Why do people complain about how expensive iPhones are when the flagship android phone (in the same color, with the same storage capacity) is $70 more expensive than the flagship iPhone...
People are such hypocrites
Because that flagship android phone can also be way cheaper, with a nicer design, and more storage.
But then it doesnt have an Apple or Google logo.
Pixel is the iPhone of Androids. It doesn't represent average flagship Android prices at all.
>>57946484
>the same storage capacity
But the first one comes with 'UNLIMITED GOOGLE STORAGE."
Surely exabytes of data storage are worth a paltry $70.
Ok /g/... what's this? i saw a guy saying a lot of good things about .net in a forum... so i want to know that it is... is a languague like C++,Java or C? is it Microsoft .NET? or only has similar names?
It's java done right.
>>57946259
It's shit.
>>57946280 what does that mean? should i need java before learn .net?

Hi /g/
I need someone good in ASM and MIPS code.
I need help and I can pay if it's work good.
Thanks

I'm curious, what you want to do ?
Simple things like :
- Find hexa number from an instruction
- Reverse content of two registers..
Come on, easy money.
Hi. What generation of NUCs is powerful enough to support satellite-HDTV?
can you recommend a specific NUC? And can you recommend a TV tuner? Sundtek USB sticks get mentioned on some forums but they are so expensive.
>>57946060
>2016
>broadcast tv
why
>>57946075
because 55 year old parents
>>57946124
just get them a new tv with those smart features
when that fancy nuc setup breaks you'll have to waste your time fixing it
What Linux Distro do you guys use? And for what reason do you use it? And why is it perfect for what you use it for?
>Arch Linux
>Used for server (I know it's not the best)
>Looks good and is always kept simple
Arch.
I want reasonably up to date packages, particularly things like GCC and Linux.
It gets the job done.
I also have CentOS on my home server, which is nice as well, I guess.
>>57945995
I use Linux Mint because it just werks. It's probably not "perfect", but I do fine with it. I need the current generation of new meme web technologies. Most of them are maintained best for Mac OS, but I can't justify spending this much money on inferior hardware, so Linux it is. Since I don't care about spending 8 hours a day configuring/repairing my system, Mint is very nice. Also, I come from a Windows background, and Linux Mint with a Cinnamon/MATE desktop makes me feel at home.
>>57945995
I use Xubuntu but I'm thinking of switching to Debian because pulseaudio sucks a bag of dicks.
I just need to fucking vent
W10 is honestly the WORST piece of shit OS I've ever had to use. It removes so much control from the user, there's always shit running the background making it incredibly difficult to play "muh video games" and I have to do so much shit just to make it usuable. Oh and the latest update has completely removed the option for me to update when I want to.
FUCK YOU MICROSOFT, HONESTLY FUCK YOU
FUCK YOU FOR MAKING ME USE THIS PIECE OF SHIT FOR DX12
FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU FUCK YOU
>>57945993
welcome to club earth. microsoft violates all of our little bum holes.
>>57945993
I JUST RESTARTED AND ITS DOING AN UPDATE FOR THE 3RD FUCKING TIME IN TWO DAYS
IM ACTUALLY CRYING HOLY FUCK I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO PISSED OFF
I'm going to gym to burn off some steam because I'm going to put a hole in my fucking wall
At least windows keeps me fit I guess.
Try Vulkan m8. DX12 is poz'd.
Is a new entry level card really already twice as good as a flagship card 3 years ago?
I thought I was set 4 lyfe by buying a 7970
I think that comparison is using the 7970's launch performance and not its current performance, since those numbers are far too far apart.
I'd recommend looking up some actual benchmarks instead of relying on that comparison software- those numbers definitely do not look right
>>57945868
Do you know a better site? I thought anandtech bench was pretty legit.
I only know videocardbenchmark.net which shows only a single pretty arbitrary number
I still use a 7950.
I don't play demanding games and I don't care about high/ultra settings.
Runs Civilization V, VI, BF4 and CS:GO just fine.

You must be bored
I saw that router in a store the other day. Looks even more ridiculous in person than in pictures.

Not the same at all.
Any free alternatives to this?
Are there any good driver updaters. When I said free, I mean FREE, no trials, no bullshit.
>>57945602
Just go to the website of 'x' driver and download the update you lazy cuck
pacman -Syu
Does the trick for me.
>>57945682
Pretty much this. If your hardware is older than few months don't expect any updates except graphic card.
>How this ideological struggle plays out remains to be seen. But, given the ruthless success of capitalism, a betting man wouldn't put his money on a guy like Berners-Lee, who isn't in this for money. When his invention went live in Geneva all those years ago, he didn't envisage his open web would become a system of semi-closed platforms that restrict access to their users. Nor did he envisage that his invention would facilitate surveillance on a scale beyond the imaginings of Orwell. At its inception the world wide web seemed to promise an escape from corporate and governmental powers, an egalitarian free-for-all. Now? It has increasingly become a sophisticated extension of them. The hopes once nurtured by the man who invented the web have been not so much abandoned as betrayed.
i certainly hope he regrets posing for that picture

Learning Java, what should i know for be a "Java programmer" and get a job (Besides the basics)?
[Serious Thread]
i mean, i'm learning, so i will be very grateful if you advice me.
>>57945510
That being an even halfway decent "programmer" requires knowing A LOT more than just the language itself. Good luck, but if you expect to just learn the language yourself through the basic tutorials and then run out and get a job, you're in for a rude awakening.
>>57945597 i mean that i already know the basics... but i want to still learning java deeply... what should i learn besides of basics to be a 'Java programmer' and get a job?, obviously i'll not find a job with the basic.
Post tech that triggers you there

Windows
I wanna learn a programming language but I don't know what for
