Also what GPU is okay with a i5 2500k and not cause bottleneck?

More sandbagging?

AMD had claimed for the longest time that Vega had 4 Shader Engines, with a 2.75x increase per clock in geometry (ROP) performance over Fury X.
With a 1600MHz instead of 1050MHz clock, that's 4.19x increased geometry performance.

Well they showed a new die shot yesterday, and it's suddenly different.
There's two ways to interpret this:
>They still consider it 4 shader engines, but each one is split in two groups, and they get that higher ROP performance per clock partially through this splitting up
>It's actually 8, and they were sandbagging
If it's the later, Vega actually has 8.48x the polygon drawing performance at 1600MHz as Fury X does at 1050MHz.

Also for the retards:
This doesn't mean it'll be 419% or 848% total better performance than Fury X. It just will be in raw polygon drawing performance. And lower polygon drawing performance tended to hold GCN back as they were more compute heavy. Good at screenspace effects, less good at lots of polygons and useless amounts of tessellation.
But 175%-275% perf is not unlikely at all.

it was the raw throughout that holded back the gcn their polygon drawing was fine

are they giving shader engines the bulldozer treatment?

Do google and Microsoft actually care about what you search up and do online besides advertisment purposes? Say you search up nothing illegal , but maybe questionable things would they care at all?

Why is Linux so terrible?

Because retarded Arch users who don't value freedom, enjoy systemdick, and use and encourage proprietary software are trickling into the community and ruining it for good. For chrissake, the most popular page on the Arch wiki was at one point the article on Steam. They even have an article on Netlfix, which is anti-user, anti-privacy DRM and doesn't even work without cookies enabled - and they have an article dedicated to it regardless. In general, people who willingly use proprietary services and software are killing Linux, as well as GUI-fags who're too scared to use the terminal.

Was i9 just a marketing reaction to AMD?

does having more cores make it easier to load up and play 8 porn videos simultaneously?

in other words, how well does google chrome take advantage of multiple cores?

Of course.

If you're actually doing real work that demands performance you wouldn't have to ask this.
>Should I wait till August for an i9, or get the 7700k now?
Stick to your mainstream i7/i5s, kid.

this is essentially what i've been stressing to my friends, things like Google Home and Alexa are going to continue to be popular because they're fucking convenient at the end of the day. I'm not a "maker", and the Stallman-ite world takeover won't happen just because I use a homebrew IoT platform in my home.

>raspberry pi cluster
>not a cheap proper nas
you have to buy the tf cards, heat sinks and cables for raspberry pi to use it, at the end of the day for the same price you could get a proper nas with sata support which allows you to connect any hdd you want and have surely much more storace space than those tf cards, you can find 500gb hdd for like 30 bucks new.
>>
>>60774325
you do not have to buy heat sinks to use a pi
what cables would you need, they arrrive with cables

they have onboard wireless, bluetooth
what is a tf card sorry
