>>90780785
I adored reading this annual a few years ago, thank you for reminding me of what we lost and how Chris and Yost can write a superior Spock than Slott ever could.
>>90780953
>>90780953
=D
>>90780986
And then you just had to remind me of this shit and the sorrow that Flash lost Venom
Why did this series ever have to end? This should have been its own universe, with this spidey in charge, forever.
>>90781020
=O
>>90781033
Because I think Amazing Spider-Man 2 was about to release in theaters and they wanted movie synergy.....
>>90781019
Too good for this world. Why did this have to end?
>>90781033
Because, Spock was too good for this world.
>>90781033
"what if doc ock stayed peter parker?" id fucking buy the shit out of it
>>90781142
When you get to issue 32, are you gonna storytime Spider-Verse? Or are we going to have to suffer with the Amazing Spider-Man relaunch?
Midget Sex
>>90781190
We're gonna have to suffer through the relaunch.
>>90781142
>evil genius
>has spidermans life and job
>likes fucking loli midgetsI mean I dare say...."ONE OF US, ONE OF US, GOOBLE GOBBLE GOOBLE GOBBLE ONE OF US!"
I mean, am I wrong here?
>>90781106
I know man. We traded in this for Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 2 and I ain't happy
>>90781281
MINIONS!!!!!!
I read Spock in The Monarch's voice, always.
>>90781258
loli does not mean midget.Id still fug though
>>90781248
You make an anon cry
>>90781422
Little did we know that this cover was to come true
Hey OP let me edit your comic script.
>>90779251
>epic
Why do people call it this, instead of, you know, a run. Epic kind of implies a certain level of quality this run has never been able to even orbit from a distance.
>>90781640
Epic just means a long story.
>>90781630
>Hey OP let me steal your ideas
>>90781773
It's not like they're good ideas anyway!
>>90781773
Nah, man. I'm just good with English and figured I could put that to use helping someone.
>>90781990
I appreciate the offer but I'm going to hold off on sharing, not because I don't want to, but because I'm still working on the last batch of scripts and don't wanna give anyone just a single issue or set of issues. They need to be read together. That isn't to say they can't be enjoyed individually, but I consider them all "episodes" in a season.
>>90781900
I don't know. I've had some pretty good ideas. I've shared my comic with a couple friends and they managed to give me some really really good feedback to improve. I've also hit the point where I realize I have a better idea of what can happen on the page than they do so so there definitely is a limit to how far their criticisms can go. Right now my biggest issue is that I tend to overwrite which makes my work a tad bloated. The other consistent comment is that all of my friends say they can tell I wrote it which I don't know how to interpret.
>>90782209
Back when Wolverine was still alive, Captain America wasn't a Hydra Agent(though, that has been enjoyable) and Marvel didn't try forcing their PC bullshit. I miss the good ol'e days.
>>90782366
Why do you write your comic like a TV show? Are you embarrassed of the medium or something? Reminds me of Bendis and how he'll write in Final Draft with the movie script template.
>>90782209
>dat team
we're never having it again, are we. i even took wolverine for granted.
>>90782482
>we're never having it again, are we
Suuuuuuuuuuuure we aren't. It's not like comics are cyclical or something. Idiot.
Also, Wolverine fucking sucked as an Avenger.
>>90782449
I meant to imply my story is structured like a TV show where each issue logically flows into the next. My issues are written in full script format the same way other comics are written. My comic follows the 2x4 layout with a maximum of 60 words per two panels (1 wide panel). I find this gives me the opportunity to layer my panels vertically, create a cinematic set of action shots while still having enough leeway to deliberately pace some longer scenes with individual panels.
Norman, you big tease.
>>90780841
Needless to say Flash fans were mildly upset his run ended just as a Venom-centric arc on Superior was starting.
>>90782552
>cinematic
There's that word again. Why "cinematic"? Is being "comic booky" not good enough? Did y'all learn nothing from Eisner and Kirby?
>>90782664
I'm using the technique of Widescreen Comics for my action panels.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Widescreen_comics
>>90782664
pretentious knob right here folks
>>90782889
I'm guessing you like to call things "hipster" and "edgy" too, right, you literal child? Learn how to debate like an adult.
Up yours, Norman. I would have continued fighting on.
>>90783030
Debate what? You're shit talking how someone describes their comic and start bullying just because they didn't use the terminology you wanted them to you smug cunt
>>90780283
Get back to work, George RR Martin, and stop lurking in the New York subway.
I think I now hate this moment. I've seen it so many times in so many different ways that it does nothing for me anymore.
I don't think that's how scars work.
>>90783296
Kinda annoyed that the only moments allowed to define him even now, are just things within the first hundred issues.
>>90783230
>bullying
Oh boo hoo, and here I thought we were all adults here.
Norman, you so crazy
>>90783332
and by that I mean the two things that apparently define him are "Lifting ten tons" and "Do you want more wheatcakes?". This seems to happen in every memory sequence.
The wheatcake scene isn't that memorable.
CAN'T KEEP A GOOD GOBLIN DOWN!!!
>>90783335
Truly a Superior Faggot
>>90783335
We're all adults here but there's no need to a douche about it.
>>90783659
>>90783694
>nearly two minutes apart
Hmm...
>>90783879
>gets called out by multiple people for being a twat and can't handle it
Hahahahahaha
And now we start the final arc of the Superior Saga, Goblin Nation. I may not be a fan of this comic but I do love the art and covers.
What a waste of a perfectly good page.
This is a neat page, although i do think Slott could have done just a bit more with the bridge. Specifically instead of the American flag he should have put a goblin flag.
How the hell would Ock even remember an event like this? Bullshit writing is how
>>90779251
geez, i forgot how old this arc was and i was reading it when it was new on /co/
its still shit and pisses me off
A literal Goblin Underground....I love it.
I hope we get a new superior spider-man book
i need to get the omnibus or OHCs or whatever of this
SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT
I bet if he didn't say "second", Spock would have said yes. I'm sure of it.
>>90784703
I was there too when it was first being storytimed and I remember everyone losing their shit when Osborn was revealed to be none other than Mason Banks. A few members of /co/ were able to successful predit it but it caught most people off guard.
>>90784725
You're better off purchasing the hardcover trades than trying to purchase the larger volumes of issues.
Just how strong are these hard light holograms? Strong enough to smash through a table but not strong enough to take a goblin blast?
>>90784863
Shit I forgot to spoil and I'm retarded. Fuck me.
Since the beginning of Superior this version of Osborn has felt...off, which isn't something I would have expected. Slott has demonstrated that he's more than capable of writing a strong Norman (see New Ways to Die) but here is almost feels like a caricature of how Norman should be. I almost feel like Slott would rather write the Joker than the Goblin.
A good writer could have made #23's death a powerful moment (like Antony in Ant-Man), but instead Slott used it as a fucking joke.
>>90781514
> how hard can it be to find a goblin
this is actually a pretty noticeable plot hole. Even ignoring the status of the New York Sewers as this magic labyrinth in Marvel, did Spock just assume no criminal activity operated below street level?
This is god damn embarassing
>>90785025
>For your world!
You mean Peter's personal world or the world at large? You're going to have to be more specific.
Oh no
And thus we start the final issue for the night. I hope everyone's enjoyed.
>>90781957
> without the symbiote you will die
Even for Slott this is terrible. Maybe he should have consulted with the other Spider-writers to see if there was a precedent for this?
Camuncoli is normally one of my favorite artists but Jameson looks like he has downs syndrome in the bottom left panel.
I think deep down Sajani is straight up in love with Peter. No person would put up with half the crap he's already put her through unless she's either hopelessly devoted to him or brain damaged.
The only thing I don't get is Goblin bombing the heart clinic. I don't know what real association the Goblin could be exploiting other than the one time Spock performed surgery to save a little girl.
>You're in on it!
I kinda wish Jameson would just have a heart attack and die already. He literally contributes nothing to the story other that someone complaining incessantly about Spider-Man.
The immediate switch on Osborn's face when he finds out Ock isn't worried about Lamaze is spectacular
GOD DAMMIT SLOTT JUST SHOW THE FUCKING VIOLENCE ALREADY!!!!
YOU PUSSED OUT WITH GARGAN'S JAW!
YOU PUSSED OUT WITH MASSACRE!
AND NOW YOU PUSS OUT WITH THIS!!!
They really could have made it more clear that Lamaze saved Slott from his machinations. Because from my perspective, it looks like Spock told Lamaze to get out of the way and instead Lamaze just proceeded to stand still and is then impaled.
>>90785217
i forgot how cute she was
can't remember, is she still around now?
And now the mastermind reveals himself! I'm glad that Slott really did bring Osborn back rather than pull some other fakeout
Looks like I'm going to finish the Superior Arc tomorrow and then start Amazing Vol. 2. I hope everyone enjoyed these set of issues. See you guys later tonight
>>90785489SHe has continued to be a staple of the series since her introduction. She survived The Clone Conspiracy and it doesn't look like she's going anywhere. She's probably going to be tied to The Superior Octopus when he finally makes his appearance.
>>90785489
Oh lol you meant Lily. I don't think she's appeared in anything since the end of Goblin Nation.
Spock will be sorely missed
And I thought Superior was bad before. Slott's just doing too much too fast in these issues.
>>90786263
Time and time again, Slott has proved he's awful at wrapping things up. Superior, Spider-verse, Clone conspiracy, all terrible endings.
