Are Dawn of War buildings Canon?
AFAIK Space Marines live in Castles with electricity and lightbulbs and Eldar do make shit with wraithbone.
>>54928063
Eldar do in fact make shit out of wraith bone and most imperial architecture does have decidedly historic and Gothic elements yes.
Those exact buildings? Maybe not.
>>54928063
Not especially, though Marines do have deployable buildings - pic related, drop-bastions, prefab structures

Needed a break from D&D 5e so I ordered Tunnels & Trolls - deluxe. What am I in for?
lol the main continent is a dog hahaha
>>54928125
With good reason?
>>54927914
Fun.
Any system where the standard attack spell is called "Take That, You Fiend" is off to a good start.
Used to be some great solo adventures available for it.
Just make sure you have plenty of d6 handy...
Is it me or elves are always better than halflings and gnomes?
Are the Kokiri from Legend of Zelda more like elves or halflings?
>>54930951
I'd argue closer either to Small-sized Elves or to non-annoying Forest Gnomes, personally.
>>54930951
They're a specific elf subset, the more fae type. Hylians are high elves. All the 'humans' are just regular elves. Link is referred to as human and hylian in a single game in at least two games.
In the near future humanity has begun to colonize the solar system. However even as we reach for the stars overpopulation and resource depletion back on earth drives international tensions to all time highs. Eventually the worst comes to pass and those living off-world can only watch as nukes fly, bioweapons are unleashed, and military AIs are unshackled.
Over the next decades as earth had effectively disappeared behind ash clouds and EM interference (no probes or ships returning) the off-world colonies struggle to survive all technology not related to survival stagnating.
However after about a century the clouds are clearing, garbled signals are detected and some of the old colonies are now stable enough to mount expeditions to the former cradle of humanity.
So /tg/ what factions have arisen after the fall of earth and what motivates them to return?
And more importantly who or what do they find?
Some basic contact and rescue missions would be a decent starting point.
>what do they find
craters and glass
Any anon has his/hers hands on the new upgrade deck or book to post some news on the upgrades?
help an anon out.

Recently I began running Curse of Strahd and I'd like to try something that I think would be cool for Strahd himself. I've always liked the idea of someone other than myself (and not at the table) in control of the bad guy. I suspect it would create tension in the players knowing that there is literally someone out there that wants them dead as well as add a degree of realism/fairness knowing that this someone isn't sitting in front of them watching their every move.
So what I would like to propose is for someone to be my Strahd. It would basically consist of a couple emails or IMs once every two weeks. I'd ask a friend to do it, but they're all in this game. This person would decide when to reveal Strahd to the players, or when and what enemies to send to torment them, and whatever other devious things you can come up with. He'd be the shadowy figure behind the scenes pulling all of the strings.
Any takers?

It's a nice idea.
A shame Curse of Strahd is a lackluster module that detracts greatly from what it's predecessors had in content and quality overall, coming off as a barebones adventure that lacks the variety and detail given to Strahd, Vampires, and the inhabitants of the dmeiplane of dread, whilst also returning many consistency errors not present since the very first adventure.

What's so bad about it?
I don't have any experience with the prior iterations. The book was clusterfucked at times, but mostly workable.

Evolution Game!
How to play:
• Open an image of a species in MS Paint, or your editor of choice
• Make one evolutionary change to that species
• Save as .PNG!
• Post your new species in the thread with a description of what evolution you've added and why
Notes:
• New evolutions either split off of an older creature or replace them: specify which
• Try to make your evolutions gradual and realistic
• Have fun
There are two living species on our world- the glub, a simple fish like creature which feeds on dead glubs and the second living species, algae, which coats the rocks on the bottom of the ocean.
The whole world is currently a shallow ocean with two small ice caps and deep untouched trenches on the oceanfloor.
Adult algae are covered in tiny hairs that are mildly irritating to glub.
Current ancestry tree
All land is currently submerged at least a meter under the water.
of all the modern and sci-fi systems you know, which one has the best rules for playing as the shooter enemy staple of "beefy guy in riot armor waddling toward you with a giant gun"? Bonus points if it's actually viable as a character and not just a crippling gimmick.
Traveller, get a few million credits, go to some low law level/high tech level world, purchase black/grey market military hardware.
Strap into your battle dress, arm your PGMP, (or FGMP if you don't care if it fills the vicinity with lethal radiation) and stomp bitches with your big ass anti-vehicle gun while you laugh at their puny bullets.
Just watch out for rocket launchers and stuff, though, and be aware you're basically wearing a tank and most governments will not be cool with you just walking around and going to bars in that thing.
Pic related, some local planetary forces up against an Imperial Marine in battle dress.

Does this art predate Halo? Because if it does, horree sheet
>>54927784
Yeah, I believe it's from Megatraveller, which would be about 1986-1991 or so. Traveller was very popular back in the 80s, so it wouldn't surprise me if some Bungee guys played it.
Would your current character like Ozen?
Perhaps, she's the worst sort of omnivorous.
I don't know, I don't read weebshit.
>>54924840
She's pretty much a 4chan user but instead of a internet connection, she has omni tools
Hero, your amount of stats for those characters is low. You've got any statblocks or tips?
>>54924083
Interesting fact, as far as I can tell, your skill at fishing, and the fish you catch, are directly proportionate to your physique.
Greetings fellow Guard players!
Mayhaps one know where a fellow can get his hands upon the rules for his Divine Majesties Imperial Guard, his ever watchful Inquisition, the maidens of the Sisters of Silence and the angle Celestine without spending vast sums of currency on bolter porn books?
One hath searched but ones googlefu has not availed.
Bumping for fellow Ruperts?
is it possible to remove/destroy magic in the forgotten realms? like permanently erasing the weave and not just shutting it down like it has been before. exterminating magical races, items, locations, and beings including gods.
what level of power is required to do this? and who would try and stop you?
>>54921961
Better question:
WHY STOP IT?!
The weave is a fucking string attaching every sentient being to some fuckacted cosmic power that controls it
The ONLY logical thing would be to destroy it!
>>54921961
well it almost did get destroyed, everyone was lucky that it only got "shut down"

Hey /tg/ been getting back in to W40k and have been loving it. But I feel a little lacking lore wise. Can anyone recommend me a chronological list of novels to read to improve my lore and understanding? All factions welcome, I just really love the universe and want to know more.
This is how I barbarian.
