Recurring villains are idiotic in general. The Joker can be good as a one-off, two-parter, or maybe a three-parter. But infinitely recurring villains are a dumb comic-book idea that makes the hero look incompetent and the villain even moreso because they keep failing over and over and over.

He was OK. Shame Suicide Squad removed him from picture, guess we'd be all confused with so many Reverse Flashes running around.

He was alright.
Not great from the outset, but he had a huge amount of potential.

He had a design that got pretty good when you got used to it, and a very petty way of doing things.
And the end of the first arc so perfectly sets him up to just hate the Flash.

Then Venditti gets him out of the picture and sorta deflates all that.
He was okay in Suicide Squad though.

We don't call "modern" rock music "classic" rock music because the songs haven't fermented long enough in the public consciousness. There are modern runs and books that are great, but they won't be classic for a few years.

There's also the issue of a fractured market that, thanks to the internet, deems there will be no universally beloved works in the same way we'll never have a Beatles or a Rolling Stones ever again. It has nothing to do with the quality of the work itself, just the way the work is perceived by the current readerbase.

Personally, I'm hoping Ellis/Shalvey Moon Knight becomes a classic in the coming years.

This, pretty much.
It's why every Age of comics has been or is the Modern Age of Comics because we aren't actually out of the Age. And it won't be a while until we recognize that we are in a new Age and that we have departed from a previous Age.

>Yes. In my writing head, it would. I think Batman/Bruce knows what Superman/Clark brings to the table. I think Superman would definitely be his first call. Some other writers and fans might disagree, but in my head, I've always loved the pairing of those two guys. Obviously, their own disparate elements that they bring and their different perspectives on the world, I think that's what makes them as interesting as hell. They balance each other nicely.

She almost always wrecks Zuko every time she encounters him. And anyway, she tries to one-up literally everyone she meets except for her father.

She doesn't have penis envy, just a huge superiority complex.

There were some pretty good signs (and admittance) in the series and in the book that Azula was jealous of Zuko because he was their mother favorite.
Because of that she always tried to one up in everything.
Now about the penis envy hm maybe that played some part too.

I think that may have been her longing for the mother more than the jealousy of Zuko, as shown by OP's pic, she clearly had mother issues, whether or not she actually wanted her mother to love her or just that she wanted to be the perfect child in the eyes of both her parents, it's hard to say.
