its supposed to be mocking what you would see in a movie where a dad would be watching his child being born, with the stirring music and misty eyes, and perfect baby wrapped in a blanket, when in reality, a child being born is fucking gross, mommy shits herself, the baby comes out covered in mucus and is purple or red, and the the placenta falls out. vile as fuck.

so scott is showing both aspects of it, the corny movie childbirth scene AND the reality of how disgusting it actually is.
