It's happening
It's just a senile old faggot trying to fuck with the market. It's not happening unless you let it.

Explain.
Is it happening or is it fake?
As someone grown up in a socialist family, how can I shed this incredible unproductive and destructive mindset for all and become a capitalist.
Why, because socialism is the ideology of death
Well first define what it means to be a capitalist.
>>1297791
Entrepreneurship by legal means. I have no understanding of economics or investing. Give me a introduction or some books.
I'm from Northern Europe by the way. My parents are both public employees who're completely against investing. I read that book Rich Dad Poor Dad and that opened my eyes. My parents are the classical example of the Poor Dad.

But I have some questions.
What happens if the state provides services for poor people, like in state capitalist countries like china but those are so poor people can be hired and have a job, a basic income making the goods and services they will later buy.
What happens if next to those public sector there's also a normal private sector, like any normal capitalist country?
Has anyone tried this in history?
>>1297279
>What happens if next to those public sector there's also a normal private sector, like any normal capitalist country?
When the state controls the oligarchs, there is no "normal" private sector like in a free market.
The private sector is entirely at the whim and dictated by the few state oligarchs.
These systems promote corruption, favoritism, & kill innovation.
See: Russia, China
>>1297380
I don't mean trully comunist shitholes.
It was just an idea:
Oh, let's make this new thing:
There's a public sector to provide cheap goods to poor people and there's a private sector to provide goods to middle and high income people.
>>1297388
>There's a public sector to provide cheap goods to poor people
This won't happen, government will always be less efficient than the private market.
Alright boys. I'll be receiving around 200k over the course of the next 8 months (inheritance, no will, waiting on probate nonesense).
What skills do I need to learn to make my money, make more money?
Is a stock broker a waste of my time?
Would business classes teach me anything I can't learn in my free time?
Finally, I'll be continuing my night job which fully pays for my daily expenses, rent, etc. I'll be able to fully utilize the 200k without living off of it after a few quality of life purchases.
Oh sweet goddamn, KEK in I.d. it's a sign.

no, learn how to evaluate stocks. everything you need to get you started you can find in gurufocus webinars and investopedia.

learning how to invest is not the hard part of making money, but knowing where to invest.

They invest your unsettled funds after a trade.
It's also pretty basic software.
> When is it coming to my country?
Probably never. They only have plans on an Australian beta ( https://robinhood.com/au/).
> It's been X days, why isn't my account isn't verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.
> Is this the right place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
No, please go to Stocktwits, Plebbit, or one of our many chat groups.
> What's a good penny stock to invest in?
Don't buy penny stocks you cum guzzling mouth breathing retard.
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want to go open a second account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using Yahoo/Google finance or even Stocktwits for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

I would get a trade apprenticeship. Then probably lose my job in 2008.

I'd probably kill myself, senpai. Assuming I knew then what I know now.
I definitely want to get better at public speaking, and practical experience in a comfortable environment seems like the easiest way to reach that goal.
Anyone been to toast masters? Seems like it's for legit autists kind of but also seems pretty neat
Like anything, if the group isn't shit, it will help a lot. If the group is shit, you'll have to figure it out for yourself and just better yourself. Def worth a try if you ever plan on moving into a management role.
Recommended. Even if you only go a couple of times and it turns out it's not for you, you're not out much money and you'll meet new people.
Good way to meet career minded chicks?
I work at Bloomberg's Hong Kong base. Today we received notice that articles on China can no longer be published if it reflects poorly on the Chinese government unless approved by our chief "ethics" editor.
Is Hong Kong dying? Should I try and transfer to Singapore? It seems like the CCP will continue milking this cow while they can, but everyone is jumping ship.
Also is there a way to profit off of HK's fall or is it simply too slow to be worth while?
Thoughts /biz/?
>>1296569
>Thoughts /biz/?
You work for Bloomberg and are complaining that Asian news service is being censored? Are you serious?
>>1296575
Hong Kong is not the same as mainland China. We can publish anything we want legally speaking, it is just that recently the CCP has been denying Bloomberg employees visas to the mainland.
Hong Kong isn't dying, it's in a transition. Last couple years the economy has been based on easy/illegal money investments and China retail sales, now money transactions are getting regulated tighter and our competitive advantage in retail sales has been nulled by the Internet and Chinese are going to Europe to shop with better deals over there.
With regards to freedom, personal freedom of expression in HK is pretty high. Yes, any large scale dis against the mainland publicly is a risk but it happens all the time in Hk, and overall you can basically do and say what you want in HK all the time.
Singapore has a much more coservative culture in general. You can't chew gum, you cant drink after 10pm, and any discussions are superficial and shallow due to the Singaporean preference to shy away from any confrontation or "rocking the boat". So all discussions revolve around food, travel, and shopping. Try to talk about anything with an opinion and you'll be meet with deflection and steered towards talking about food.
In HK, you can have an opinion and openly discuss it with others while they give you their two cents. People in Hk are more than willing to talk about their ideas and feelings openly. The city is more vibrant than Singapore by a mile!
Hk has a better night life, better quality eats, better prospects to make money and build a empire, better outdoor activities, better history, more vibrant culture, and the people in general are more outgoing. Also, if vices are your kinda thing, hookers are legal, drugs are of better quality, and there are way more willing participants. But that stuff is degenerate.
Now is you are a journalist who feels like his freedom of press is being Encroached on, then Asia in general is not your thing.
I have about $400 and about a month's time to do what I want with it. I need to spend it after about 6-7 weeks from this point. I want to make a profit of some kind. I know nothing is 100% guaranteed, but does anyone have any ideas for a near guaranteed profit in that period of time? Investment ideas? Etc?

Go to Costco. Buy candy bars. Sell them for $1 each. Bust your ass and get turned down 1,000 times, but finally sell all the candy bars. $7.63 profit.

I'm an autist and I suck at trading. being a jew would be more useful.
what do you mean when you guys say "trading?" do you mean day trading? Or being employed as a trader, is it difficult to become a trader? What does one need to learn?

You just need to be an engineer.
I'm a first year finance student that is doing unpaid shenanigans at a medium sized finance firm (they do other stuff, so IDK if I will be with finance people). I suspect I will be subject to bitch work, office boy shit because I'm a first year that has had no office work previous.
What are some things I should keep in mind like dresscode, etiquette, impressing my superiors so I get paid work etc.
Dress the part. Be professional. Do everything that is asked for you and then some.
Always keep in mind that this isn't a summer placement, this is a few month long interview. Their are 100 other finance students who would sell their mothers for the position you're in, don't forget that.
