I've been out of the loop for the past few years on reading DC as Nu52 was terrible and put me off on reading most serials.
But lately I've been hearing DC is making a comeback, is this true or am I being rused again? And if they're actually good, what are the recommended series?
>>86684486
DC Rebirth is just an elaborate prank being pulled by 4chan in conjunction with the rest of the world specifically to fuck with Geoff Johns by making him think that he actually helped save a dying company/industry with his radical idea of giving people what they actually want instead making them pissed off all of the time.
>>86684486
I never understood nu52, with Infinity Crisis and Final Crisis it was about bringing the Golden Age and Silver Age DC universe back from the dead after people saw that Crisis On Inifinity Earths was a mistake.
Flashpoint and Nu52 are like the Zero Hour (anyone remember this event?)

>his radical idea of giving people what they actually want instead making them pissed off all of the time.
What stupidity is this? Everyone knows the only way to save comics is to constantly irritate our small and ever-shrinking base of loyal customers!
So why didn't Garnet break onion's neck immediately after this?

It was all Steven's fault.

also rose probably forbade them from hurting humans right from the start

Defend all human beings, even the ones that you don't understand,
Believe in love that is out of anyone's control,
And then risk everything for it!"

How many times is Marvel going to relaunch Captain Marvel?
Didnt her first ongoing managed to get 50 issues or something?
>>86683202
I picked up the first issue of Black Panther and not only did I think it was a pretty average comic, I had no fucking clue what was going on. This is no doubt a result of Hickman getting hold of the character for a few years. Why they would allow that directly prior to his big screen debut, I have no idea.
>>86683202
>WTF when did this become one of Marvel's biggest books?
I guess black people do buy comics.

The supposed 3rd season renewal link has nothing to do with the show, it's about someone who sells nuts at a farmers market.

With the way Marvel are trying to emulate the batfamily with Spider-Man this was inevitable

I don't get it. This movie has all of the making of a straight-to-video movie, but the company that is making it has such genuine enthusiasm for it. It doesn't even come out until 2018, yet going back to when it was first announced years ago, they've been posting production artwork and detailed summaries.
Does this movie have a snowball's chance in hell of accomplishing anything are are they just deluded?

It's about an arctic fox named Swifty who teams up with a polar bear, two otters and his red-fox love interest to take down an evil walrus.
norm of the north 2 when?
>>86682259
It looks cute, but no. Even by lower today standards it looks barely close to stork in terms of quality.
Not to mention Zootopia already happened and this seems to be more humanoid talking animal types.
Atleast it won't be Norm of the North.
Ehh, could end up getting a limited release a la Norm. At the very least it looks better than that movie, and it's pretty nice to see that at least some fairly talented people are behind it; even if it might not show in the finished film.
Can you guys explain this guy to me.
He was a guy who had a black hole inside his head and then he actually wasn't real and didn't but actually he was real and did and it wasn't really him and then he was dead but not really and then he took his helmet off

Does anyone know where I can find an online version of this, preferably for free? I'm not much into comics but I stumbled across a mention of it and it looks interesting.
Kiss cartoon. Has a link to free comics
>>86682206
It doesn't appear to be on there, alas.
>>86682147
Have you tried your local Library? They might even be able to get books from other branches.
Why doesn't Cartoon Network ever play any of their old shows like Courage the Cowardly Dog even though it's near Halloween? Why do they always play the same shows over and over again? Other networks don't have this problem and will vary it up even if they have to show something like Seinfeld from 30 years ago, even Adult Swim doesn't suffer from this problem as much as CN.
>>86682145
They railroaded much of their older shows to their Boomerang channel at first, then they turned that channel into a dumping ground for shit that is not even old enough to be played next to the Hanna Barbera, Tex Avery, Chuck Jones, Bob Clampett, MGM, etc. nor around the time of the first and second wave of their Cartoons Cartoons stuff.
I was going to say that they air them on Boomerang until I looked at their schedule. During the day, it's the exact same thing, except the shows are the reboots of older shows.
>>86682145
because everyone can already watch them on-line
re-runs of old shows have notoriously bad ratings
Why did MCU Tony's personality change so much past Iron Man 1?
In that movie, he acted like a billionaire. Always in suits or tuxedos or button downs, generally nice clothes. His personality was a great Tony Stark adaptation.
Then Iron Man 2 hits and he's in ripped jeans and Walmart shirts, quips every two minutes, and just isn't very charming.
The only film that brought Tony back to his IM1 portrayal is Civil War.
>>86682115
Gisnep.
>>86682115
He was changed by his experiences in Iron Man 1.
His character did this thing called developing, I know its a hard concept for cape fans to understand, but sometimes people can change when things happen to them.
>>86682621
This.
Tony is literally the only character that develops. Even Cap seems to stagnate.

So would they actually do a Howard the Duck movie? Because that would be amusing.
>>86681882
uhm yeah they plan to release one in 1986... better go check it out on google
>>86681929
He means in the MCU. That's what would make it crazy.
>>86681882
No, it was just so that the MCU nerds who read about Howard's first movie on Wikipedia could feel special about recognizing such an 'obscure' character.
Ok, what the fuck is wrong with the "heroines" in this comic ? Among some of their "achievements" that I can recall at the moment are:
>travelling back in time to break up the main character's family and brainwash his potential nice childhood crush into someone that's interested in everyone beside him
>ruin his other potential relationship, either through incompetence or out of jealousy
>damn his sister to hell
>put him in a potentially lethal relationship
>turn him into a woman, possibly permanently
>take naked pictures of him
>now potentially rape ?
