no you LGBTSJW, it's cold outside. collies need love
>>
prolly

You can, mean you should. You shouldn't shave a dog down unless it's a medical issue(surgery or mats that cannot be groomed out). Shaving is more trouble than it's worth and it damages their undercoat(which both keeps them warm and cool, so if you think your dog is too hot because her fur its not the case).

where can I get a hedgehog in Chattanooga TN?
12 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Look up breeders in your area. There are also some breeders that will ship them to you. Keep in mind that hedgehogs are expensive pets. I also wouldnt recommend pet stores (most pet stores dont sell them anyway) as animals from there are typically inbred and have tons of health issues.
>>
The Chattanooga choo choo doesn't bring any?
>>

they're are two breeders about an hour away from me. I don't mind driving that far but I wana know what to expect with owning a hedgehog aswell

ITT: Pet sitting stories.

>Pet sitting boyfriend's new iguana while he is at work
>Little guy is letting me pet him and pick him up
>Looks like he wants out of his cage
>Put him on lap and pet him
>Is going pretty well for a brief 60 seconds
>He has other plans of exploring
>Ends up whipping me with his tail when I try to put him back in cage
>Doesn't hurt but his claws are so sharp that he is unintentionally hurting me with them
>Think of those pictures of iguana bites on google images
>This is how I die
>Pic related

He's back in. He isnt angry, no head bobbing or anything. He just wanted to explore. He's taking a nap under his lamp now.

I do not know how to handle an iguana.

I have one. He is 12 now. Is the sweetest thing (especially compared to my heeler lol) and very smart and cute. Likes to tunnel through the pillows on the couch. Poor thing has had skin problems his whole life though.
>>

I have one, her name is Polar, she's around 10. She's kind of a bitch like figuratively speaking too. She gets super bossy and jealous and defensive over literally everything.

We also have a black lab that lives downstairs because he has an injured leg and cant walk up. He's around 11 and hes really chill so he gets bullied by her. Polar usually chills upstairs because it's her territory and evey once in a while she would go down and eat/drink off of the lab's bowls and play with his toys as she pleases and ofc growl and bork if the lab gets close.

Upstairs we have a Carin Terrier as well 9 years old or so who was raised with Polar as a pup and she treats him the same way. She would do this really annoying thing where when we give them each a treat, she wouldn't eat hers and just leave it lying around and guard it from afar so when the Carin terrier gets close to it, she would run up to him and give a warning bite and repeat it all over again.

She's friendly around people though, but if you just got home and have to pet everyone, she will snap at our other dogs until you give her all the affection she wants, if shes being petted and another doggo comes along, she will growl at them. It's like that teachers pet in class thats actually a piece of shit bully when the teachers not there.

We love her though

My dog just bit a Porcupine and now has many quills stuck in her mouth and around the snout area.
I dont want to have to bring it to the vets (600$) or put it down. I was wondering if any common drugs could be used to knock it out so I can handle this myself.

you jackass. looks like some kind of moth larva.

OP, where did it bite you? Do you feel dizzy or have a headache?
>>
The picture makes it look a bit like a cutworm, but you generally don't see them too ofteb unless you're turning over soil or sod.

About how long and wide was it? What was the landscape like where you tried to sleep?

Long story short I'm taking over care of my a guinea pig because it's owner doesn't treat it right, and I was wondering if anyone knew a good place online to buy cages and or cage parts because as of now it's living in a cage entirely too small, barley big enough for a Syrian Hamster. Also, I apparently need to get it another guinea of the same sex, but how would I go about getting them to be friendly? I've never owned one before, and would like some advice if anyone is willing.

I'm also in the US, so a lot of those good rodent online stores won't ship to me.

Yeah, didn't necessarily mean cage. Found a nice 30x55ish for about 70, but I'm wondering if I can find one cheaper

make a cage yourself out of interlocking wire cubes. Cheaper and you can make it look however you want

I've seen diatenaceous earth work wonders with flea eradication. thought it was snake oil (which in a lot of cases it it, don't trust anyone who tries to push it as a cure all or some other such nonsense) but as far as murdering small insects it's pretty great.
Totally non-toxic, too. it's just mineralized diatom shells, they rapidly dehydrate small bugs like fleas.

>>2154100
Diatomaceous*, even.

No, how was it? That picture looks really cool. I've only been the the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Monetary Bay aquarium, along with smaller local aquariums and Seaworld (if that even counts).
>>
yeah, seeing those all those whale sharks together in an aquarium is freaky. It was busy as fuck when I went, very nice aquarium, but I think I prefer the national aquarium.
>>
>>2153896

It was awesome I took a bunch of pictures I might post itt later, The whale sharks were fucking awesome, there are three in the biggest tank ive ever seen with blacktips, grouper the size of grown men, and a few huge Mantas and a bunch of tarpons wrasse etc

Am I the only person that doesn't flip the fuck out and lose my shit when a bee/wasp flies near me?
I can't even count the amount of times that I've been around different people that just break down and lose all signs of sanity at the first sight of one?
What's the fucking deal with that shit? I just roll my eyes when I see someone doing it now.
I literally don't react at all, and have never been stung once in my life.
28 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>2153203

Yeah I'm the same way. I've been stung but it didn't hurt so much that will I recoil in the presence of bees/wasps or even feel nervous. Flailing around isn't going to do you any good anyway and will probably just antagonize the bees/wasps more, make them more likely to sting you.
>>
>>2153205
I've noticed that black people are by far the worst offenders of this.
They will get in a car and fucking leave the area. I've seen it happen.
>>
It's like people's fear of snakes. They are scared of the bite. Not the pain of the bite. Just the physical attack. And let me tell you, it's nothing. Been bitten god knows how many times by snakes since I handle them regularly.

Bees and wasps are the same. It is literally just a quick sting. Unless you're allergic, it's no big deal. Stop making an ass out of yourself. I've only ever been stung once, when I was about 8. And I never run from them unless I happen upon a nest, then I give it a wide berth. There's nothing to be afraid of. Feel free to give wasps space (not so much bees, they're very chill), but don't worry too much about it.
