Attraction fades fast. It all depends on what kind of person you are. Personally, I'd be bored with "emotionally attractive," or arbitrarily saying someone is "marriage material" because they check a bunch of boxes. More often than not, I feel like we call people marriage material that are boring, like there's some expectation that being boring and safe is ideal as we get older, as opposed to having someone who can share our outlook on life and keep things interesting.

I'm not a "safe" person, so I wouldn't want to marry someone that wanted to spend our days and nights in the house watching TV.

I think it comes down to lack of control. War or traumatizing events show you how little control you actually have so many overcompensate the other way in a futile attempt to prevent bad things from happening again. Personally, if I can't control something (messy partner, traffic, weather) I get irritated. If it's something important to me, I get outright pissed off. I am not sure how to fix other than ascribing to some numale Buddhist bullshit.

A lot of the time, PTSD in men manifests as anger because there aren't as many outlets for them. Guys are oftentimes considered weak or girly or whatever other bullshit term if they cry or "act traumatized". It's a redirection of the pain and the sorrow and the hopelessness and the fear. PTSD means that you no longer feel safe in a safe place, and depending on the person and the environment around them, this can manifest in many ways.

I think it's just the easiest way to let out the buildup of emotions? The trauma makes people have a flight or fight response.

My friend had PTSD since he was a child and he gets really violent. He doesn't want to take it out on other people so he keeps hitting things, his hand is permanently broken now and it just keeps getting worse

I would say to not put pressure on yourself to have an orgasm. Orgasms aren't how you prove you're sexually attracted to the guy. There are no rules, it's all up to people involved and what feels good. Generally though it's more acceptable to get your drinks at the same time. You can offer to pay, she might like that, but if she'd prefer to pay herself, then don't push it. Hug if you feel comfortable doing it. Don't just ask questions, also offer information about yourself. Tell anecdotes that relate to the topic you're discussing, remember what she says and build on from those topics, even if she doesn't ask specific questions reveal details similar to what she's revealed (I.e. If you talk about family and she tells about hers, then tell something about yours too, even if she doesn't ask). The point is to get to know each other. Both should leave the date having something of an understanding who the other is and what they value in life. If you have similar views, there will be other date. If you don't have much in common or if one of you fails to reveal the relevant info to form an opinion, there probably won't be another date.

I'd highly recommend getting books on body language and reading the book, "Models: Attracting women with honesty by Mark Manson. I try and read it every year for a refresher. It changed my life for the better.
