Lol, Fuck this shit.
Is this an edit?

That sounds like a joke to me, OP.
Still not as bad as the "Arkham Knight on PS4" or whatever it was from a WW issue
What are some examples where a character was written as a "bad guy" but the general audience thought he was in the right.
Examples:
Rorschach (audience takes his side, writer wanted them to see him as insane)
Judge Dredd (was origenally supposed to show the horrors of facism, now he's a symbol of justice)
Cyclops

Apparently /co/ for some reason is now sucking the Red Skull's dick because muuuh immigrants.

What do we have to do to realistically get rid of Felicity/the cancer eating at this shows core?
Appeal to the writers?
It doesn't matter. The show is bad. Just stop watching. Green Arrow comics seem like they're decent again so you have no excuse.
>>83187454
I've not watched it since the end of season 3.
And yeah, the new comic looks great. I've been enjoying Percys current run, even if it is strange and doesn't really feel like a GA story.
>>83187436
Don't watch the show. If the shows ratings dwindle the runners has to do something to keep it up. And since Arrow's viewers are ridiculously low, an larger loss can really only result in new staff or that the show is cancelled.
So it's a win-win.
Unless Arrow's characters migrates to the other CW shows.
But if the CW bosses are really brave they'll use the season finale of The Flash to soft reboot it all and now including Supergirl. And since LoT seems to follow their own set of laws of physics, they might not have to be affected by what happened in The Flash.
I think it could be a good way, and possibly only way, to fix Arrow.
Can Waifus cure Suicidal Depression I need this for research purposes

They only make it worse.
I don't think so, but I don't want you to die so I'll try anyways.
>>83187466
>>83187471
But why? It doesn't make sense if I have a waifu shouldn't my ability to be happier suddenly just happen?
What is missing from this equation?
>This is what happens when the original values for which Captain America stood – American pride and patriotism, defense of Constitutional freedom – become unpopular with the left. They either have to convert Cap to leftism, or make clear that he was the villain all along. Because America must either be converted to leftism, or it was the villain all along. As Brevoort says, “Captain America, because he’s draped head to toe in the flag, has more of a larger, more symbolic meaning than many other characters. In an allegorical fashion, you want to make his adventures about where America and where the world is.”
>Of course, the left can’t play this game indefinitely. It turns out that most Americans don’t like the idea of a patriotic Captain America as a Hydra villain. They don’t believe America is historically evil. They don’t believe patriotism is inherently evil, or that pointing out threats of benighted cultures makes you a Nazi. And they’re not going to keep patronizing movies or comics in which the bad guy is America, or in which traditional good guys become bad guys just by virtue of remaining loyal to their principles.
Fucking hate it when today's politics have be forced into comic books.

STOP MAKING COMICS AND STICK TO THE MOVIES

Well, it is.

>Why Marvel Wants To Make Captain America The Bad Guy
Because they knew that it'd be a bigger topic of discussion than DC Rebirth. And you fucks took the bait.
Which should I read if I want to get into Spider-Man?
>>83186956
He's a character entirely dependable on continuity, so unless you're willing to read everything from the beginning, don't bother
Or you just could read Ultimate Spider-Man and be done with it
>>83186956
Oh, you just missed Ultimate Spidey. It just got storytimed a few days ago. First time reading it and its pretty awesome.
>>83187430
>He's a character entirely dependable on continuity, so unless you're willing to read everything from the beginning, don't bother
This is what has kept me from reading Spider-Man for so long. While everyone talks about the great runs, there are apparently a number of really terrible ones that are still required reading.
Just finished reading Johns' run on Green Lantern after a friend recommended it. At first the idea of one corps for each color of the rainbow spectrum sounded silly, but the execution was nothing short of amazing. I've seen a lot of spin-offs since then, like Larfleeze, Red Lanterns, New Guardians, etc, and i'm really interested in the other rings. Should i read them or will i be disappointed?
Sinestro's ongoing was fun and I have heard decent things about early Red Lanterns but I haven't read it. Can't speak for the others.
>>83186936
Heard good things about Sinestro, will check it
The rainbow lanterns were where Johns' GL started to fall apart.
Anyone else checking Nick Spencer's mentions on twitter and laughing their asses off?
Anyone who says the guy who wrote Superior Foes of Spider-Man should be fired is a complete and utter moron.
>using twitter

Sorry chief, I'm not an homo or a girl.
>>83186832
No because I really don't care what other people have to say about things I don't care about.
Is Waid the only writer that ships this?
Bendis and Wilson seem more into Kamala/Miles
>>83186829
Bendis has an ape fetish and Wilson is a coalburner.
>>83186829
>It's not cool to sneak up on girls in alleyways
Every fucking superhero ever does that.
>Shipping Kamala with anyone
But how will I pretend she loves me and me alone
http://www.comicbookmovie.com/comics/dc_comics/dc-rebirth-has-the-cast-of-watchmen-already-started-appearing-in-a142046
what do you think, is it possible that these are the watchmen repurposed by dr manhattan ?
they're saying that in pic related we have nite owl and silk spectre, or aspects of them as their avatars in the nu52
>>83186782
Who are the Watchmen?
>>83186841
feck
i meant rorshach, ozy, the comedian, nite owl and silk spectre are inspirations for new characters in the nu52
>>83186782
I think it's pure and simple clickbait
Look what shitty edgyness Alan Moore forced Geoff Johns write.
Damn you, Alan Moore! Why must you make Geooff Johns and DC write edgy and shitty stories!
Stop using your wizard magic on them!!!
>still thinking Johns is blaming Moore and not creators (including himself) that took the wrong lessons from Watchmen
He literally confirmed this in interviews already
I don't think Johns is blaming Alan Moore. I think he's blaming everyone who thought Moore's take on superheroes was the only correct one.
Manhattan represents Johns, not Moore. He's the penitent sinner, which is why Manhattan is an antagonist, not a villain.
>mfw I just heard the DJ on the radio badmouth the Hydra Cap change
Is this Marvel's blunder of the century?
>>83186278
That anger and attention is delicious to them so no
>His mission is to further the goals and beliefs of Hydra," explained Brevoort. "If that involves taking down the Marvel universe, sure. (But) it may not be as simple as that. It’s not like he’s exchanged his white hat for a black hat — it’s a green hat. We knew it would be like slapping people in the face. The idea of Captain America means something very primal and very strong to the people of this nation, and they have a very visceral reaction when you get to something like that. You want people to feel and react to your story. So far, so good."
>>83186321
It won't work if nobody buys it. This "making fans angry to make more cash" tactic has to stop.
>>83186278
It's all dependent on sales. Brevoort claims that getting readers angry helps sales but it's not actually a guaranteed thing. It's also clouded by the fact they often frontload stuff with variants and exclusive covers.
Characters that remind you of other characters
>Audiences yearn for actually heroic characters in this age where every hack writer thinks he's being subversive and original by writing another anti-hero or making the twist that the good guy is the villain
>Nah's let's just keep doing the same thing we've been doing for close to 30 years over which coincidentally our sales have dangerously decline
They do this shit so much with Superman that I think subversive asshole Superman is basically the default at this point.
>>83186191
Capeshit is the cancer killing comics. Until they die nothing original or creative will happen.
These characters are 60+ years old, I think it's time for them to be retired.
>>83186285
>Until they die nothing original or creative will happen.
New, original and creative things come out every week. Why don't YOU look past the big two and open something good, leave the big two to the kiddies.
>Dr. Manhattan in the DCU piques my interest
>Decide to read Rebirth
>Start with DC Universe: Rebirth #1
>First page
>This tale takes place after Justice League #50 and Superman #52, so read those first!
>Okay
>Read Superman #52
>This is pretty bad but whatever
>Who is this evil superman
>Who is this dark superman
>Superman dies
>Entire comic was a 3 minute read, would've been pretty pissed off if I actually paid for it
>Okay
>Read Justice League #50
>Who the fuck is this chick
>Who the fuck is that chick
>Why is everyone a God
>Who's baby is that
>Who's this evil flash
>Who's this green lantern lady
>What in fuck is going on
>Is Superman still alive
>Give up on Rebirth
I mean Jesus Christ I thought Marvel events were a clusterfuck but I've never read anything as terrible as Justice League #50. Does DC have any idea how inaccessible this mess is? Do they really expect new readers to backtrack and read dozens of trash comics just to understand what's going on for their hip new reboot? No wonder capeshit is dying.
You didn't actually have to read JL and Superman, that was a note for current readers of those books because Rebirth itself contained spoilers for them.
I'm sorry you're retarded and didn't understand this immediately when they included the note.
Wow omg the final issue of a 10 part storyline is confusing if you don't read the first 9 parts. Whodathunk?!?
Fucking retard.
