I have a 9 year gap in my CV. I have never worked a day in my life after graduation (nursing school).
Is there hope for people like me? How do I explain the gap? I can't tell them I've been having a case of the sadsies for 9 years. Especially not since it's in the medical field, where I'm supposed to be healthy.

How do I tackle this if they even invite me for an interview? I don't want to lie. What's a good way to phrase a response?

Most companies dont take on graduates if they graduated over 2 years ago, let alone 9. If you had experience it might be ok, otherwise you're kinda fucked. Sorry brother
>>
You travaled for 9 years, who care

In the last couple of years or so there's been a trend of barbershops appearing and more men taking an interest in grooming their hair/beard.

As a result of this, there's been an interest in buying/using pomade. Almost all of the pomade being sold in my country is imported from the US so there's an extra cost of importing and due to being produced in a more expensive country. I noticed there's noone making any pomade in my country and I thought of doing it myself and selling it for a fraction of the cost of the US imported varieties. It's quite an easy product to make, just need to find someone who can produce it and package it and I'll do the rest myself.

Is this an okay idea or is the fact that noone's jumped on the idea yet mean there's not really a market for it?

>>
I would hurry if I was you. Someone else is probably going to do the same because these types of hypes are easy to spot.
>>
Test the idea cheaply (landing page + some cpc traffic)
If it works, go for it
>>
You can make your own pomade. I don't know how crafty you are but its super simple.

Also pomade is pretty expensive (well most of them) and you could make a decent buck.

Can someone explain to me if shilling works or is worthwhile.

So much, from what I as a noncoiner can see, shilling on ETH it's embarrassing. How much could you make from simply shilling all day on a shit website like /biz?

Make $10.

Shillers. Want to chip in?
4 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1854125
Shilling a coin makes the coin stronger. So those who bought cheap have the best outcome. To think about it, it's a pyramid scheme, because those you shill will shill for themselves as well. I shilled enough to earn 12k in ETH so...it werks
>>
Call yourself online reputation consultant, charge $100/h or a retainer of $1000+ a month and outsource the shilling
>>
>>1854132
I understand they theory. But how far and wide have you shilled to earn that.
And with how much investment.

Not just Shit posting on biz, but much wider?

If you want a decent paying job, try moving to a place in Texas where they need workers in oil plants. The odds are against you because of the high risk of dying, but you'll be making like 15 dollars an hour.
>>
>>1854117
It doesnt have to be high paying just something not shitty like working at mcdonalds

Kinda useless, they'll just store your cv and when they get a request they might match you. Only head hunters actively search to fill a position. Oh and they take like 10-20% of first year salary

I work for a restaurant as a server/busboy/waitress. My fellow employees and I all earn tips that are pooled and distributed evenly (I'm guessing) in cash with each pay check. Last week, my employers put up a notice of some meeting minutes that we all had to sign, despite not having gone to the meeting, nor even being invited. One of the minutes said that we as the employees would be tested on what we have learned regarding the job so far. Anyone who doesn't pass with a 95% or higher will have their tips pulled and distributed to the rest of the employees who did pass. I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, which is why I'm asking here, but is this legal? I live in CA and according to the minimal amount of research I can do via Google it doesn't seem legal, but I could be missing something.

"Labor Code Section 351 prohibits employers and their agents from sharing in or keeping any portion of a gratuity left for or given to one or more employees by a patron. Furthermore it is illegal for employers to make wage deductions from gratuities, or from using gratuities as direct or indirect credits against an employee's wages. The law further states that gratuities are the sole property of the employee or employees to whom they are given."

[Deleted my previous post because I was wrong. This is why /biz/ is not legal advice.]
I re-read something, and it's a gray area.
Management is allowed to enforce a tip pool and redistribute tips in a way that's "fair and reasonable". Denying tips entirely to the guy who collected them in-hand probably wouldn't meet that standard in court, but there's no blanket rule against it.
>>
The owners are trying to fire people but being complete pussies about it by trying to make people quit with their test.

Quit that restaurant, its ran by idiots.
>>
pass the test and feel happy about extra cash when someone else fails
quit job if you fail the test, you are a burden for the restaurant

1000 years because you can't predict the market
>>
>>1854079
Use autistic finance skills and company/market news to forecast earnings of a company. If increase expected (from prior period, yearly/ quarterly), long with a call equity option. If decrease expected, short with put.

Will lose significant amounts to begin with, but it could be possible to gradually improve on forecasting, so that you eventually win more than you lose.

Granted, I haven't yet put any of this to practice, and it's obviously going to be a bit more complicated. But impossible? Not too sure there.

It would be really great if /biz/ itself was an insider group. A good insidergroup. Why isn't anyone predicting Decred and SDC on poloniex? or how about the coins on Bittrex?

I think crypto trading could be more than just casino betting if someone educated and naturally instinct-driven was here. But most introverts don't have confidence and a knack for sixth sense.

But you can predict a steady flowing pump by smaller fish.
You can also predict a sudden increase in volume and interest is going to be a possible target for a group of hungry whales.

Is cryptocurrency really worth investing in instead of stock or something else? Or is it just a meme you guys like to throw at each other?

Real answers please, no meming. It appears that half this board is posts about cryptocurrency, yet I still don't know whether it's a decent investment.

Nigga, is pennies to over $1200 per coin a good investment? You tell me.
>>

I've had better luck with coins than stock. Made over 2000 in two days. Stocks are really unpredictable and any news will scare everyone to jump from stock to stock.
>>
>>1853876
look at it this way, with crypto you're competing against stoned pepes, with stocks you're competing with goldman bros. which group can you better beat in a game of financial wits?

>TAKING A %

Hey /biz/

I run my own Photography business, I am currently looking to outsource a service that I myself cannot provide.

I want to approach local providers of this specific service and make a deal where I can offer the service to my clients and then outsource it to this other service provider and take a % for myself.

So.. How much % should I be looking to take?? Thanks.

>>
15%
>>
>>1853884

Any reason as to why? I have been told 15% before but with no explanation.
>>
>>1853898
charge too low and youre missing out on money and getting used

Charge too high and theyre just going to go around you as a broker and take your clients anyway

15% is the point where you still make money and they go "eh fuck it not too bad"
