I suspect some of those factions we're going to see as neutral cards over time.

There's also mechanically room for two more factions with the way they've revealed Roles to work. And up to 14 if they add some kind of third axis later on besides keeper/seeker. But I think 9 might be the cap they'll ever add to the game to prevent it getting insanely unwieldy.

Apparently, blank dice exist to mark them with custom faces. How does that work?

Do people use pens or stickers?

Isn't it easy to set off the weighting, biasing the dice?

Usually wet/dry erase markers that I've seen, and if a die is made from a single plastic (which in the case of blank white it is) then it's a lot more evenly weighted than stuff like the Chessex Gemini series. You have salt tested your Gemini dice and written a spreadsheet so you know which are the most accurate and which to pull out when you want all high results right?

Sure. First off, go for 3rd edition, it is the best mechanics the game has had. Keep things simple to start off with, and just use the foes in the book itself since there isn't much material for 3E out yet.

Second, don't be too worried about the power of PC's. They're supposed to be strong, as Exalted is less about overcoming obstacles, as what you're going to do when they're overcome. Say you liberate a small city state. What now? Who's gonna govern it? You probably decimated part of their standing forces and possibly killed off their leadership. Are you just going to leave it to collapse, or are you in charge now?

4e did this in a way with the minion monster type.

The same way you handle them fighting any number of other enemies regardless of their strength. The rules scale linearly with the size of encounter.

You could split the lowest between physical form and non-physical form such as having Skeletons, Zombies, and Wights be the lowest for physical then something like Ghasts, Ghosts, Ghouls, Specters, Shadows, and Wraiths as being the lowest for non-physical form.

Then each type of undead could be "commanded" by a greater undead of that type. Zoms and Skeles could be then commanded by necromancers or similar. The non-physical ones could be commanded by banshees or similar.

You could also have other undead that *not* Arthas has risen or bound to the king like animals, beasts, etc..

It just depends on what you're including. Be sure put *not* Sindragosa in there for me.

Well...he doesn't really have any internal Mana so he would be in the same boat as the poster child for unbearable stupidity. He would be stronger than Emiya and probably just take all of the girls in the city at once so there would be none of this route stuff. I suppose it would be more interesting than any of the Emiya stuff but still less enjoyable than fate/zero.

A better setting would be if Waver reincarnated Alexander and the two of them went on a quest for world conquest, with Gilgamesh as the final boss.
