Is there any computer that is free of the US government's tentacles?
>be burger govt
>find literally every zero day vulnerability
>backdoor everything, hardware and software
>don't alert manufacturers
>lets adolescent slavs and other governments get their hands on fucking EVERYTHING
It's not the physical hardware you actually have to be concerned with, that's meaningless in the big scheme of things: it's using such hardware on networks that becomes the point of contention.
If you own a computer of any kind that has absolutely no connectivity whatsoever to any networks or any form of data transmission or even reception that's about as safe as it can possibly get and still be powered on as well as being functional period aka "put together."
Stop being so fucking ignorant and learn how things actually work or your paranoia and stupidity are going to be the death of you.

Airgapped computers are not considered free of vulnerabilities. If that is your vector it is no less valid.
>Coffee Lake is Intel's codename for the second 14 nm process refinement following both Skylake and Kaby Lake.
>second 14 nm process refinement
Is this the end of Intel?
Let me stop you right there OP
Yes
>>60960302
Not 6 cores? We getting another round of quad cores?
>buy into skylake meme
>intel will deprecate 1151 completely by the time new processors will be worth upgrading to
RIP
which one, 5 or 6?

Good fucking riddance.
I've recently ordered an AMD A12-9700P based laptop with a Radeon R7 M440 GPU. Apparently the APU and GPU can be setup as a "hybrid crossfire" resulting into what AMD calls the "Radeon R8 M445DX".
My question is it even fucking worth it to setup hybrid crossfire on this laptop given AMD's spotty record on drivers and laptop support or does this shit actually work and there is actual support for this thing?
Do you have cute feet
It actually works, Crossfire support has improved massively in the last few
But every APU it's bandwidth starved, so don't expect to get good scaling if any at all
Also, you should had waited for Zen APUs
>>60958208
Nah they're pretty... gross
>>60958237
That's good to know! Thanks! I know the Zen APUs are coming out at the end of the year but I needed something "now" and I think I got an ok deal on this. I was also concerned for micro-stuttering from the hybrid-crossfire too, will that be an issue or has AMD ironed that out?
Hey /g/. I've been thinking of making a general about scambaiting (i.e what's scambaiting, how to scambait and scambaiting actual scammers). What do you guys think?
If you screencapped them installing gentoo then I would ask you screencap me into it
Good luck anon!

What does /g/ think of netsurf? It just needs JavaScript support and it'll be perfect.
links2 framebuffer is better, it has graphics and javascript support, smaller than netsurf too
>>60957266
They removed JavaScript support from links2.

*cries*
links might work
Hey, on two different systems, I can hear one "click" per second when I connect my phone to it. The clicking stops after like 5 seconds but I've always been wondering about where the clicking comes from.
Is it some kind of handshake or initialisation for headphones that come with a media control unit in the cable? I actually know quite a lot about audio/PA stuff and music production but I never found a reply to this
Android or iOS? I think those clicks are Android switching a bunch of media output settings around and it clicking in and out of putting audio out through aux

Maybe you should consider a business model that doesn't rely on subjecting users to corporate mind control.

Is Radix Sort the best sorting algorithm for multi-threaded applications?
are you dealing with large numbers of elements , each with lots of repeated digits? then yes, and you have an O(N) sort.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as GNU/Linux, is in fact, Systemd/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, Systemd plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning Systemd system made useful by the Systemd corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.
Many computer users run a modified version of the Systemd system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of Systemd which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the Systemd system, developed by the Systemd Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the Systemd operating system: the whole system is basically Systemd with Linux added, or Systemd/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of Systemd/Linux.
I'd like to discuss the idea of a meshnet with you, brethren.
A friend and I were thinking to deploy one in a small area of our town. What's the best way to go about learning about all this? Any (preferably open) hardware manuals would be helpful.

Google "Building Wireless Sensor Networks" by Robert Faludi. Even if you are interested in doing something else than sensors it has pretty good info on the basics.
>>60955763
The logo is 666, just like chrome. Why do they do that? Do they think its funny?
>>60955763
What is the difference between Intranet and Meshnet? They seem same.
Hey, Guys, I am completely illiterate toward technology. I have a few decent ideas to build apps. I'm looking for a beginner course to computer science or tech. Can you guys help me? I want to understand the difference between, front end and back end, and what system architecture is, and just the real basics of technology. Thanks in advance for any refrences.
