im at my friends house and im fucking hungry, do any of you know some nonautistic french fry recipes that are more on the simple side?
Add ketchup
>>7415989
holy shit i need to go to bed i seriously just fucking asked for french fry recipes
>>7416004
add horseradish to the ketchup, fries with cocktail sauce are dank as fuck
>order Buffalo chicken
>it's actually Nashville chicken
>order a chilli joe
>it's actually shit in a bun
>order 'za
>its actually a soup
>>7415747
Looks delicious though
>tfw non-dairy milk prices skyrocket to 4.50 per HALF GALLON
>tfw lactose-free based milk is even more expensive
it sucks being lactose intolerant.
Maybe you should just drink something else? Maybe some gasoline?
>>7415633
Why don't you just drink almond milk or something then.
>>7415637
Have you ever tried to milk an almond?
Fazoli's thread?
No.
which is better Fazoli's or Chef Boyardee?
1200% VITAMIN C
Enjoy your colds and weak immune system faggots. I'm literally drinking liquid gold. This shit is thoroughly good. You can't possibly ask for a better health drink.
>>7414168
obviously it doesn't make you any smarter.
>>7414168
1200% want? Your RDI?
Sounds like a liquid migraine.
>OJ
>self made smoothies

Let me get a rate
>>7418214
th-that's just a snack, right?
>>7418216
Its my din din
Probably tastes good, but very depressing presentation.
The meal of a sad, basement-dwelling NEET.
So I'm going to open this bottle of "Met" beer which I got as a present.
Have any of you tried it?
I don't know a lot about beer but from lurking in the generals I get a nagging suspision that I'm about to put some dank meme inside me.
>>7417938
That would be mead, yes?
Prepare for something likely more sweet than you bargained for.
>>7417959
I don't think so. Google reveals it's some old belgian style
>>7417967
Deutsch: Das Original aus dem Wikingerland um Haithabu.
English: The original mead from the land of vikings at Hedeby.
Also, notice the honeycomb pattern on the bottle.
Mead is made from honey.
is this a meme? why else would everybody on this board be in agreement that these are finest pieces of cookware available?
>>7417734
because they are extremely versatile. they also have amazing heat distribution and retention and are very durable, pretty hard to warp a cast iron pan. theres a lot more to them, just look it up
>>7417734
They aren't a meme and aren't overrated....but over recommended as being required for everything
The only thing I think they are required for is a steak and oven pizza
>>7417752
>extremely versatile
false, you literally cannot cook anything that requires precise temperature control in one. cast iron has shit thermal conductivity
>hard to warp
why are you doing something to your cookware that can warp it in the first place?
cast iron has its place in the kitchen but it certainly isn't the miracle everyone here seems to think it is
What are your favorite cooking videos? This isn't a cringe thread please only videos of people cooking things you enjoy.

italian what? this actually is a cringe thread as long that your video is about italian dish.....
Went form working at a mid-end tier local pizza place to working for a semi-shitty regional pizza place.
Breaks down like this:
Mom and pop:
>great people
>awesome food, take pride in my work
>work as kitchen slave making pasta dishes and salads, sometimes have to make pizza by hand
>pay is great, eventually hour become fucked because owner hired his lifelong friend back to do my job
>quit because get 15 hours a week
Shitty regional chain:
>get hired on the spot as a shift leader
>quality is barely past Pizza Hut - have zero pride in my job
>hours are guaranteed, but pay sucks and raises promised to me during hiring interview aren't worth a damn (fifty cents here and there, not anywhere what I was making)
>much later hours
>more responsibilities
>can't even subsist on in-house food because it's shit.
The counter girl and I got to talking and we're both griping about our shrinking paychecks. She says that she's thinking about applying to the Cheesecake Factory because they've been fucking her on hours after they hired on a second counter girl. I casually say that I wish that hey were hiring line cooks, she immediately says that they are, pulls out her phone and shows me.
At my old job I was more or less a short order cook under immense strain and have no experience as a line cook. However, I'd be more than grateful to start out as a prep cook and work my way to line cook, since the pay looks good.
This isn't meant to be a career, I'm going back to school but I'd like a job that I don't dread going to and has a good paycheck. As it stands, apparently, Taco Bell shift leaders make more than I do and I want to have some pride in my work (I like cooking and I think I do it well).
From what the counter girl told me, it seems like they fired a shitty crew or a whole crew left because all positions are open at Cheesecake Factory. So that's worth considering.
Should I go see what Cheesecake Factory has to offer? I really sort of hate my job right now.
>>7416111
tl;dr: should I leave my job where hours are guaranteed, but hourly is shit to get a job where hours might not be guaranteed and the pay and work is better?
I ain't going back to my old job because I'd have to have the same conversation with the owner about how I'm working too much or too little.
I have four years of experience working the food service industry so technically I could easily get the job at The Cheesecake Factory. My references would speak well of me, additionally.
I just want a job where I'm producing something worth a damn, the hours are flexible (weekends are shot obviously), I can hang around other drunks and the pay is half-way decent.
Also, I would love some feedback from other Cheesecake Factory employees, past and present.
>>7416135
>I have four years of experience working the food service industry
how do you not already know that most of us work two jobs?
>>7416137
I don't want to work two jobs, I just want to work 30-35 hours while I finish my degree.
anyone else eat loads of ramen? I only use 1/4 of the seasoning packet so i dont think its that unhealthy
>>7414211
Yeah, but not the instant stuff.
>>only 1/4 the packet
So it's not the sodium bomb it usually is, but it's still seriously lacking in nutrients.
>>7414226
the instant ones have tons of saturated fat too
I looked at the nutrition label and thought it was so high because creamy chicken, but I went back and looked at all flavors and they were all the same
>>7414233
Try looking at better brands than the 10 cent slop that OP posted.
Is the difference between different brands of cast iron the real life or just fantasy? I have Lodge, Griswold, and some walmart shit-brand cast iron and they all cook just the same.
also, ara/ck/nid thread
bonus points if anyone can tell me if it's worth getting staub/creuset over Lodge or anyone else for enameled coated types
dumping spiders till i get answer
>>7414153
Hello /ck/,
I've come from the US food wasteland to challenge you all to a showdown. Sort of. I need school lunch ideas! Show me what you got /ck/!
Here are the rules:
-Cold/Sack Lunch ideas only
-Must contain minimum 2 ounces and maximum 3 ounces source of protein per serving
-Must contain minium 2 ounces and maximum 3 ounces of grains per serving
-Must be easily modifiable to accomodate vegetarian, gluten intolerant, and dairy intolerant children
-Must contain widely accepted ingredients to appeal to picky eaters
-Must be relatively affordable to produce
Think you got what it takes? Show me. If you give me a usable idea, you'll be participating in a venture to feed thousands of children healthier, higher quality school lunches.
>pic related, Israeli Couscous Primavera. Discontinued due to lack of interest among fat children.
>please, /ck/, I don't wanna be a fatty when I grow up!
Just give them a loaf of bread, some cheese, and a small, boiled potato. That's what I've been eating for the past 4 months.
Go steal ideas to propose on shark tank somewhere else retard
