what's a good system to use for a hotline miami like game?
When you approach an enemy, roll 1D6. On a 1-3, you describe how you kill the enemy, on a 4-6, the DM describes how the enemy kills your character.
>>54742332
With enough cocain and various hallucinogens, real life.
My group has thought about doing some sort of VICE SQUAD game, but never really could decide on a system so I'm also kind of curious. The best we could think of was GURPS, but our experiences with that system have all been shit
Underused weapons thread!
Swords, maces, axes, and bows are SO cliché. Discuss/post images of weapons weapons not normally used in fantasy
Chitin weapons do count.

What the fuck are those
Ok, What the fuck?!
GeeDubs just happens to reveal a dormant Eldar Goddess on Terra, wholesale naming her Gaia, having their Mary Sue Yvraine awaken her from some ancient slumber.
On Fucking Top of all of this, Gaia, as soon as she wakes up, takes one look around and decides to give Yvraine, Girlyman, Creed, Celestine magic powers based on the four basic elements, then to complete this insanity, she decides to take MOTHERFUCKING DOOMRIDER'S HEAD from the white scars, then purify and ressurect him as some kind of Eldar God Daemon Prince, gives HIM special powers, and then tells all five of them to go out to save the universe or some Shit.
WHAT THE FUCK. IT'S LIKE BL DECIDED TO MAKE CAPTAIN PLANET: 40k. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!

Ok, wait, wait, wait. I spent the last 12 hours sleeping before posting this, before that I hadn't slept in 72 hours. During the third day I'm pretty sure I looked up the Black Library site and that was on the front page or something. Now I'm checking the site and there is NOTHING.
Are you seriously telling me I hallucinated that bullshit?
Is deliberately spilling your drink onto an opponent a "mind game"?
Good way to get kicked out of a store or get your ass kicked in real life.
>>54741476
Even if it looks like an accident?
Mind games only work if you're playing with either
A: People with self control issues
B: Top-tier players who try to make detailed reads
There's a good chance that most people will never need to play mindgames at the level where you seriously consider spilling a drink on someone.
Good evening, Smar/tg/uys. My group and I ran out of steam playing D&D and decided to switch to Shadowrun. Thus far, we have a Adept Swedish Troll and a boring human technomancer. I have decided to play a magic user for a change. So far, I've decided that I'm a hippie from Boulder Colorado named Ronald Kevorka (Street name pending). I'm basing him off of Leo from That 70's show (or just Tommy Chong from RL I suppose). He's a burnout pothead and a sex addict. I was wondering if you guys had any other ideas for playing a wizard or had any tips on how to play/make one?

You've gone to the Metaplane of Ships, met The Mothership, and made a deal to become The Admiral by adopting her as your Mentor Spirit.

In my experience the strongest shadowrun wizard is skilled more towards summoning but doesn't waste resources on actually keeping them around but instead always makes sure to have a powerful combat spirit around when they don't need a different one. The summons are strong and incredibly hard to kill but there's the added benefit of still being able to put enough into spells to be a threat.
For stats the important bit is getting magic, willpower, and your secondary casting stat to one below max as pushing it to max costs too much.
For skills banishing and counterspelling matter the least, then binding and casting, and summoning should be high.
For knowledge skills you want spirits and magical theory high.
For qualities focused concentration and mentor spirit (if you can boost your combat spells and your combat spirit type do it) are good positive ones and any negative ones that you can live with work well.
You can largely ignore combat skill that aren't magic related and non-magic stats are largely up to you.

You fucking disgust me. ALWAYS take pistol up to 4.
Hi /tg/. Me and a friend saw this gun (white) in a model kit online, and we can't seem to figure out what it's called or what series it's from. We've been at this for about 40 minutes now And nothing has turned up. If you know what it is and the series it's from, I'd be greatly appreciated if you could tell us.

Are the Eldar conventionally attractive to humans?
Or are they disturbing space elves who hit uncanny valley for human eyes?
Lore-Eldar are alien and spooky, Marketing-Eldar are sexy elves.
>>54740519
They are considered beautiful, but unnaturally so, and often cause humans to be uncomfortable for that reason.
they're what happens when waifus become real and become 9 feet tall
it's the uncanny valley effect
What are some tropes you love seeing in your games or love to include as DM?
>Grizzled mercenary/veteran taking on one last quest
>Chronic loser/coward slowly overcoming his fear and ineptitude and growing into a capable adventurer. May or may not end in an heroic sacrifice
>Ruler who genuinely cares about his people and isn't a power hungry asshole
>>Gods that interract with people without arrogance or demanding worship.
Mundane Guy who is of authority & generally dislikes the party because they make his life hard even if they do good, coming in with the cavalry when the party needs it the most.
>>54740372
>The Royal Couple have a loving marriage
>Monster races re-imagined as foreign empires
>Agrarian communities that are normally hard-working but pleasant except for extraordinary disasters.
>NPCs are competent at their jobs
a mix of rpg and card game

All the dawn of war games, but I recommend that you play 2 with a friend to get a good experience.

Is living in the Tau Empire actually better for humans?
From my understanding of it it seems to be like this: while the bottom standard of living for the Tau is better than the Imperium (1984-esque flat vs. literal squalor in the bottom of a hive city), in the Imperium humans have more "freedom" to choose what they do and advance higher in society while in the Tau Empire they're permanently stuck as second-class citizens.
The future will hate you as much as it hates you. It is inevitable. Take a peasant from the Middle Ages, he would be horrified.
>>54740224
It's only better for the dregs. Anyone whose made it to PDF, Whiteshield, or standard IG level or higher will have the same life in either empire, with the rare high rankers like Gue'vesa Inquisitors or officers actually losing resources and prestige.
Only problem is, Tau rarely ever be taking in hive cattle and shit. When have you ever heard of the Tau Empire appropriating billions of humans at once? This is why you have memes about sterilization camps and population control. The Tau literally do not have the infrastructure to support mass human life, and their empire is already founded upon an astronomically impossible first and second sphere of expansion.
If you were a peaceful agri-world farmer or some shit, life doesn't even change at all to begin with. "Life with Tau is better" is a retarded meme. Anyone whose life would actually improve would never see the day come, or even make it there alive, and any who would benefit from a high station under the Tau regime would be locked down by the Ethereals and Fire Caste hierarchy and would have been better off ranking up in the Imperium.
