Thoughts biz? What's with people these days not leaving inheritances? They give the money to """""charities""""" thinking that they make a difference when they actually line the pockets of executives. I dont get the "make kids tougher" rationale I mean the kid will likely never be as rich or successful as the parent, and the parents don't seem to get that so they """""donate""""" the money where most of it gets wasted. Why not just leave the money and wealth and power for your own flesh and blood? Isn't that the genetic purpose of life? Have heirs which then bang 20 hotties and continues your bloodline?

I don't get it either. Don't you want your empire to live forever? Once you're dead, only the name remains.
>>
I think I get the principle. It's mostly rags-to-riches kind of guys who partly attribute their success to tenacity in the face of hardship - I guess they reason that they worked hard because they were poor, not despite being poor, and they want their kids to follow the same journey.

I don't believe that wealth necessarily breeds complacency though, not if you teach the kid right. I for one intend my kids to have better childhoods and more opportunities than I ever did. Isn't that the point?

Bit extreme to do that shit. I'd leave half to my children and half to charity

Currently studying math at a generic state school. My GPA isn't great (in the 2s), so unless I spend a little extra time fixing grades grad school is probably off the table. Am I fucked with just a bachelors in math?

U were fuck with any degree, my suggestion is go search up best coding bootcamps, look for one tgt gurantees a job, after 6 months the fact tht u have a degree should land u a job between 50k-90k depending on ur coding, also from thn after 2 uears of working u can get a job maling 90k-130k
>>

Those sound like huge memes that are too good to be true. And I feel like I'd be 100 times better off with a math degree and coding experience than just coding experience.

Fuck man.

Alot of people are expecting that there would be a real war on Korea soon.

Should I exchange my money into dollars? I would be totally fucked up if something really happens, and the unification going rapidly, because I am currently doing some Dropshipping and if Korea's currency fall down then I would be fucked up.

Should I exchange? I think I need to now.

Are you Korean?
I'm assuming yes but you didn't say.

You probably should reduce your exposure to the won, and also get the fuck out of Korea.

That's why he has to leave before he becomes a refugee.

is this the right way to open up settlement communications
8 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1947348
No.
>>
>>1947348
If you're actually interested in settling things out of court, don't start by being antagonistic, like you very clearly did in that email. In fact, most situations end better if you don't come at it as an adversary.

Hate begets hate, after all.
>>
>>1947348

Kinda.

Legal communications should never include emotions or personal info. it's only ammunition for your enemy.

Communications like these should include:

> your position
> your offer, and what you require in return
> your fact based reasoning as to why you believe the offer is fair

That's all folks.

Then you have to look at your case. If your case is strong and they are being a cunt, then fuck em, go to trial.

So eh, Siacoin has just jumped 50%.
I remember making a thread about it when it was 30 satoshi.
Its now 80.
This is the biggest player going for decentralized storage, its competitor is inferior by all standards.
Its development speed and dev commits are as high or higher than projects that are valued at 100+ million.
Its dev activity is on par with monero but without any real competition in the market it is going for.
It is only now being noticed.
In a month or two its gonna be worth 100+ million if not twice or three times that.
If you want big gains, invest now.

I'm considering buying an apartment unit as an investment. Doing some basic math in my head

buying a unit in SoCal here for around $200,000, with a loan that's like around $10k down payment with everything. $1500 a month, I can charge $2000 for rent, pocket $500 a month passively. Easy money right??

How does the whole process work? I know maintenance costs should be a factor. But seeing as how the demand for apartments is steadily rising, why not do it?

I used to work with a guy whos family were rich enough to buy like 18 new apartments in london cash to rent out. he said that when getting into something like this if you cant buy straight out then aim to pay off 20 percent straight off.
>>
>>1947321
why don't more of you fags do this rather than trading speculative anime coins
>>
>>1947335
yeah because people have tens of thousands of pounds lying around to match a 20% down payment.

Also what are some good ways to help save money? They never taught us how in school. Please enlighten me on not to be poor

If you get a job that pays your expenses, that money could last for decades

you need atleast 2 million $ to comfortable live off and retire

100.000$ would just make your wagecuck life a little easier

Let's see. Buy 1k car, rent for 400, box of rice costs $20 a month, buy eggs, chicken, produce junctions. Could be a decade or more really.

>The big three

With Q1 earnings coming up, what do you guys think of these semiconductor market leaders, and how they affect each other? Currently longing AMD/NVDA.

>AMD
Stellar track record for the past year, just got initiated into the S&P500 again. I think that they are now no longer a penny stock, and can't rely on good forecasts to raise stock price. Investors are going to care a lot more about their balance sheet, and AMD will have to start making a profit soon if they want to continue growth. Good news is that seems to be one of the things AMD is working hard on, and I feel that they have a very competent set of leaders. I think this next ER is going to depend on if AMD continues cleaning up its balance sheet, has a good Roadmap for future products, and has an EPS of -0.01+(this shouldn't be too hard for them)

>NVIDIA
good news is that NVIDIA has a very good product portfolio, is the computational graphics standard, and that market is growing. As more servers are using graphics processing to crunch data, NVIDIA will grow into the server market cap. A couple of problems arise from a large PE ~40 and Googles new deep learning TPU hardware. As long as NVIDIA focuses on machine learning I think they'll be fine.

>Intel
Don't know much about their position, but they have huge (above 90% I think) server processor marketshare. However there isn't too much more room for them to grow past the growth of their markets, and I feel like the business is stagnating a bit. I have very little insight here, so anyone with better knowledge should correct me.

How important is standard deviation in investing? Explain standard deviation without looking up the definition.
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>1947078
Standard deviation is simply how far a certain variable moves away from the average. It is used when determining the riskiness (the beta value) of a stock or similar financial instrument.

It is just an indicator and won't help you make mad gainz.
>>
its beta, so how much on average does it move away from the average.

its a number you see not really important dont pay attention to it

Why don't more people do this?

>Be me.
>Buy house, take out P&I mortgage with Bank A for $100,000 at 5% p.a. with unlimited redraw facility.
>Have a credit card with the Bank A, both accessible via online banking.
>Sign up for 10 x $10,000 balance transfer credit cards with other banks and credit unions.
>Receive the $100,000 in balance transfers into the Bank A CC account.
>Transfer $99,000 from the CC into the mortgage.
>Set up monthly transfers (redraws) from the mortgage to each of the 10 balance transfer cards.
>When each card's BT period ends (e.g. at 12 mths, 15 mths, 18 mths), transfer its remaining balance (e.g. $5,000) from the mortgage to the BT card and close the card.
>Rinse and repeat.
>Pay $0 interest on the CCs and pay fuck-all interest on the mortgage (whose principal is down around the $1,000 mark at the outset).
>…?
>Fucking MEGA PROFIT.

Aside from the matter of transferring 10 x $10,000 "credit card debt" that doesn't technically exist, what am I missing?

you cant pay mortgage debt off with a credit card. youd need to drip-withdraw from an ATM - transfer to bank acct and then pay off with debit card

also you wont get approved for 10x£10,000 credit cards at the one time or even within 5 years of taking the mortgage.

>anti fraud and money laundering

>you cant pay mortgage debt off with a credit card.
You can, it's just stupid. In my scenario, you would receive the funds from the other bank and then move those funds from the Bank A CC account into the Bank A mortgage, i.e. just moving funds between two linked accounts.

Not being an asshole. Its like buying some gurus ebook that literally says write and sale an ebook to make money online.

You dont even need to know what the fuck you are talking about as long as you can act like you do.

How much net worth / income do you need to be considered "upper class"? What is the hard line cutoff between middle and upper class and is it related to age in any way?
31 posts and 7 images submitted.
>>
>>1946752
there is no cutoff.

though if you're making more than $100k US or have assets worth more than $1 million you're probably at the point most people would consider upper class.
Depends on location more than age.
>>
Income is in NO WAY related to class, and there's nothing more pathetic than the nouveau riche working class who think that they're "upper class" because they cashed out on their landscaping business or whatever.

You remain the class you were born into forever. Also, most people in the western world know nobody who is truly upper class.

I knew one man who was genuinely upper class. His family had inherited a large tract of my country (which he missed out on due to not being the first son) following imperialist settlements centuries ago. He was broke and, not quite living in squalor, but was not visibly wealthy. He's still upper class though due to his family name.

At absolute best you can *maybe* progress from being working class to being part of the professional class, but even then you're unlikely to become successful in law etc without having connections.
>>
Is this b8?

There is no objective standard to be able to answer your question. The closest thing that I can think of is that you are an accredited investor at a net worth of $1 million (excluding primary residence) or an income of $200k per year.
