I remember somebody did a barbershop quartet theme song for it on Fark as part of a contest. It was quite impressive tbqh. I believe this image is from there as well

I actually saw it for the first time while on a plane. It had a few good jokes but otherwise it was shit. A nice footnote in meme history though.

The appeal of it was the ludicrous premise, but the finished product wasn't funny, it was just boring. It didn't even manage to be bad enough to be enjoyable for the kitsch value.

Because the final product was uninspired, lazy schlock without enough wit to merit its existence. It also lacked the over the top gore, nudity, sleaze, vulgarity, and general excess it needed to live up to the premise, inception, and genre it obviously wanted to belong in.

Furthermore, they wasted Sam Jackson. That's an eternal sin.
