why do you use stock language when talking about cryptocurrencies? Short, sell off, hold. isn't the point of cryptocurrencies to use as the name says: as currencies? People here say they've "made" thousands of dollars on bitcoin but if you sell it all, you're back on dollars, when the point is to get away from dollars in the first place.
Bitcoin is suppose to be the boat you jump to from the sinking dollar, to speak about "selling" your bitcoin is to jump back on the sinking USS Dollar. Bitcoin will only be truly useful to have if the dollar completely dies, and you can exchange bitcoin for goods and services among people.
TL;DR stfu about "selling" bitcoin or how much you've "made." you're thinking of how much you've "made" in dollars like an idiot. stop thinking in dollars and think how much 1 Ƀ will be able to buy you in terms of goods and services after the fall of the dollar.

I am confused about 2fa. Lets say I lose my phone and I want to sign into bittrex, are my codes tied to my gmail account? Is the only way to get my code back to tell bittrex that I fucked up and show them identity proof?

disable it, then before re-enabling it it tells you a private key, you can also screen shot your key qr code.

So I started to lurk on /biz/ and search about crypto a long time ago, but only feel confident enough to throw money at last month(late I know), turned my initial investment of $1k into $4k but now I'm at the 2,5k mark due to recent bearish trend.
My question is, I have more $3k in fiat to put into my portofolio, but I have doubts regarding the current downtrend. Sure, crypto will recover like it always does, but I want to know how low it's probably gonna go so that I can buy not at the best time, but at least close to that.
I saw some articles saying that this downtrend will probably lead BTC to $2000/1800 before stopping. What do you guys think?

Anyone have trouble setting up 2 factor authentication on Bittrex? I added the Google Authenticator and scanned the QR code but for some reason the numbers I get from the authenticator always show up as invalid when I try to enable 2 factor authentication in Bittrex.
