Nolan didn't want his Batman associated with other superheroes as it'd compromise his version of the story, and Singer's Superman flopped with the public.

if anyone wants help coming up with a "series concept" or story concept, character concept, setting, episode idea... etc

ideas I'm looking to develop right now are:
•sky castle (physical layout/construction of said castle, or the floating island it sits on; areas surrounding the castle; features, details; special areas)
•a "setting" (and possibly group of characters) that lends itself to "anything" (stories involving this or that; different time, past/future/present, magic/non-magic, monsters, etc
•a "jigsaw" rip-off: Puzzle Master ("dumbed down"/child-ified for a kid friendly saw-story "episode" or comic/show... example Puzzle Master forces "bad kid" to eat a mountain of candy because he eats too much sweets, if he fails the test he will "get him in trouble with his parents" (as opposed to killing, from "real" Saw)

*these are just my ideas, right now, I want to work on other peoples' ideas too (primarily)

I want to help people come up with ideas for:
•shows
•comics
•characters
•settings
•special items
•bad guys
•stories (slash story hooks)
•dialogue

You don't need to exclude BTAS. It's not even the best DCAU show start to finish (though it probably has a couple of the best DCAU episodes).

I had a free 1 year animation class on Brazil and was them two weeks later caled to work on an animation studio...I had never draw anything digital before.

There is a HUGE lack of animation workers on Brazil and a extremelly high demand. Anyone can get a job.

I see all these jobless animators gringos and think that they would have a retrospectiva good salary here.

I just saw how someone else formatted a comic script and I said "I like that" so I started formatting my scripts in the same exact way, except over time I did a few minor changes to it. I didn't read a book or anything, didn't need to.

You can do what I did and just dive the fuck in. Grab comics that look interesting and give em a try. At the end of the day continuity isn't all that important. Just get a feel for what kinds of stories you like.

It just seems like a lot of them do need some kind of background information. For example, I sort of know who Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, etc the most iconic Xmen are, I know Jean Grey turned into the Phoenix shit or whatever and almost killed everyone. But when I looked at the modern Xmen comics, it seems like Cyclops is some kind of a bad guy now and the Xavier school is now Jean Grey school or some shit and I have no idea how all of that happened. And it's difficult to find out just how far back I need to go to catch up on all this stuff.

For the Avengers, I would recommend Avengers Forever, but that might be throwing you in too deep to start depending on your knowledge of the characters. However, Busiek does a fine job of keeping the reader informed.
For the X-men just read anything from Claremont. He made the X-men into the icons they are today.
