Redpill me on Tutanota /g/
I've seen some people recommend it and I've seen others call it Botnet. Then again, if you ask around, everything is Botnet apparently.

Honestly, I am more concerned about security than privacy.
Also, since it's not as popular as Gmail or Hotmail, I can actually get the e-mail address I want.

I had some of my mails (mostly directed at companies) arrive in their spam folder.

I don't know what redux is but whatever it is doesn't deserve more than 60g. I'm pretty sure a normal GTA install would be from 30 to 60 gig. Its been so long since I've used it.

I'm looking for a 3-4TB external hard drive. Will mostly be used to store high resolution photographs and video footage.

I was looking at this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZTRXFBA/

But it seems to have a lot of bad reviews. I don't care about brand, I just want a strictly-USB hard drive. Don't want anything that requires a power supply.

>>
I have a 1TB Seagate external drive and it hasn't given me any issues in 3 years. Most of the bad reviews are from people who previously got burned by old Seagate drives when they used to have constant catastrophic failures, but their current offerings are alright.

If you're still unsure, look for Western Digital drives, since those are a similar price but have less of a bad track record.
>>
External drives are overpriced and perform poorly. For the same price you could have an excellent HGST Ultrastar HDD, it's enterprise class, will have better speeds and be many times more reliable.
>>
>>59260368
>HGST Ultrastar HDD
Why the fuck can't I buy these hard drives straight from amazon or Newegg?, I'm always finding "new" enterprise drives on ebay and places for cheap but never directly from Newegg or Amazon

How do I even do anything useful with programming like make online games like agar io or simple chrome extensions. I have gone through multiple tutorials but I always feel as if I'm ten tutorials away from doing any real world programming.

Just like most salable skills in life coding takes time to learn.

As someone too old to be bothered at this point I'd say keep at it, if you're learning a decent language you'll not only be learning a useful skill but one in demand too.

Building a new pc. Settled in on an ASUS Maximus IX Hero Z270 motherboard. I'm also going for G.Skill ram. The G.Skill website has a neat ram configurator page. Drop-downs ask me to choose my motherboard manufacturer, chipset, and model. It then provides a list of compatible ram.

Before I began this process, I had already chosen to go with 8GBx2 DDR4 3200MHz Ripjaws V for no reason other than affordable price. So, I looked down the list G.Skill provided to find Ripjaws V models. Here's where my lack of knowledge failed me. I did indeed find 8GBx2 DDR4 3200MHz Ripjaws V, but in fact I found four of them. The difference among them is their CL number. I sort of know what that is but I thought it was tweakable. I do not know enough to know why I would choose one over the other.

http://www.gskill.com/en/configurator?manu=29&chip=2859&model=2866

These four are all Ripjaws V 8GBx2 models that G.Skill says is compatible with my mother board —
DDR4-3200 (PC4-25600)
16GB (8GBx2)
CL14-14-14-34
1.35 Volt

And here is another —
DDR4-3200 (PC4-25600)
16GB (8GBx2)
CL15-15-15-35
1.35 Volt

And yet another —
DDR4-3200 (PC4-25600)
16GB (8GBx2)
CL16-16-16-36
1.35 Volt

And one last one —
DDR4-3200 (PC4-25600)
16GB (8GBx2)
CL16-18-18-38
1.35 Volt

Why are there four different CL models? Are they the exact same sticks but simply come pre-configured and thus can be re-configured if I choose to do so? Or are they distinctly different thus requiring me to me an informed choice?

But ok OP, I'll spoon feed you.

Timings are in nano seconds, memory delay is timing X frequency. Speed is more important than timing, but at the same speed lower timing is better.
>>
>>59259666
If you care about the timings, just get the cl14 one, if you feel like you can get lucky with overclocking/tightening the looser timings, go with those.

Among my greatest failings as a human is my atrocious under-desk cable management (pic related).

Do any of you have tips of how to deal with this? You're seeing the results of:
PC
Synology (w/ 2 external drives)
NUC for server
KVM switch (hence the lonely VGA)
3 monitors
UPS
router
all sorts of on-desk shit

How do I make this less of a nightmare? A bunch of the cords aren't long enough to go in anything but a straight line (especially the DVI cables)

Also post your shameful cable management if you dare.

You could make something like a second wall. Take a thin wooden plate, make it as big as you need and mount it either on the wall, or right under your desk.

When the Internet age first arrived, those using Windows systems that were still restricted to 8.3 filename formats had to create web pages with names ending in .HTM, while those using Macintosh or UNIX computers could use the recommended .html filename extension.

Get something from JVC's xx series, they're better than beats shit for 1/5 of the price. Make sure it's got everything you want though. I got a pair of JVC's iems for €20 without a microphone or remote built-in because the exact same pair with those was €30, and because I don't even need them.
