My wife and I just watched Logan's Run. I've seen it, sure, but she hadn't. Some time during the movie she proclaimed "I've seen this movie before" and I told her, yeah, a lot of movies cribbed from it and it isn't a particularly strange story anyway. Standard Hero's Journey, really.
But she blurts out "IT'S LIKE TIME MACHINE!" which yeah it's got some similar bits here and there, special-effects and such. But she doubled down and said that the people dying at 30 was exactly like Time Machine. Which it isn't.
Somehow in the discussion she starts saying "There were blue monsters. With orange leopard spots!" So I showed her a picture of the Morlocks and she shouted at me "NOT THAT, IT WAS THE OTHER ADAPTION OF TIME MACHINE!!!" So I know she isn't thinking of the 2002 remake, they were black/grey in that, and probably not the 1978 made-for-tv one and certainly not the 1960 one. She is very adamant, it exists.
Any ideas? What damned movie is she thinking of? Similar to Logan's Run or Time Machine, but featuring blue monster-men with orange spots. Does this ring any of your bells?
Don't know

Thanks anyway. She took her tablet into the other room and looked for a while, then came back upset that all the Morlocks she could google-image-search looked like the ones I showed her.
I even checked the Time Machine episode of Wishbone and they were grey monkey-men in that.
Also, not Avatar (blue aliens with light spots) and not Evolution (blue ape-monsters).

>go to watch movies
>just go back to rewatching episodes of the office or malcolm in the middle again
how do i break this habit, anybody else do this shit?
Wait what? So instead of watching the movie you downloaded, you watch TV shows? But why did you say you went to watch movies? Also what do you want to break out of? Wasting time watching TV and movies or just watching TV?
>>83001675
You have to break the habit of posting on /tv/ while ignoring the movie
I can't stop watching episodes of King of the HIll, The Office, and The Simpsons over and over.
What is the joke or scene you laughed hardest at of all movies or TV shows.
Usually it's hard to remember but you should be able to.
Mine was during the episode Springfield got gambling and
Mr Burns tells Smithers to hop in his model plane so they can fly back to the powerplant after Mr burns realized the casino is heartless compared to his nuclear plant and when Smithers begins to tell him hit's just a model plane Burns pulls a pistol and repeats " I said get in" in an irritated tone, cocking the pistol

i can't remember the actual scene, but it was while watching one of the police academy films for the first time as a small child. my younger brother and i completely lost it at some point. then our mother yelled at us because apparently we were laughing too hard. i sometimes wonder if that may be one of the reasons why i became depressed and avoided situations that could make me laugh/ be happy when i got older. fuck that bitch

Why is this never talked about here? Why didn't it stand the test of time? Snakes on a Plane was literally the first meme movie and saw unprecedented amounts of hype on the internet.
I remember seeing countless threads about Snakes on a Plane years ago on /b/, then it all fizzled into obscurity. "I've had it with these motherfuckin snakes on this motherfuckin plane!" was a huge meme back in the day. Why didn't it hold up /tv/? Also, what'd you guys think of this piece of shit meme movie.
It was the first forced meme born by shills. No one really cared so of course it didn't last. Just like how Trump is slowly fading into obscurity
>>83001485
Because it ended up being a piece of shit.
>>83001485
>I've had it with these monkey fighting snakes on this Monday to Friday plane
I remember somebody did a barbershop quartet theme song for it on Fark as part of a contest. It was quite impressive tbqh. I believe this image is from there as well
I actually saw it for the first time while on a plane. It had a few good jokes but otherwise it was shit. A nice footnote in meme history though.
