what the fuck is my hard drive writing after a file is done copying. bros?

i cant find any of this shit online
it has led me to do my own research on the ntfs file system and how it writes indexing keys, but the writing operations that take place AFTER the transfer is complete seems like much more than this. something is going on, this is obvious bullshit

my drive physically feels like its kicking harder after file transfers are complete

>>
Are you sure that you're hard drive doesn't have errors (physical or with the filesystem) ?

Have you tried other filesystems?
>>
Any filesystem, even sockets, keep data cached in the kernel before it's received by the application. So that your IO operation doesn't block too long.
>>
>>59041836
the cache is usually like 500mb
even in the latest edition of windows

and it is certainly not writing out any cache shit

Yes, I've written several useful bash scripts, mostly to do with fetching and sorting anime.
This is what winfags are missing out on: an easily scriptable operating system.

Is there a program for windows, beside putty, that features arq protocols like xmodem, zmodem etc.?
I want something that can reliably transfer files through a serial port.
11 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
First, why are you using serial port?
>>
>>59042026
I wanna exchange files between two computers via radio modems.
The problem is that the modems do all the packeting and error checking,so the receiving modem automatically discards packets with uncorrected errors.
That means I lose entire blocks of data if there's an error in a packet.

Thinking of buying a Blackberry Classic. I don't care about any fucking meme applications that people use these days. All need is web browser and mail client, plus maybe YouTube every once in a while. Has anyone used one of these on 4chan? I hate digital keyboard and have always wanted one of these, and can get one for about $100

Why do so many on here consider Chromium to be bad for privacy when it's open source?
13 posts and 4 images submitted.
>>
just because its open sourced doesn't mean people went through all lines of code to verify it. It uses google apis
>>
>>59041198

cause it still uses some of googles botnet

theres an ungoogled chromium version

either way .. they are just retarded cause lets be real ... most of the botnet posters are NEETs who haven othing to worry about and just do it for the meme

they think anyone at Google cares that they jerk off to anime trap porn and are concerned about it for no reason at all

the only people who should worry about this are the ones who are professionals and have actually something valuable to lose

Thanks for the answer. I will check that out. Btw, I am no pajeet. I am doing this as a way to look at paragraphs of people reviewing games and such onto a document. Any more suggestions would be appreciated if there is indeed more professional programs you can pay for.

Okay, I just spent an hour reading about the history x86 and it's so obvious how Intel and AMD formed a trust to exploit the computer market financially. A lot of the new instruction set "upgrades" were just renaming shit. Old instruction sets like MOS, MIPS, etc. were simple and didn't force you upgrade (read: spend) so often! I don't know anything about ARM but I suspect they're playing the same games as Intel and AMD

How does the architecture of x86 make you have to upgrade more often?

ARM is proprietary as fuck. I really, really don't understand the hate for new instruction sets. Free performance upgrade, essentially.

Why do you need any? Just get familiar with the common jdk classes and the basic java intros to it. You should already be familiar with concurrency if your education was worth anything.
