also apply to the millions of other websites that exist out there?

I am looking for a tablet and I realized I have no idea how the tablet environment is.

Is it just like the smartphone market? idiots getting apple? Samsung churning uncomplicated standards?

Can someone recommend a tablet for the following:
- Reading and annotating (scientific articles)
- Watching movies in the train/plane
- Light gaming (like angry birds - light)

Are there even custom roms for tablets or are we doomed to be boted to china?

I asked the same question a month ago.
I bought a Nexus 9 for something over a 100$ and I am happy with it.

I rooted it, I removed a lot of useless shit I wouldn't need, I got 4G LTE and I shitpost here all the time with it.

Anyone here have experience with any of their phones? How are they?

Purchased the Mi5 last week. Very happy with it so far. Extremely fast, great screen, great speakers, good ass camera. Consensus on MIUI is that it's actually not that bad. Xiaomi obviously wants to be chink Apple, but so far haven't found a reason to flash another rom.
Note 3 is the memest phone to have ever memed and people have been happy about that one as well. Go for it nigger.
>>
>>57541435
I have the Mi5, great hardware but the ROM is shit. I'm going to install Cyanogenmod this weekend

Oh, people who are running Cyanogenmod on their Mi5, please let me know if you ran into any issues
>>
I suggest you wait for the Redmi Note 4 Pro with the snapdragon next year. If you can't wait, the Redmi Note 4 or the Redmi Note 3 Pro (which is what I'm using right now) are good choices.

Sounds like the help desk jobs you are applying for are not really entry level. You might not have a work history. Try working at a call center or something truly entry level and working your way up. After a year or two start applying again.

My friend is on the market for a new laptop for video editing and he insists that there's nothing better than a MacBook Pro. I'm having a lot of trouble because of all these faggy gamer laptops out there to rec him something better than a MBP.
43 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
if he was serious about video editing he wouldn't be looking at laptops

don't be friends with a macfag youtuber, OP. you're better than that
>>
>>57541410
Why don't you just let your friend make his own decisions?
>>
>>57541453
He actually lives in Thailand and all his video editing is for videos of what his organization does to save kids from the sex trade. He kind of needs a laptop because he can't get graphics cards and PSI's shipped to him when they crash.
