Hey /g/entlemen,
Alright, so I have this HP Slimline 400-314 I'm working on. When I hit the power button, I get "no boot device detected". However, BIOS sees the hard drive, and in an odd turn of events, if I set the bios to default it boots to the HDD...until I have to turn it off, in which case I have to go into CMOS and do default settings again.
I've already replaced the CMOS battery. Motherboard checks out okay. I think it has to do with the UEFI settings, but why would BIOS not boot? Checked the HDD too, it's fine.
Any idea? Thanks in advance.
OP here.
And by "bios not boot", I mean "why would the bios forget it's own boot settings". Sorry for the confusion.

go drink clorox, that should fix it

From analyzing your post I get a feeling you are about to commit a crime so I have contacted the FBI.

i don't agree with false dichotomies. USA today may be a member of the press, but if they only tell me the news while twisting a corkscrew into my arm i'll tell them to fuck off. that doesn't make me anti-first amendment.

I have used TOR Browser bundle to stream some porn while still being connected to my school's VPN. How badly did I fuck up? Can the VPN guys see my traffic while using TOR?
>>57614697
Sure they can. Do not use Tor with default settings without reading the manual.
>>57614697
Not at all. They can tell that you've been using Tor, but not what you've been using it for. Depending on your school's policy, using Tor may be an issue, but they have no way to tell what you used it for unless they control the machine you used and have monitoring software installed.
As an aside, how did you get video of any kind to stream over Tor? must have been shitty 144p

>>57614824
this is what confuses me. Everyone seems to have a different opinion about this. From my understanding: They can see that I connected to an exit node and that's it. But I am not sure about that...
Regarding your side note: Well it works pretty well where I live. If I get lucky I get nodes in france and germany and can stream 480p which is enough for me
What do you lot think of the OnePlus 3? I am considering purchasing a handset outright and it seems like the best option in its price bracket.

What does /g/ think about Cryptocat?
Does anyone use this?
Is it good?
>>57614552
dumb and gay and you're advertising should be a bannable offense.
Fuck, I just wanted to ask this exect qustion.
I used cryptocat for a couple months for general chat/IM purposes back when it was browser-only. It was pretty good, I liked it a lot. Nice, simple design and no bloat. The personal verification was a little tedious and buggy but I guess that's necessary if you want "security" - although noone really gave a single fuck in my small group of friends who used it, we just chose nicknames which we would recognize each other by.
Haven't tried the downloadable desktop app yet.
>>57614749
>dumb
Please explain?
Why do you have this browser? It's useless for legitimate browsing - blacklisted exit nodes, forced captcha, can't sign up/post anywhere, logging in to sites means you now become associated with all the criminals on the same IP. Need javascript off for better privacy which breaks most sites.
>>57614490
That's illegal, you criminal. Stop supporting the drug cartels.
>>57614497
Allow me to explain something...
I don't hold myself to such lowly laws and standards but rather prescribe to a much higher moral set of laws I govern myself by.
One of the things I believe are ridiculous is the futile attempt to control an individuals right to create and consume whatever they want no matter the effects.
Also, I know for a fact the cartel has nothing to do with DMT and Swedish meth.
>>57614464
The last exit node also has your IP and the URL you're visiting, I don't see where is the "privacy" that we're being promised
Just discovered these wonderful things today. Apparently they are on full revival mode these days. Do you guys own/plan to own some? They make sweetass clocks for sure.
