I'm trying to make a name for a region based on Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island that acts as Unova's Johto. At the moment I'm focusing on taking Massachusett's etymology and motto into account, and using Latin words like how it seems Unova was derived from unum and nova according to bulbapedo.
At the moment, I'm using the words montis, maritimas, multitudine, pacem and amare, poorly translated by Google into Latin from hill, coastal, abundance, peace and love, and the only region-y name I've thought of at the moment is Pacema, maybe adding an s or r at the end to make it slightly less shit.
How badly am I fucking this up, /vp/?

Why can't I use Baton Pass on my Zapdos and my Espeon?
The strategy was to Baton Pass Calm Mind to Zapdos and try to sweep, when Zapdos get weak then Baton Pass the special defense boost to Marowak so it's sturdier. Did I accidentally strike the most deadly strategy ever?

I have a question on buying a pokemon center plush off eBay, guy claims the sylveon's ears are normal but in his pictures they're bent back and not erect from the body like in the glamor shots. His explanation is that they don't stay up by themselves except in specific positions.
Is he telling the truth or would i be wasting $40 if i bought the plush?
