http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/exclusive-uncovering-spider-mans-the-clone-conspiracy-with-slott-lowe

>Lowe: Dan digs a lot deeper than a lot of previous clone stories. On top of that, our society has advanced so much since "The Clone Saga." There are cloned sheep that are alive and walking around this world. They're growing cloned pieces of people's bodies to graft onto them. So this story has even more relevance.

>Dan's digging into what it is to be a clone. When does a clone stop being something fake and become as real as you or me? And what does it mean for death? This is as much a story about death as it is about cloning.

>Slott: All of the big key moments in his life have been about loss. This is a character who has to deal with death, grief and mourning on a far too regular level than other heroes. And the fact that he's been around for 50-plus years means that all those stories build up like scar tissue.

>I always knew that really early on in my run I was going to do a scene where there'd be a dream sequence of Spider-Man in a graveyard and everybody rising up. There would be this unearthly chorus of all these people who he somehow lost through his action or inaction.

>So much of my run has been about him having the impossible goal of "No One Dies," and then him trying to deal with it when somebody does. In the first issue of this latest volume of "Amazing Spider-Man," you see how he's evolved. He's realized that it's unattainable and he can't have the goal of no one dies, but he's going to do everything in his power to save everyone he possibly can. The character has gone from this impossible mission statement to something more nuanced. Now, we're going to hit him square in the face with the fact that he lives in a comic book world where people can come back to life.

>That's part of the language of superhero comics; people come back. So how is that going to fit into Spider-Man's worldview when he realizes, "What if I can save anybody, even those I've failed?"

>Lowe: The Jackal is definitely a changed man. His outward appearance drives it home. Gone are his days with the furry green look. He's figured some new things out, and his technology is better than it ever has been.

>The big question is, is the Jackal a supervillain if he solves the problem of death? If you could bring a loved one back from the dead, would you? Or if you could keep a loved one from dying, would you? It very much blurs the line between hero and villain and turns things that are black and white into a very big shade of gray.

>Lowe: This is something that Dan and I have been talking about since my first days in the office, two and a half years ago. This is a story unlike any Dan has ever told and I've ever worked on. It's weird, dark and it is very much a story that messes with your head. I had to be sold on it, and the more Dan figured it out and revealed what he wanted to do, the bigger gravitational pull that this story had.

>And at one point, we thought, "This might be too dicey!" [Laughs] It became a freight train that couldn't be stopped and kept picking up speed.

FACT: DC Rebirth titles are mostly good but they seem better than they actually are because a lot of current Marvel books aren't as good as they were a year or two ago.

I'm not reading a lot of Marvel right now so I can't really compare, but I think DC Rebirth is just kinda okay and the overall quality isn't radically different from pre-Rebirth, it's just that the mainstream superhero-comics industry cashes in on nostalgia, because fans are less interested in quality of works than they are in aspects of the shared in-universe history and mythology of characters. So, being like, "hey look, it's Johnny Thunder!" makes them wet their pants with glee, as people fetishize the past and love to revisit shit that wasn't even that good the first time (I mean, the time we refer to as the "Golden Age of Comics" had anonymous creative teams who were treated like shit writing simplistic books for kids; they had a lot of cool, awesome ideas, but the comics industry is probably objectively better in the 2000s than it was in the '40s).
>>
Ehh. It's just that DC's lineup consisted of more mediocre and bad titles back then instead which they've now rectified. The only outstanding Marvel titles that I sorely miss are Fraction's Hawkeye and Superior Foes.

It stuck out it's head real fast. But jump? No. That turtle probably moved an inch or two at best.

Jason was in Hell too when he was dead. He appeared as a ghost and everything.

DC characters go to Hell a lot.

What did Jason do that got him damned, aside from the fan base not liking him much? I mean, at least with Damian there's all that killing, but Jason?

In homage to the Rio Olympics, here's a Sitio do Picapáu Amarelo thread.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h749ZR1aGJ4

You can watch episode of this on Kisscartoon, subbed in English. Translated it means "the Yellow Woodpecker Farm. Its a Brazilian cartoon based on a children's novel series written by Monteiro Lobato.

This cartoon is just hilarious. Emilia the doll is just so adorable, her facial expressions are just priceless. This cartoon is basically about Narizinho, Pedrinho, and Emilia going on silly adventures together and about life on the farm.

This is a fun cartoon to watch, its bright, colorful, cute, and shows off a lot of things about Brazilian culture that I didn't know about before.

Along wiht Loud House, Ruby Gloom, Star VS, Steven Universe and all the other cancerous crap.

If they made the Robin suit in BVS red and green, do you think more people would have understood what it was?

It was onscreen for about 5 seconds, and if you aren't looking for it you might not notice the "R". I had to explain to a couple of my normie friends what it was.

If they made it the right color, and had Alfred bring up Robin's death, maybe the killing would have been understood better.

>>
>>85574534
Normies don't know who Robin is so it wouldn't have made a difference. You're overestimating their intelligence.
>>
>>85574534
It seemed pretty straightforward to me, all my friends understood it.
>>
>>85574599
Old normies will know Robin for the Adam West TV series or the million spoofs and parodies that came out of it during the past 50 years. 30~40 year old normies will know him for the Batman and Robin movies from the 80's/90's.

Young normies will know him for Batman TAS or Teen Titans. Kid normies will know him for TTG or Young Justice.

Robin has been a staple in Batman media for the past 50 years. He's as recognizable as Alfred or Bat-girl.
