I'm lost. Getting laid off next Friday for a job that pays $20 an hour.
I've been doing some job interviews in different fields.
I've now got 2 job offers in hand.
Job #1 is a job close to one I've done at a company before and is close by my house I bought but is only offering $16 an hour and has no ability for growth but offers a bonus structure. No weekends, pretty straight forward 8-5. I tried to counter-offer to ask for more money but got denied.
Job #2 offers $17.50, is at a slightly larger company that may indeed have some potential for growth but so far no word of bonuses. Commute would decimate my already shit-box car that I was planning on replacing BEFORE the layoff was announced.
I have only done about 5 interviews so far. These are 2 of the companies that have gotten back to me. One other one went another way, another hasn't even reached back after an interview.
I have a family to support, a house we bought recently to keep bills paid in. My company fucked me bad. They even got me training my replacement. I'm already embarrassed to say my wife makes more than me and its been like that for a long time.
I'm not sure what I should do. I've already been laid off once in my life, I never want to live off unemployment again.

Well....at 40 hrs a week job 2 paya an extra 60. But you have to factor in the commute; that's time and you said it would decimated your car, also no bonus that you know of. Job 1 has a bonus but no room for growth, also no weekends. You have to go by what you think is best. Are you looking to stay with these companies for the long haul if possible? Do you see these companies having a good future outlook? If you are looking for a career, job 2 sounds better, but you are sacrificing in the short term (kind of depends on how bad that commute is too). If you are hoping for maybe up to few years max with the company and are going to actively seeking another job or improving your skillset through training/education then go with job 1. Good luck OP. Also could try to find part time weekend work with job 1.

I am twenty and the the colleges are closing their application periods in two days.
I had been trying to figure out what I want to go to college or university for but I have no idea about any major at all. Most of my childhood I spent at the computer playing MMOs to make up for the fact that I wasn't really wanted by my peers, which was probably more my fault than not.
I live in Europe, and had been wanting a career that is in demand. It doesn't have to be demand here, but if it would be elsewhere I would have to get by with english.
As a person my main problem is that I'm restless. I'm easily distracted and often find myself walking around in my office job. Was diagnosed with ADHD in childhood so it might be it. My soft skills are not too great. Dealing with people often makes me anxious (though I can plow through it easily) so I probably wouldn't do too well with a job too focused on charisma. A positive thing I guess is that I was told according to some test my IQ was high, but I was performing just average in math anyways. I have a curious personality, however.
I don't mind driving to remote places at all and wouldn't mind living out of the city, I might as well prefer it. I like driving to places I haven't been before and vandwelling. Unfortunately that's about it.

So being 22 and a virgin I am looked down on, people see me as an immature child for it. The main biggest reason I still have it is because I honestly have never felt a connection with someone in my life. Only one time and its a girl whos crazy out of my league so I had to pass. About 3 girls said they liked me but I had no attraction to them. The more I start to think about it the more I am starting to feel like a loser in life. For example since I am new to all things emotional if I met a girl I would take it super slow, miss chances to make a move, and fuck up alot. Its bugging me that I didnt jump on the chance and just fuck the ugly meh girl but when I think of sex or anything I think its emotional and should be with someone you really like. I want to form a connection with a girl and make a life with her but I think being 22 and a virgin I cant.
Like at work there were two decently attractive girls they didnt like me but they were friendly and touchy, one literally grinded on me to show me how she does it in the club. After they found out I was a virgin they barely touch me at all, seem a little more distant and I can see the looks on their face that is looking down on me. Or like since im into nerdy anime shit but I dont actively show it and I would say something I get a "oh thats not surprising" or something like that. I started to look at myself in the mirror more and noticed I am actually the gamer generic type. Overweight ( not that much but still) Shitty posture, meh skin, meh teeth. im working on that but the fact im 22 and skipped and waited so long is fucking me up inside.

Now you just give it time and focus on other things. Moving on doesn't happen when you decide so, it happens when you aren't looking. Focus on friends, hobbies, responsibilities, anything that doesn't let you wallow in misery. Also, keep on mind that you don't have to look for anyone new, even if people around might push it, if they think it might help you bounce back. It's perfectly fine to take the time to recover and to build yourself back up from this.

Hey anons, I have always had this problem, although I live a happy life. I have been an introvert for as long as I can remember and I have a half brother, although when I was born he was 18, so I was like an only child. In school I always did well, stayed out of trouble, etc. and I think this is where the problem started from. I don't care about where it started from or why though. I only care about how I can stop this. I got into a few fights and I train boxing, but I never cry because of pain, the only times where I cry because of pain is when I get punched in the nose or eyes. I mostly cry about emotional stuff and because of stress/anxiety. I've learned to hide it through the years, but I want to stop it for good.
What do?
