Why? It looks fine on paper but absolutely shit on screens. Way too thin and hard to read.

How is the qc on $700 monitors so bad?
I just bought a AOC AG271QG and it showed up with this blb and dead pixels.I researched a ton of other panels before buying this one and they had the same issues.
How is this shit allowed?

Robots have yet to enslave humanity and demand perfection or death.
The person that QC'd that monitor just works there, man. He doesn't give a shit. Just wants to get high after work and wack off like the rest of us.
Kind of like how I used to curb-stomp UPS boxes when I worked for them. We did it for fun, especially during the Christmas season lol.

The us military and DOD contractors are an absolute waste in every sense that you can waste anything. If there is a goal, the job will be done with the least efficient and most expensive route. It's important to not get warped up looking at the end product and how amazing it is, the path to get there is pants on head retard land.
>>57939297
you are joking.. don't forget you gotta install 1 OS and they should work like a one machine
I see programmer memes on a daily basis that have something to do with a missing semi-colon being impossible to find. Those are mistakes that should be found instantly when you get an error message that basically says, "Hey fucktard, you missed the semi-colon on line 41, that's why there's red shit everywhere."
I've been programming for three years and not once have I had this problem, but I've only used MS Visual Studio. So please, one of you more experienced, perhaps older programmers out there, explain to me why this is an issue?
Are the Visual Studio devs the only guys smart enough to include a feature that checks for a semi-colon in their IDEs?
Are the memes made by idiots who have no idea what they're talking about?
Is the average programmer too stupid to interpret the error message?
Or maybe I've just been spoiled by modern environments, and all these memes are being perpetuated by ancient coders who reminisce about punch cards?
>>57939226
i think its just syntax in general
>>57939226
where did you get this 'meme' from? facebook?
>>57939260
Well, for the purposes of of this post, I Googled semi-colon memes, but this was a response to posts that I see nearly every day since I liked a whole bunch of programming pages. I figured exposing myself to more relevant material I could pull myself out of the lull I'm in, but it's been mostly toxic so far.

College student here.
Dual major in Political Science and Journalism. I'm struggling with finding the right device (laptop, 2 in 1, ThinkPad, etc) for writing/typing as top priority. Yes internal storage, RAM, are important but secondary to the actual feel of spending long Adderall fueled hours typing away on the device itself.
I'm thinking of pic related as a catch all for my needs. What does /g/ think about them?
Microsoft Surface Book (512 GB, 16 GB RAM, Intel Core i7, NVIDIA GeForce graphics)
I have one, it is glorious for handwritten notes in onenote, but sometimes it can be clunky when detaching, other than the price I have no other complains
>>57939152
Yeah 2200$ is a ton of booty for a laptop. What would you suggest in the 1000$ range? Typing comfort primarily not to hung up on stylus or TouchPad capapbilities

Help me figure out the ideal cooling configuration for this case, /g/.
I've got a Kraken X61 slapped onto the front (because it won't go anywhere else) and I haven't yet picked out a GPU. I'll be using a 1070, and the CPU is a 6600k.
Seeing as the X61 is ultimately going to dump warm air into the case, it seems logical to go with a blower style rather than risk further heating up and re-circulating more warm air. Or am I mistaken? Can /g/ come up with a better solution?
As I understand it, the most ideal situation would be to use an air cooler on the CPU. With fans on the front to pull in cool air, the air cooler and exhaust fans will handily push out the air. Even then, perhaps a blower style would still be the most ideal. I'm not concerned about noise, as I play with headphones as it is.
Less autism should help.
If you have a 1070 that isn't reference it doesn't really matter, don't get too frustrated and confused with this, your stuff will be fine
Why aren't there any Darwin distros besides MacOS?
Because it's shit... You could say it's an evolutionary failure
Maybe because of apple's grip over the project?
>>57938927
the work needed to do something useful (apart from OSX) with darwin was greater than it was needed to use, say freeBSD.
Apple doesn't make it easy to do good stuff with it
I've been a recent victim of buyer's remorse, because I purchased a capture card that produces awful, low-quality garbage due to my computer meeting the minimum requirements of the capture card.
With this being said, I have a few layman questions to ask each of you, so I don't make a similar mistake in the future. Instead of recording PS4 games I plan on recording some RuneScape gameplay in the future.
Does a screen recorder interfere with internet speed? I'm guessing no.
What kind of specifications would I need in general to be able to screen record RuneScape without lag?
If you have a decent nVidia card, use shadowplay. It's recording on EZ-mode.

What do you think of Android Netbooks?
Don't really see the point, might as well just get a tablet with a keyboard case. or just a tablet.
