Mind you I'm unaware if the disk I used had updates already. Because it seems no one ever updates the original product, and requires every patch from day one to be installed online despite them being able to change the disk you buy. .

idk, i have a 970 and after an nvidia update some time ago i had a windows error on boot and no aero, games worked fine tho but the popup on every boot got annoying so i googled it and turns out i needed sp1 so i updated
