how the fuck can I delete this virus on my laptop called SMP2.EXE?
19 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Install 'entoo
>>
>>57622188
Oh shit, not SMP2! You need to defragment your CPU immediately before the RAM front side bus explodes from immense capacitor generation!
>>
It's system32 virus. Pretty common on Windows. If you can find the folder you can just delete it before it spreads

I'm thinking of getting pic related, since my HD7850 is starting to make weird noises. MSI RX480 Gaming X 8192MB. Gonna wait until Black Friday to see if price drops.

How does this thing compare to other OEM's RX480s or even 1060s? Quietness is my main priority.

I want to download this website's font so I can use it in photoshop to create fake Tinder profile pictures.
However, they want me to dish out 26 dollars for it.
I tried downloading the font through their CSS file (since the browser al;ready downloads it) but I'm not sure how I could download the file as a .OTP or .TTF file.

Link to the font: https://try.typography.com/?font=100030

Any help would be appreciated!

I want to use this for one single picture in photoshop that I'm not even getting paid for. I'm not paying 26 dollar for an app I'm suing once, so why would I for a shitty font?

I mostly use windows due to work, but prefer GNU/Linux by far because it is the most functional OS available.

The best computer you can buy for that is a used thinkpad. Would be exciting to see how much thinkpad you could get for that cash. But would not be much unboxing unless you open it up and let us have a look at the memory and hdd/ssd

Bought the Piston 3's, and at $10ish they're not bad - only slightly worse than my $50-100 (bought it way back in 2010 so i forget) Creative buds.

Other business laptops are also welcome in /tpg/ (e.g. Dell Latitude/Precision, HP EliteBook/ZBook).
----
If you're looking for purchase advice, READ THE BUYERS GUIDE FIRST. Then post, stating budget and requirements (e.g. size and performance).
Don't buy anything OTHER THAN T, X AND W/P SERIES if you want the Real ThinkPad Experience™

Recommended models:
T420 - 14", normal size
X220 - 12.5", ultraportable
----
Why ThinkPad? (also applies to other business laptops)
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap.
>Excellent keyboards - tactile feel and quiet.
>Great durability: chassis uses a magnesium rollcage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels.
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models.
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop.
>Easy to repair, upgrade and maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model. Spare parts are easy and cheap to obtain.
>The best trackpoint (that red thing in the middle of the keyboard). Great for those who type a lot or hate swiping their fingers all over a touchpad.
>Excellent GNU/Linux & *BSD support.

This will only be true if you make it true.

Fuck off.

Why is it so much harder to safely pirate Android apps than it is to pirate iOS apps?
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>57621605
It isn't. iToddlers just don't notice because they're so used to taking it in the ass.
>>
>>57621605
Its not. For every Android paid app that exists theres likely an equally good free one.

meanwhile you can't install apps if they aren't on the app store
>>
What do you mean?
I have several games pirated and they all work just fine and took little effort.

Sup /g/, retard here. I've securely erased my SSD using Samsung Magic. Now the question is how do I boot it back up? Everytime I try, it goes back into secure erase mode using my bootable disc. I understand it's been formatted, but at this point I'm not sure where I'm headed.

Are we closing in on the end of the current era of openness and customization? Will Eternal September actually end and the internet will once again split into

>Will eternal september end?
No. It will never, ever, end.
There are a few places "normies" in the sense of your average person, would not touch. This is one of those places.

There's also IRC, forums, and ironically, usenet.

Pick your poison.
>>
>>57621604
Usenet is autism central.

I really wanted to get in to it because it really does sound awesome as a concept. But holy shit are the people that use it a bunch of spergs.

I guess that's what comes of being in such an environment for so long with no new blood.

I'm looking for a small laptop as an EDC, it doesn't have to be fast, all i need is something that can run Linux, a browser and an office package. It should be robust and cheap. I was looking at pic related but the non chrome os version costs about 650€ Any suggestions?

What are you battery requirements. If you're looking for something that's durable and small, it's hard to beat an x220 or x201s for $120.
