What exactly makes a quality sneaker? What is the point where you're purely paying for branding and aesthetics?
The only things I hear are the quality of leather and if its been glued?
I'm about to pull the trigger on these but still, $550 for some leather high top converse with no logo?
What makes mall brands like Vans and Converse able to charge so little? Isn't there some kind of middle ground?
I'm mostly choosing this because its the only plain looking black and off white leather high top I like. Others seem to have logos and shit and are of questionable quality.

So bad construction to good takes a $100 mall shoe to almost $1000?
I just mean, why is there no effort to construct it well. I read that the UNIQLO canvas shoes were great for their simple material and good construction. So a $10 well constructed shoe cant me made leather for a minor increase.
I just want a high quality pair of plain black high tops with off white soles. Barneys is full of garish fashion shoes for Chinese people, the mall is....the mall, then it seems like theres nothing else.
