I've just read his first apparition. It proved he was a slightly screwed up, dirty player, smart and very competent guy since day one.
Next I plan to read avengers. I'm not very knowledgeable about old comics, but these digital scans read pretty well. I wish the West Coast scans were this clear and defined.
That's it. I don't have images of Clint, but I fucking love him, but I didn't read any of his old stories.
Also, I miss him wearing some flashing costume. Black and purple is alright. But he needs more purple, or pink, or whatever.

Cap's kooky quartet years were the beginning of the avengers comics becoming good. Prior to that every issue was a bunch of bullshit till Thor saved the day. For this Hawkeye will always be one of my personal favorites

So... these two aren't really that bad of guys are they? There master plan is to stop gentrification and improve the community, they provide a local buisnesd that hires many people who wouldnt get jobs other wise and act as a center of art suppott for Harlem and they even avoid attacking neutral places like Pop's babershop. When a guy did go off the reservation he was punished for it and Cottonmouth was even going to rebuild the shop.
Like the worst thing he did was kill Shameek amd the dude was a psycho dick who robbed his boss.
Even the "crime" they are doing isnt that bad,like Cottonmouth said its all just Second Ammendment shit.
Hell Cottonmouth and Black Mabel are less legally grey than most superheroes are.
I dont mean this as an X DID NOTHING WRONG shitpost but they dont seem like they are bad or hell even evil. Cottonmouth strikes as more lawful neutral, eye for the eye code of the streets type shit and Black Mabel legit is about Harlem any costs, even if its shake downs (and people were WILLINGLY supporting her anyway) they barely seem like villains; anti heroes even

Can Marvel be saved? People claim they want a "Marvel Rebirth", but is that possible?
Dropping the legacy characters would help nothing - outside of Miles Morales and JaneThor, they're good characters who are well recieved when written well. Getting rid of the likes of Chulk, Kamala Khan, Robbie Reyes and SamCap would be exactly the kind of regression towards a safe, boring status quo that people accuse Rebirth of, whether warranted or not.
The problem is - Marvel's editorial and writing staff are completely in the shitter at the moment. If they want to "Rebirth" Marvel, they have to do it with the likes of Slott, Bendis, Hopeless and Aaron. Their good writers are mostly limited to Al Ewing and a few only good for comedy, and they can't get proven greats on-board because most of them have already gone DC exclusive. Editorial, meanwhile, isn't going to change until the awful editors they have stop being friends with the higher-ups.
Is a Rebirth situation possible with the writers Marvel has now and whatever authors haven't gone DC exclusive? What can be done at this point?

Rebirth didn't do any of that though. For the most part Marvel Rebirth would just be resurrecting the originals to classic form. But from what I gather Rebirth isn't about literally doing away with the New52 but getting back to roots and bringing back some shit they ditched that ended up alienating their core in the end but they're not outright rejecting everything in the New52 except Superbro.
Marvel's rebirth would probably be more akin to ditching the perpetual event chain and stop shitting on their fans in and outside of comics.
