Hi, I was having a discussion earlier today about how it would be beneficial to teach youngers about maths and programming combined. I remember looking at a textbook involving BASIC and maths. It was fairly old, but has anyone got a link for a textbook like that?
On a slightly higher level I found this blog https://jeremykun.com
There's a linear algebra book for programmers

The "everyone should learn programming" meme needs to die.

I guess you could teach them math using Python+NumPy or equivalent.

Meme? teaching a kid programming will also teach them about logic and thinking computationally, these are valuable skills that also apply in other areas of study

Well, you aren't teaching them C or Haskell or J. BASIC and Logo or visual languages such as Scratch are doing what >>60979288 said and are trivial to learn.
