Remember, Crypto is useful to other people. People living in more obviously corrupt countries would rather move their value immediately into something else. It's not only China. It is a fact that Crypto moves up when there is more economic uncertianty, much like gold. I also think this generation perfers Crypto to gold.

i've never seen a street shitter shilling buttcoins. that's why they're street shitters. do you get angry at the grocery store bagger for doing a terrible job bagging your groceries?
So why would Putin ditch crypto all of a sudden

I don't really give a shit what some "leader" does no matter what party or standing they have. I care about what the population is using.
In China the rich need a safeguard for their wealth not linked to the shitty stock market they have, so they choose crypto.
The poor who make tiny bit of disposable income, would rather gamble it, and since their stock system is nonsense they break the law and try to attain cryptocurrency. It makes more sense to gain enough wealth to change your life than to save pennies for nothing.
This is commonly to so many people of different countries in the mid and low level economic strata. I see crypto getting bigger in spite of it not being fully accessible yet.
