I understand that Pokemon has become so bloated that it's hard to make a new game and also balance it and make the world interesting. The only real solution, other than just continual budget and size bloat, is to have a universe reset. Start from scratch. Create 150 new Pokemon. Hell, set it on a different planet if you have to. Just do something, because Pokemon is dying a slow and painful death.

Probably because you went in there at a low level.
I went into it at lvl 50 my first time through it and it was pretty damn challenging. Second time I came back at lvl 80 and it was well silly how much easier it was.

I've tried playing this game several times, even heavily modded
It's just extremely repellent and boring

Anime fighters are more akin to Marvel in what they reward rather than Street Fighter and if you try to play with just SF fundamentals you will get destroyed by some guy knocking you down, putting a fireball on top of you and then mixing you up over and over

Six years of 3s experience here. Fighting games stagnate over time. Games like For Honor are using inherently good fighting game concepts in fresh ways. The 2D genre is falling off hard and the shit sales of all recent fighting games is proof of that. If anything we'll just see more Tekken spinoffs with popular IP's.

I wish I could recommend Nightmare difficulty because the motion tracker and flamethrower are more balanced. Sadly they ruin it with silly stuff like no hud.
