Go to hell.
Fuck you and your shitty thread. Cunt.
What should I be using instead of a file manager?
Anyone suffering mental health issues from trying to program the next big thing for the last decade?

Hi, I was having a discussion earlier today about how it would be beneficial to teach youngers about maths and programming combined. I remember looking at a textbook involving BASIC and maths. It was fairly old, but has anyone got a link for a textbook like that?
On a slightly higher level I found this blog https://jeremykun.com
There's a linear algebra book for programmers
>>60977882
That blog is fantastic btw

>Hi, I was having a discussion earlier today about how it would be beneficial to teach youngers
>something most of them will never use
>along with something all of them will use
The "everyone should learn programming" meme needs to die.
Which browser extensions do you guys use?
These are what I'm using on Firefox to make my life simpler and make web browsing bearable for me.

Welcome to the botnet.
>>60975856
Cause of this "botnet" Chrome just werks
Instead of other browsers
BTW the botnet it's better than Mozilla Cuckefox

This thread was here some hours ago.
Fuck off.
What mail client does /g/ uses?
I always used Thunderbird, it just werks.
Thunderbird.
>>60975815
I tried KMail when I used KDE, and it was quite good. However, Thunderbird does seem to be the best on Linux and Windows. Apple's Mail.app wasn't too bad either.
I used to use Thunderbird, switched to kmail went I went KDE though and it works so much better
Locked out of important GMail, google can't verify it's me
Reformatted PC over the weekend and now can't access my email that was logged in for a long ass time. Turns out it had an old phone number of mine attached to recovery and the cell company literally went out of business. Answering google's recovery questions, including using the actual password and original recovery email when I made the account in 2012, ends up with google not being able to verify It's me.
Am I fucked?
>>60975743
dude just get your old phone number back
it's not that hard
/g/ is not your personal tech support team
>>60975753
Tried, apparently not possible
>>60975760
This isn't my first stop, been dealing with this for almost a week. Just wanted to see if anyone has knowledge of gmail recovery
heres the deal, I have a small game that uses the following libs
>opengl 3.3
>SDL2
>glew
>glm
>soil
>libfreetype (to render fonts)
I want to compile a windows exe to give to my loser normie friends that only have windows. I shat out a copy of VS and after 4 fucking hours I finally got that shit to compile, however:
>tons of retarded C++ errors that neither GCC nor clang complained about
>shit compiles after fixing them, the game runs at 5 FPS and has more bugs that I can count
before I give up I want to try compiling with mingw or clang for windows, but honestly I doubt its as easy as installing the libs and running the makefile
is it worth using cmake? should I try with mingw or clang if it makes no difference in linux?
Trying out mingw might not be a bad idea, but desu it would be faster to just fix what's wrong with the vc project
mingw-w64 is the one that is still maintained. I have linked against SDL2 and glm with it. Good luck op
>>60975719
>>tons of retarded C++ errors that neither GCC nor clang complained about
Joke's on you. Next time compile with -Werror -Wall -pedantic.
Or better yet: write a game in ASM so it's faster.
Haiku OS
It's lovely but I can only get it working in a VM. I want to stick it on an old laptop.
>>60975624
If they'd put more energy in fixing actual bugs than adding or "fixing" various small shit they'd had a beta release years ago, a bigger userbase, more funding and likely more developer too.
With scary things like filesystem corruption, I don't even want to "test" it.

How is the corruption happening?

We have known this for a very long time, anon.
It's a meme.
Is it dangerous to read/write to an important NTFS drive from Linux?
>>60975277
no but if you resize it from within linux then ntfs files are fucked forever you might as well reformat
>>60975327
yeah i actually did that once, ended up losing like 30% of my music library.
NTFS is a piece of shit and it deserves to be corrupted
what /g/ related things are you waiting for in the mail, /g/?
>>60975260

Dead on arrival. Only retards will buy this. Even if you don't want to buy AMD, this is just retarded at this point.
>>60974486
So what's the problem with systemd /g/?
There isn't one.
>>60974294
Apparently the main project leader is a german-guatemalan sjw faggot pushing for all his leftie bullshit onto the FOSS community, plus systemd is said to be a botnet plus people claim the systemd design goes against the UNIX philosophy.
>>60974294
It seems to be the target of a persistent fud campaign.
