My cat is only nice to me when he's hungry

Free feeding isn't healthy
Cuz it's a cat

He's all better now, but he's still an idiot.

I'm a new, first time dog owner. I've had my dog for 9 months now. She just turned one years old. I got her when she was 3 months old.
She used to poop 2, 3 or sometimes even 4 times a day. I take her outside all the time, for play, for walking, so she can pee/poop. Lately though, she's gotten where she holds in her poop as long as she possibly can. She's been going once a day for about a week now.
She has to go badly, I can tell. I just stood outside with her for a little over an hour. Her butthole is literally opening like she's about to go, and I can see the brown poop inside, but then she closes her anus really quickly and appears to be sucking it back in.
Any idea what is causing this? This can't be good for her. Please help me, it's driving me crazy.
Google hasn't helped at all. All I can find is a bunch of people saying to stick matches up my dog's ass.
Pic is not my dog.

>Google hasn't helped at all. All I can find is a bunch of people saying to stick matches up my dog's ass.
This actually does stimulate your dog to poop. People use it to train a dog to shit on command.
man, you sure love to look at and watch your dogs butthole, whats wrong with you
>>2158537
Because that's where the poop comes from and I'm trying to get her to poop.
Are you supposed to be joking? This is a serious issue, I don't want my dog to be sick.
>has cat for 7 months now
>cat is called Chloe
>Chloe doesn't want to be pet
>Chloe doesn't want to be held
>Chloe only wants food and being played with
this stupid bitch Chloe would slowly walk in front of me, as if wanting to be pet but when I reach out to pet her, she would BITE me. I'm getting pretty fucking tired of Chloe's bullshit and I contemplate ignoring her altogether. I'll only feed and clean her litterbox but forget about showing her some love
How young was she taken away form her mother?
>>2158513
Guess she just doesn't like touching.
Deal with it.
you're bad at cats and don't know how to pet them even if they wanted you. make a thread because you're close to giving up on chloe? she gave up on your bitch ass 6 months ago. you're shit to her. put out the food and stay out of the way like a good little bitch. don't even look at me you dumb slut, you're useless.
Hey all. About a week ago my 2 month old kitten scratched me on my neck. The scratch was similar to the pic (like a ridge). I cleaned it with alcohol and water, and it was gone after a few days.
But 3 days ago my throat got swollen, its getting hard to swallow. Is it cat scratch fever? I don't think I have any other symptoms yet, but my throat has been getting more and more swollen, especially at night.
Also he scratches me on other places too, but only my throat is swollen. Should I be scared?

So I just watered my herbs and noticed these tiny insects floating in the water of my potted basil plant.
Anyone know what these are? Could they be immature aphids?

Looks like a huntsman spider to me
springtail?
>>2158359
That seems correct. Guess I've been overwatering my plant.
Hi guys! I already have a shih-tzu, but is not mine, is my mom's. So i want to get a dog for me, i taught of medium sized dogs, what are non-incestous breeds?
What i mean, is that some dogs like corgi, to become corgi, they have fucked sister, moms, grandma, to get the "100% pure race".
I was thinking about Akita, since it seems pure
>>2158216
Get a mongrel.
>>2158216
>to become corgi, they have fucked sister, moms, grandma, to get the "100% pure race".
That's just like my Chinese cartoons.
>>2158216
let me tell you about the pedigree of my akita. somewhere the uncle bred with the niece. that's how it is, especially with rare breeds.
Is the Russian domesticated fox a meme?
Depends on how you want to look at it. It's pretty much domesticated, but is it something to be a mainstream pet? Maybe not.
>>2158191
If it's domesticated, how come only a small number are made in a secret Russian lab?
>>2158197
I don't know, maybe no-one with ability to be a proper breeder or run a company has gotten interested. Quick Google gives a company called SibFox Inc.
>Unfortunately, the experiment is broke. Grant money is scarce in Russia, where economic crises hit in 1998 and again in 2008. Trut has resorted to selling some of the foxes into the exotic pet trade through SibFox Inc., a private company in Las Vegas. For $6,950, the U.S. distributor promises a tame four-month-old fox “delivered to your door in 90 days.”
>Is Sibfox.com a scam?
>Well, they're not a scam - they're just a very poorly run operation (in my opinion.) ... I mean, I think he really only has 2 breeding pairs, and although they are from the Russian experiment, they aren't getting any of the variety that is mentioned from the original experiment.
Who knows.
Hi /an/, I'm hoping you can help solve a cat mystery.
A couple of months ago, I brought a second cat, Charlie, into my home. He was found in a Walmart parking lot, and is a little over a year old. When I got him from the coworker who originally found him, he got all of his shots, and the vet said that he's in good health. At the beginning of this month, I took him to get neutered. No problems there, either.
My first cat, Ellie, is quite a bit older - about nine or ten. Not sure if that's relevant.
Here's the mystery: over the past few weeks, Charlie has taken to resting/sleeping next to the shared litter box in our bathroom. At first, he was lying down on the bathmat near the sink, but over time he got closer and closer until he's now lying directly next to the litter box in the closet, on top of the rubber litter mat. He does this regularly.
I tried researching this behavior online, but all I've been able to find is that cats sleeping IN their litter box can be a sign of stress. He's not in it, though, just near it.
I'm also not sure why he would feel stressed - he gets plenty of playtime and affection with me and my wife, and although he play-fights with Ellie, he's always the instigator and she never bothers him when he's relaxing. He has a cat tower by our window, and sits & sleeps there regularly as well, among other places. The litter box seems to be one of his most common resting spots now, though. None of his other behavior indicates stress or discontent as far as I can tell.
If anybody has any insight here, I'd be really appreciative; I'm not sure whether this behavior is something that I should be concerned about or not. Pic related - it's my little buddy. I'll check this thread in the morning.
Bump for knowledge
bump because he is a little cutie
but it doesn't sound like stress or something. did you try to change the litterbox' position? put it in another room. maybe he will follow the box or he lays on the same spot without the box.
Final bump before I let the thread die. Surely someone else has dealt with this before?
I found a spiderweb on the front porch and got a good pic of the guy. Anyone know what kind of spider this might be?

Southeast USA, if location helps
>>2158037
Been finding these around lately. Southern California area. I assume it's a brown widow. Beautiful color.
How do you deal with shit like this?
>joking about poisoning an old steak fed to a stray dog ~elementary school kids~
>chaining their dogs to a post and leaving them to starve while they leave for weeks. I rescue the dog and feed it and they steal it back; dog disappears (2nd time with them)
>two dogs chained to post, one a puppy. Puppy disappears after a few months. Other dog left in scorching heat with no water or shade every day, I give him water. escapes and shows up on my porch in the rain soaked and starving, I feed him. They come outside and fuck with the dog after I leave it alone.
I fucking hate people so damn much, and I hate even more that police won't do anything about it. Why is it that you can just chain an animal up and leave it there to rot? I live in the ghetto, if I don't hear gunshots then it's sickening "music". If they aren't twerking they're fighting. I hope we all die.
I can't be racist because I'm half black; can you guess where my father is? I'll guess with you.

As of now they're shining a flashlight into his eyes. A flashlight they used to track him down.
>>2157963
I don't like to ignore problems
>>2157956
I hope by "we" you mean the rabid pavement apes of the species you belong.
Also, what the fuck are you doing in a ghetto? You're at least 50% human and don't belong there.
I've got two questions to ask, but I'll start with this; In my dirt driveway we always get this massive puddle that we wade through. It's normally a hot spot for frogs, but now I found a baby snapping turtle in it. I haven't seen these guys around, and there aren't any egg shells. Should I just leave this little guy be, or help them out?
You could, and when he gets bigger, he'll leave on his own good time. Just make sure you don't drive through that puddle.
>>2157635
*You could leave him
Feed him little feeder fish it's cool as fuck to watch
ok so i got this kind of vivarium (picture)
and i was making some research on what snake should i get
the tank is quite tall so i need some kind of snake that will love some climbing and wont be to big when grown up
i was thinking corn snake
but if you have any suggestions on which i should get please let me know (alos post picture if posible )
>>2157389
too small for an adult corn snake. you'd need to buy a bigger viv in a few months
>>2157397
yeah im afraid that would be the case, maybe if i get a male?
>>2157401
No. Males just grow slower.
someone have a samoyed?
have had ?
have any tip to make mine more calm
its 3 months old
>>2157276
Do 30 minutes concentrated walking per day and increase this by 10 minutes each month he gets older.
When you get home ignore him until he is settled the pet him.
Cut the praise and baby talk out, calm it right down and speak normally.
Thats a good start and you should notice an improvement.
>>2157278
when i do stop adding 10 minutes
when he is 1 year old ?
>>2157276
It's three months old. You have a baby, he's not going to be calm.
You need to tire him out by play/mental stimulation- don't go pounding the streets on lead with him, there's absolutely no need for puppies and it's not brilliant for his joints- he'd get far more out of a good play session/training session with you.
However, once again- it's three months old, expect to have a hyper puppy around for at least a few years yet.
