Best cheese?
How much salsa & guacamole is too much?
Chilli or no chilli?
>>9181912
No chilli
Queso
Fresh jalapeƱos, not pickled
Cilantro
Chopped onion
Guac
Sourcream
Salsa, red
I'm partial to smoked cheddar - hell, any smoked cheese will do, I guess. I'm not too fond of salsa, but a spoonful of guacamole and sour cream on the side can go a long way.

talk about drinking on a monday morning
Tfw go to Kentucky because relax laws on beers
Trying to taper off using beer. Thursday, Friday, Saturday I drank vodka all day long. Went to the ER to try and get detox meds, but those cocksuckers told me they dont dispense those.
So when I feel asleep drunk last night I felt like a piece of shit and told myself I was going to stop drinking. After a good night's sleep I already am pondering the idea of drinking again tonight. Am I an alcohol?
Has anyone here successfully copied the chick-fil-a sauce? My God is that stuff is tasty!
>>9181485
im not christian enough to recreate that sauce. it takes supreme faith to make something that good
>from Austin
>Visiting Kansas City
>Try some KC BBQ
>Comes out already covered in sauce, dry as fuck
>Sacrilegious mockery in food form.
sorry KC, you lost this one.
I lived in Austin for three years and when it comes to brisket or pulled pork, Texas style is as good as it gets.
When it comes to pork ribs though, I think Memphis style is definitely the best. Slathered with sauce and then grilled so that the sauce caramelizes and gets slightly charred in some spots.
>>9181184
If you're from Austin then you know nothing about pork barbecue. Stick to your fatty brisket and beef ribs
Kansas City, are you even trying?
No, the answer is no.
Belgian or Swiss chocolate, my nigs?
>>9181152
>Not mentioning German chocolate
>>9181281
You're right. Sorry, pham. Forgot Latvian and French chocolate too.

Whatever is on sale.
My local grocery store just stopped carrying my preferred bacon, so its spurred this thread.
>what is your favorite type of bacon?
mine is thick cut peppered bacon
>can bacon truly make everything better?
and as a final act of desperation
>what is your preferred brand of bacon?
>>9181130
Wright's. I'll pepper it myself with fresh cracked pepper and then baked on foil in the oven until it's just crispy. Always turns out perfect.
I need some suggestions. I have an itch to cook, but I only have a mishmash of ingredients.
>Peanut butter
>Flour
>Shit ton of shredded mozzarella
>A dozen eggs
>Baking chocolate and confectioners sugar
>Baking soda and powder
>Sugar
>Tomato sauce
>Yeast
>Lots of spices
>Butter
>Marshmallows
Anything come to mind? I was thinking maybe breadsticks, perhaps fudge. I made a pizza pie recently, but maybe another pizza. But any other suggestions?
>>9181111
>I made a pizza pie recently
You mean a pizza.
>>9181121
Yeah,
>but maybe another pizza.

>>9181093
i love the convenience when im bushed.
does anyone have data on the charges on restaurants for using these apps? I've had restaurants tell me to stop using Eat24 because the overhead was retarded.
i want to support local restaurants but i don't want to have them break limbs delivering to me.
>paying MORE to get fast food shoved in your face
what is wrong with you lazy faggots
>>9181093
>going to mcdonalds for any reason other than paying the bare minimum in cost
Paying some fucker $5 to bring me cold mcdonalds sounds like an absolute waste, but more power to you, I guess.
dessert thread? dessert thread. what is /ck/'s favorite dessert?
For me, it's brownies and blondies. Best food texture ever
>>9181024
Cakey or fudgy brownies though?
>dessert
Sorry I'm not an American child.
Hey /ck/
Gonna make some stock today, I've got a bunch of bones but they're frozen. I've heard some sources say "just throw them in frozen" and some others are like "wait like an hour or two for them to thaw a little"
Thoughts and opinions?
>>9180977
Additional question: if they need to thaw a little would putting them in the oven for a little be helpful?
>>9180977
They don't need to thaw, you might just need to simmer them for a little bit longer. It's not like meat where you have to avoid overcooking it, so doing it from frozen is fine.
>>9180984
You can roast the bones if you want that kind of flavor in your stock but don't do it to thaw them out.
What's the consensus on the greatest breakfast estaishment of all time, the international house of pancakes?
>>9180913
Pretty bad.
1) They never have genuine maple syrup, it's always that awful artificially flavored shit that tastes like it came from a telephone pole instead of an actual tree.
2) Long wait times are the norm, at least for all the ones near me. Long wait for mediocre food? No thank you.
3) Whatever cooking oil they use has a bad aftertaste, and it permeates nearly everything on the menu.
Ex IHOP night shift manager here...
Fuck ihop, fuck all thier food; Fuck thr shitty eggs (unless you order anything other than scrambled you will get fake egg), pancakes cooked with margarine and not butter (only the waffles are cooked with butter) and the syrup caddies which have diseases on them that no medical ptofessional could identify.

How many times a day do you drink coffee /ck/?
>2-3packs of instant coffee
>4-5packs if i'm bored
>>9180879
Zero, Im one of those fags that don't drink caffeinated beverages.

>>9180879
Somedays none, somedays 6 cups.
How do you stop your co-workers from making fun of you for eating the same thing everyday?
How can they afford to spend $15 a day on lunch when they're earning the same as me?
Breakfast: 2 bacon + 2 eggs
Lunch: 3 Chicken/Beef/Pork wraps with lettuce+bell pepers+onions+broccoli+beansprouts
Dinner: cooked at home
>>9180589
>How do you stop your co-workers from making fun of you for eating the same thing everyday?
you tell them to fuck off and mind their own business. tell them you appreciate the comforts of every day routine, the security of the familiar. and tranquility of repetition. also its easy to meal prep obviously. making 1 meal 7 times is easier than making 7 meals at once.
>Calls himself a cook
>Doesn't grow his own non-GMO vegetables, fruits, spices and herbs
>Doesn't own his own non-GMO cow and milks it to make non-GMO milk, non-GMO cheese and non-GMO butter
>Doesn't grow his own grain and hand mill his own grain to make flours
How does it feel gulping down all those GMO substances? Natural is always better, the government is just dumbing you done through substances they inject into food. In remote villages isolated from the rest of the world people live 200+ years old and they've never had any of these GMO foods or vaccinations. It's only now the government and scientist corporations are trying to shut the little man down and are hunting all these ancient age old recipes and techniques of growing true natural food. This is why they're after Africa because they want the rich ancient recipes and agriculture techniques that were long lost!!!!
>>9180521
>Doesn't grow his own non-GMO vegetables,
fruits, spices and herbs
My gardens are literally on another continent. My family still maintains them, though. I miss fruit, most of all. All store bought fruit tastes like water.
>Doesn't own his own non-GMO cow and milks it to make non-GMO milk, non-GMO cheese and non-GMO butter
Cows are too much maintenance for non-commercial farming. Sheep and goats is what people use. We have 2 goats. They produce too much milk for our small family of 5.
>Doesn't grow his own grain and hand mill his own grain to make flours
No, we don't lol.
>2017
>Being anti GMO for any reason besides dislike of monsanto's practices
Oh big words so scary. Kill you're are self.
Aren't all fruits and vegetables nowadays GMOs? Historically speaking. There's no such thing as a pure plant. It's always been messed with for higher yield, sustainability, etc. So labeling something as a nongmo is asinine.
