in this thread we take our little world of Mentosti's through a journey. the objective here is to build unique stories over time by gradually adding details.

there are 4 pre-made races for those who don't have the imagination to make there own (or just can't be bothered) however feel free to introduce new races. Try not to make things to ridiculous,I'm going to be fairly liberal with whats made cannon and what isn't, but if something makes virtually no sense or breaks the aesthetic of the thread then it will be de-canonised.

the Lampkins are an intelligent, reclusive race. Un-rivaled in the school of magic, the Lantern kind have a tall incredibly slender body made of a wood like material, and a head (as the name suggests) resembling a gas lamp. physically weak they often live alone, however they are not anti-social. when they do meat they communicate via the flickering of there gas light, similar to Morse code

Crovine small antlered beasts with Black hides, with Rigid arms similar to the legs of a bird and Deer like hoofs. they are covered and Black shiney feathers.

not particularly magically skilled, they can still cast a spell or too. they are not too physically strong either. they are however rather smart for there size

You are the former United States Navy warship USS HOEL, now returned as a shipgirl and ready to kick Abyssal ass!

Having a new addition to your little datalink club was a pretty welcome change, you have to admit. Woel at least provided a nice confidant in talking about things that you knew would make Anna uncomfortable, and just plain inappropriate for Paz.

Plus, she was a WAY better source of conversation than the rest of the USN's non-shipgirl equipment. The machine language the Burkes, Ticos, and Nimitizes kept spitting out was almost damn near alien to you, and you didn't even want to get started about the fucking "smart" weapons they liked using. Fuckin' missiles just kept droning on and on and ON about the same fucking thing 24/7.

Anyways, today was the big the day. Your very first foray into the dreaded Abyssal Dark Zone. From what you've seen from San Fran, you were probably in for a bad time.

You still had a little bit of time to try and calm your nerves, though.

Smoke drifts out from the window of your tiny office before your cigarette is put out. The city of Nowhere, a quiet place whose peace you intend preserve. Or, that’s what they say about you anyway.

Truth is, you’re in it for the thrills. After all, why else would you turn down twice an executive position and a pay rise?

The answer, simply put, is the number of dead bodies you get to see drops.

Not that you're into that sort of thing.

You are Prince Meirion auk Gwyrren, the only sane man in a royal family with dubious concepts of strategy, justice, taxation, and governance in general. You have made it your goal in life to keep your family on the throne and your head firmly attached to your body.

===============

You return to Degfford without much fanfare, preferring instead to return home so you can deliver gifts bought at the capital.

"Welcome back, your highness." Seren greets you as soon as you're through the door. "Are you happy to see your father again, Anwen?"

Anwen is wearing a red dress with a floral pattern and a matching crown of flowers. She looks at you with big, bright eyes and giggles. You take it as a "yes."

"It's good you're back," Esyllt says. She's doing paperwork at the kitchen table with Rhian on her lap. "Things have been dull here recently."

"That just means the city's safe," Delyth says. Her bump has gotten noticeably bigger since you left, but she shouldn't be do for several more months.

"I'll enjoy it while I can." Olwen shuffles past you to hug Seren and Esyllt. "Things were such a mess in the capital."

"It was quite fun though." Eleri enters and goes in for her own round of hugs.

"I can see that." Seren looks at Eleri's bump and smiles. "Congratulations."

"We should catch up on what we missed while we were gone," Reagan says. "Or maybe plan for our trip to Olstren?"

That leaves Myrddin carrying Rhein and Aislin, who are both pulling at his cheeks. His face is the face of misery.

This quest takes place in a hyper-simplified version of the DC Universe, where all your favorite iconic heroes, villains, vigilantes and vagabonds reside. Because of the incredibly complex nature of DC’s existing collective Intellectual Properties, this universe is a neutral, baseline interpretation. This means explicit redundancies, clone characters and multiverse shenanigans will be removed almost altogether.

You will be playing as Rick Regal, a 16 year old high school sophomore who has moved to Central City with his father after his choosing to relocate for work. Rick’s path down the road to heroism, villainous conquest or burger flipping normiedom is entirely up to you.

>Rules

You will be given prompts to vote over Rick’s actions and decisions in order to influence his path, and particularly challenging actions will require dice rolls and a collective mental capacity superior to that of a rock. Write-Ins are allowed and encouraged, but I am not obligated to use them.

Voting lasts until 10 minutes after initial prompting. Whatever gets the most votes goes forward. After rolls are prompted, only the first three will be counted.

>Dice
1d100, Difficulty Checks intentionally obscured.

No successes results in failure, one success results in a minor positive outcome, two successes result in a major positive outcome, and three successes make you feel warm and fuzzy inside. There are no critical successes, but critical failures result in a removal of a success.

Founded in 6083 AD, by Jonathan Hedgewick Starlight Academy became the first military school to accept all races as long as they are members of the the USSC. It's still the only military school located in the outer-rim. Starlight offers top notch traditional learning and hi-tech bio-memory rewrite learning. At Starlight academy we produce only the finest graduates that are ready to join life in the dangerous and vast universe we all call home.

--hello in this quest you'll play as a new student in starlight academy. Posts from me might take a while as i do crappy drawings to go with my posts.

Lets start this off by choosing how you ended up here at starlight.

+Your a war orphan being sent here to keep you out of government housing. this background makes you have trouble handling stress but your good in a close combat fight.

+The child of a wealthy family. You'll do better when studying and have starting cash, but your physically weaker.

+The son of a general. You already have some combat training and good leadership skills. But you are awkward to talk to and have trouble making friends.

Your father is proud to see you off as you go to join the very school that made him the man he is today.

Once inside the huge main building of the school your directed to the registration desk. The person running the desk is a lazixie. Having no mouth it speaks to you using its psionic telepathy. "Sign here." It says handing you a tablet.

Once you've signed it hand you a tablet of your own and an ID card. "That tablet will be used through out school its also a communication device. Your ID card is used to move through the school as well as way to pay for things. Have a nice day Alex."

And with that your free. You have time before night comes you could go to your room and meet your room mate right away or explore the school.

You're a Duros. Being a Duros, you love stories. You love telling them, you love hearing them, and you'd probably love being in one too, so here you are, with your very own story. Incidentally, you're also an aspiring smuggler. All smugglers have ships, and you don't - which is why you're aspiring.

It begins, as all good stories do, in a cantina. This cantina in particular is called the Sarlaac Pit, and despite the name, it's clean and welcoming. Serving droids wait on your every need, and on account of the large blasters strapped to each of them, they ensure all the usual cantina brawls are taken outside, too. You order a drink of the local flavour from the bartender, a leathery looking Weequay who everyone calls Wrinkles. You don't think that's his real name. You're a regular in here, sort of like a local hero, you'd imagine. Wrinkles welcomes you with the usual contempt.

"For the third time today, nobody has any jobs for no grounded smuggler, no crews are looking for a captain-" You open your mouth to speak, and the Weequay continues his tirade in broken Huttese. "-And no! We don't serve blue milk!" He turns around, grimacing. You tap him on the shoulder insistently, but an overly polite protocol droid ushers you out the door before you can get a word in edgewise.

Nobody likes you, and they don't like you because you don't have a ship.

Without realizing it, you end up at the docking bay, greeted by yet another familiar face. It's the local maintenance drone, who the Hutts pay to double as a very incompetent security sentry. Luckily, the half-blind Sullustan doesn't recognize you. After all, you don't have any business being here.

"Is that you, 58?"

He seems to have mistaken you for his maintenance droid, which is currently being pulled apart by some very eager scavengers.

>A. Try to bluff that you're his droid
>B. Allow him a good look at you, so he might recognize you
>C. Try to slip past him unnoticed
>D. Chase the scavengers away, in an effort to save the droid

"Of course it's me" You reply, somewhat unassuredly. Luckily, he's already assumed you are and gone back to whatever it was he was doing. As he tackles some unknown machine with a hydrospanner, you walk past him into the space port docking bays. The smell of Tibana gas fills the air around you, and you can't help but smile as you check the ship manifest.

Lots of Corellian models in today. With the recent seizing of the Kuat shipyards, Corellia is the only system putting out civilian ships not going to the galactic war effort against the rebellion. Looks like there's only 3 ships available to snoop at.

>A. Go to docking bay A with the YT-2400, a newer Corellian model. You've heard of this one, it's the talk of the Sarlaac Pit. Apparently a very nice ship.
>B. Go to docking bay C, with the YT-2000, this ship has been here for ages and a day. The owner has probably forgotten about it.
>D. Go to docking bay D, with the XS - an ancient model. You've only read about these.

OCCUPIED SYVLIA, 2812 AD

Under the rule of a dictator who crowned himself Emperor, the Anurians, only recently caught in a devastating have united and begun expanding, claiming land for their new Empire.

The Emperor of the Anurians, Drexel the First, is uncontested master of the 4th Galactic Quadrant and his puppet Qadash Aadhya sits on the throne of the Kingdom of Faerlyn.

The Principality of Sylvia, bordering Faerlyn, is being invaded by the combined forces of the Anurians and the Faerlyns and calls for aid from the Greater Galactic Commonwealth.

Seeing as their buffer states have been falling one by one to the Anurian advance, the unprepared Commonwealth has no choice but to bring what it has to bear and intervene on the behalf of the Principality.

Now the Commonwealth forces under the command of General Gallagher rest at the border system of Kraledo before advancing into enemy space.

Red = Commonwealth
Light Blue = Sylvia
Purple = Faerlyn
Blue = Anuria
Yellow = Kingdom of Vrobia
Orange = The Vevarian Principalities
Gray = The Sloyes Empire

Pic related is a more detailed map of Sylvia. The red portions of this represent enemy held space and correspond the the purple and dark blue parts of the map above.

>[x] Identify yourself and get to business

While you would love to mess around and spook the man who just fired off a warning shot, there was a war to fight and you needed to get down to business as soon as possible.

"Captain James Gardner, the man stuck commanding your sorry asses!" you shout back "And your Lieutenant as well!"

The man leans forward to get a better view of you and Flemming. Realizing his mistake, he quickly clambered down from the barn roof and ran to the fence to unlock it for you.

Now that he was closer, you could see more of the rather tall man's features. He was darker skinned and rather tall but on the thin side if you were honest. He had a 5-o'clock shadow and his face and hands were dirty, as if he had been doing some physical labor recently.

He quickly got the fence opened and stepped aside to allow you and Flemming to enter. You considered breaking his balls a little for shooting first (at his superior no less) and asking questions later but decided not to. You were at war here and there were more important things to do.

The sharp intake of breath you heard coming from Flemming's direction indicated that he thought otherwise. Before he could open his mouth, you held your hand out.

"There are more important things to do than yelling at an over vigilant watchman Lieutenant," you said.

Surprisingly, Flemming headed your words. Perhaps he was simply too tired from the march to bother arguing with you.

"Now who might you be?" you ask the soldier.

"Rifleman Miles Lee, sir!" the soldier says.

Well now you have a name to a face.

"Well Rifleman Lee, I could have you punished for your reckless action earlier, but I realize we are fighting a war right now, all our sensors are down and we don't know if the enemy has landed forces on this planet from right under our noses," you say trying to calm him down, seeing how nervous he was "so I'll let this slide this one time. Please be less reckless next time."

"Yes sir, thank you!" Lee says saluting.

"Oh come on now, none of that," you say "I'm a common man, same as you."

Once again, Lee seems embarrassed by his mess up.

"Gardner, while you are a commoner, a certain decorum is expected from an officer, do not become so familiar with the ranks," Flemming pipes up.

You sigh. It seems Flemming has found his voice once again.

"I'll keep it in mind," you say "Now let's meet the rest of this sorry excuse for a company. Could you take us there?"

"Yes sir," Lee says "Follow me."

Lee walks off and you and Flemming follow. Lee leads you to the farmhouse. As you approach it, you hear some yelling from within.

"Anything we should be concerned about?" you ask.

"Ah it's probably nothing," Lee says with resignation.

It mustn't be the first time this has happened. You reach the door and Lee opens it for you. What greets you is a strange sight.

"That rabbit is mine, fair and square little girl!" a burly man who is more hair than person bellows.

"Finders keepers!" a younger voice says.

You look around for the source but have no luck finding it. You lower your line of sight, being clued in by the man mentioning a little girl. Right near your feet is what you assume is the little girl. Dressed in overalls and a flannel shirt, the only hint that the child is female are the girlish pig tails. In her hands, a rabbit leg. Judging from her sticky face and a rabbit leg you see already thrown away, you assume she already ate the other leg.

To the side, you see the other two people in your "company" cheering them on and judging from the money they were holding, likely betting on the outcome of this showdown. One was freckled with short hair, likely even younger than Flemming. The other was the striking image of what you thought of when you pictured an absentminded professor.

"The only thing you'll be finding is a long and unpleasant time out young lady!" the bearlike man said before diving at the girl.

She jumped away with unnatural grace. Now that you look at her longer, you notice that her face is off from a normal human's. The eyes a bit too big, the ears longer, the features longer and more angular. Is she perhaps one of the Sylvians you were here to fight for?

Well you could ponder that later because at the moment, you have a massive man currently heading straight towards you with no way to stop himself with the momentum he had built up.

He bowls right into you and both of you end up outside outside on the dusty ground. The wind is knocked out of your lungs by the large man.

"Oh, what's this then?" the large man says noticing you under him.

He quickly gets up and helps you to your feet, futilely dusting off your uniform.

"Ah well, it would have gotten dirty in the field anyway," he said after seeing that his massive hands were doing a better job knocking the wind out of you than cleaning your uniform.

"Now who might ye be?" he asks.

Flemming stares horrified at this lack of professionalism and the audacity of these mere rank and file soldiers to be so familiar with their commanding officer.

It had been 10 years since they took control of the media. It had been 10 years since the brainwashing started. It had been 10 years since the world went to shit.

Civilization as you knew it crumbled. Not even the entirety of 4chan could resist their might. Crazed idiots forced us to accept others with "disabilities" and "issues". The rules of the internet were slowly being forgotten and abandoned, leading ever so slowly to our demise.

Large, thriving communities you once knew here are now just small gangs cooperating just to survive the many threats unleashed. You just so happen to be trying to suppress one right now. The "Furries", as they want to be known as, are the pets of the higher ups. As cute as they claim to be, genetic engineering and classic surgery scarred their forms. Not even PETA would consider them animals. The /fit/, /wsr/, and /k/ gangs are currently doing everything they can to slaughter these "kitsunes".

Speaking of gangs, which one are you from?

The guy next to you snores lightly, how he manages to sleep with these burning lights above you is a mystery. You lean back and think about how jail time gives you a rare opportunity to reflect. The Authority is a group of 'heroes' who handle crime deemed too dangerous for the normal police, in a way it's an honor to have them dropped on you. >Pass through the empty chamber to the large room
You enter the CUBICAL CHAMBER of bare red rock. You stride as confidently as one may stride without any legs to speak of, but before you can reach the doorway, it slams shut before you!
With a loud crack, strange circular SIGILS flare to life on the walls. Black CHAINS shoot out from their centers and shackle you in place. You are TRAPPED!
You struggle with the chains as they start to pull on you in different directions. However, there is no escape. The strain threatens to rip you apart.
Just when you think you're going to give in, the pull stops. The SIGILS seem to hesitate for a moment, as if they were THINKING THINGS OVER. Then, with a clang the chains release you and fall to the floor. The sigils disappear and the door opens back up.
...Whatever that was, it was a close shave. You may or may not have nearly died due to a GLITCH.

>Enter library
Now free from your chains, you enter the LARGE ROOM.
You only saw a few bookshelves from the other side of the building but damn, this place is STACKED. Shelves line all four walls of the room, stretching to the ceiling and threatening to collapse under the vast amount of BOOKS heaped onto them. Further piles of READING MATERIAL are scattered on the floor and on the TABLE in the middle of the room. There is an additional half-assembled shelf lying prone in one corner.
...Whoever lives here is without a doubt a MASSIVE FUCKING NERD.

>Inspect shelves
Upon more rigorous examination of the bookshelves, it seems like the question of "what does this person read" should be replaced with "what doesn't he read". You see Russian Classics, scientific journals, sorcery handbooks, manga collections, and a lot of very threatening-looking GRIMOIRES that sometimes seem to whisper when you turn your back. While there are plenty of titles that you recognize, about 70% of the books are completely unknown to you and don't seem like they were published on Earth either. You carefully put down the signed and dedicated copy of "The Joys of Flaying" by Shkabolax the Skintaker.
You might as well snoop around this netherworldly nerd's book collection a bit more.

>Read a grimoire
You aren't sure if that will be very advantageous to your health, as neither grimoire seems particularly BENIGN. However, after a bit of searching, you find a heavy leatherbound tome that seems relatively harmless.

Hello and welcome back to Demon Overlord Quest!

Last time, Lady Gneotho, Overlord-in-training, made roads in with Rosen Queen Company to set them up with a permanent facility within her Netherworld: Potential X after first making some purchases. Along with that, Gneotho visited with former-general and all around milf Weth. There she confirmed plans to raise funds to Potential X by raiding another nearby Netherworld as well as the Item World of something she owned. Afterwards, she stumbled upon her ally, Kain and her childhood friend, Graviel. The latter of the two beseeched the Overlord to keep an eye out for clues on the whereabouts of her missing child. To which, Gneotho promised to do her best.

You are Lady Gneotho, Overlord-in-Training. You walk down one of your many staircases into the lower floors beneath the Main Hall. You are not just wandering around, however. You are here for the purpose of finding two of your demon allies. You find the Armor Knight, Dan (or Danielle as you are wont to call her) and Perciel, son of the late-Overlord before you, chatting. Staying back, you eavesdrop on their conversation.

"Are you really going to stick around with Lady Gneotho?" The obsessive Dan interrogates. "You aren't planning on trying to dethrone her, are you?"

Perciel steps back, motioning with his hands for her to relax. "W-What?! NO! That kind of leadership is far too much pressure! I have a hard time dealing with managing guard schedules. I don't think I could even hope to do what my father did or Lady Gneotho could do!" Dan relaxes herself a bit, her eyes still narrowed in suspicion.

"I'll believe you for now. But don't think you can woo my Lady just because of your fair features. She has much more refined tastes than that!" Dan folds her arms and turns confidently away from Perciel.

"W-what's that supposed to mean?!" He exclaims in confusion.

Now now Dan don't be so harsh on Percy. I will admit he is very fair but I think you are too.

The Mayhem came and went. What was it? Who knows. What caused it? Who cares! The city still stands, and while the working smog is replaced by brown dust and the stench of decay, humanity persists.

After the Mayhem, half the population got killed in the rioting, while the other half got up and left when they realized the more prominent taxpaying citizens couldn't cough up the funds to help support their lifestyles in the big bad boroughs. Decades later, lowlife scum crawl back to the rotting corpse of glass and metal. Druggies, squatters, drifters, goons. Thugs.

You are the leader of one of four gangs in the City. While many goons are scattered here and there, you are one of the few who have the long lost knowledge of piloting vehicles. Your goal: To become the Underboss of the City.

Choose a gang! Each gang has a particular fleet of vehicle(s), a special base, and 15 members. You also can choose to start with an arsenal of pistols (2 point, 15 mag cap), shotguns (5 points, 4 mag cap), and hunting rifles (10 points, 15 mag cap), by spending 30 points. All guns are full with no extra magazines.

So is this like a builder or is this a quest and those points are to start out with?

BOAT GANG:
> Base: The boat gang locks up in an old luxury yacht, way out beyond the shore. It provides a great barrier since many don't know how to swim or use a boat.
> Vehicles: You start with 5 speedboats and your base yacht. Usually, you like to send the speedboats to raid places near the river. There are many riverdocks up and down the canals, so you're never short of places to loot.
> Special Items: Scuba Gear (5)

AIR GANG:
> Base: Your gang is lucky to have blasted off the bottom floors so that its near impossible to ascend your tower from the ground floor. You have access from the helipad down to the 33rd floor, but you don't need to use 17 floors with only 15 people.
> Vehicles: You start with one helicopter. Everyone in your gang knows how to operate it. Finding fuel is essential to maintain your air superiority. You like to use your helicopter to scout out nearby building rooftops, equally as high. It is also hard to conceal whenever you go out to scavenge.
> Special Items: 1 Sniper (10 mag cap)

TRUCK GANG:
> Base: Truck gang operates out of a fire house, ironic for its notorious reputation of arson. The firehouse has a generous amount of garage space as well as lot space, where you have stacked burnt out cars to form a makeshift barrier.
> Vehicles: You start with 2 firetrucks. You know each district has at least one firehouse, so you dream of building up your fleet once you take them over. Both trucks are heavily reinforced, and basically act like tanks.
> Special Items: Gas Cans (10) and a Lighter

DIRTBIKE GANG:
> Base: The dirtbike gang is based in an old park, brown from years of disuse and damage. A makeshift fort has been constructed here from metals, plastics, and dead vehicles, and all of your gang lives inside the walls in trailers. There is also a small vegetable garden.
> Vehicles: You start with a fleet of 15 dirtbikes. Every gangmember has a bike. Two pickup trucks are also available, but they has been used to tow in the trailers.
> Special Items: Aluminum Bats (15)

Rules:
> You can use your members to complete multiple actions per day.
> Actions Include: Exploring, Scavenging, Building, Warring, etc.
> Assign appropriate number of members per action to strengthen or improve effectiveness
> Dice system for some actions. Modifiers applied appropriately.
> OOC many players can choose to join a gang and RP as gangsters, but they must decide collectively on the actions (vote, alternate turns, compromise, etc)
> Food-most scavenge for food, except for the dirtbikes who grow food. Start with 100 food and 100 water, one is consumed per member per day. Dirtbike food grows every 4 weeks.

Map attached for reference. The city will update as you move to claim territory. We will begin when every gang is claimed.

Claiming air gang.

The Axalon, a Maximal exploration starship, and its crew had their orders. Pursue and apprehend the Predicon starship Darksyde and its crew after they stole the Golden Disk. Things went wrong as both ships blasted through time. Coming upon a mysterious planet, the commander of the Axalon jettisoned the numerous remaining stasis pods before crash landing on the planets surface.

After an undetermined amount of time your stasis pod finally drifted into the planets orbit and began its descent to the surface.

Your stasis pod veers toward a planes area of the world and crash lands on the bank of a small lake. The surrounding area is predominantly some small forest areas, grassland planes, and the lake. The Stasis pod activates, bringing your protoform to life. The pods systems flashed to life and began their scan for a suitable lifeform for you to copy.

>The Intro
Hey y'all. If you couldn't tell, this quest will be taking place in the well known DC Comics universe. Here there be gods and monsters, magicians and aliens, and even a clown or two. But bear in mind that due to various time travel related and or multiversal shenanigans, the DC world is ridiculously complex as a whole. So I'll be running a very streamlined version of it. And to be up front about it, it will likely be shaped by my own likes, dislikes, and biases.
Oh, and aforementioned shenanigans won't be making an appearance.
Mostly.

>The Rules
I will write up the life of our young hero Morgan Barret, a high school student who has just left his home of 16 years tp move to Gotham City, and you will be given prompts to direct him.
Some things will require a dice roll to determine successs or failure or something else entirely. Write In's are absolutely encouraged but I reserve the right to torpedo anything.

The voting period will last 15 minutes after the prompts are given. I will then announce the voting closed and write up the chosen response.

>The Dice
We will be using 1d100 ninety percent of the time here. Best of three. We might use something else when applicable. I'll be running with a loose sort of degrees of success/failure thing here so no real DCs.

Life changes in a hurry. Just a couple of days ago you were Morgan Barret, passable high school student and general point of disinterest. And now? Well, you're still Morgan Barret. And you're still a just a passable high school student. But now you think you need to start adding vigilante to the list of your descriptors. By chance, you stumbled upon a plan by supervillain Anarky in Gotham City to attack the Gotham Knights Stadium during a huge game between the Knight and the Metropolis Meteors. The real kicker is his weapon of choice. Something called Fear Toxin that the Batman told you is capable of making you experience your worst fears in ways that make all victims violently panic until they are stopped or cured.

You met Robin, Batman's partner/protege when you went against the Bat's orders and followed the trail you picked up to the meeting place and secret base of Anarky's men. Some dump of a chinese joint called Mr'Lung's. He saved your ass when you got caught by a bad mix of chemicals. Unlike his boss, he's got a sense of humor and didn't try to send you home. Which makes him good in your books. And he discovered that now that he and Batman have picked up this case, the bad guys are going with plan B. Release the feat toxin in the surrounding areas of the Stadium before they can do anything and create chaos.

Now that you've gotten Batman to let you in on this, or at least tolerate you until the end of the night. You are on your way to where the action is. In nothing else but the. motherfucking. Batmobile. And you thought it sounded kind of lame at first when you first heard it. When you all exited the building and Batman called it over with some device it looked mundane as hell, albeit expensive as hell. But then it transforms, the car expands and plates of metal shift and fold to reveal all kinds of things that can't be street legal.

And this would be a lot cooler. Expect you're stuck in back. Of course it's designed with only two important passengers in mind so your put in one of the couple of seats in the back that Batman reserves for civilians that need an emergency lift. No biggie. You still rode in the Batmobile. But it's kind of dark in here, there aren't any windows but you can tell your going places by the unmistakable feeling of extreme speed this thing is rocking. You must be speeding through Gotham like a rocket but it still feels smooth as all hell. Then you come to a smooth but sudden stop.

You hear the main doors open and footsteps leaving the vehicles and just for one sinking moment you think they're gonna leave you in the car. But thankfully the back opens up and you go to join the Dynamic Duo. Robin is tapping away at the floating display on his gauntlet. "The Batcomputer finished compiling street camera images of Anarky's guys, sending likely bomb locations now."

Batman fiddles with machine as well as he walks to the side of the Batmobile and makes a compartment inside pop open he stares inside for a moment before turning to face you. "Did you bring any equipment with you?"

You pause and look down at your holey clothes and hold your arms up in a way that you hope conveys; Do I look prepared for this?

In response he tosses you a belt, similar to his Robin's though it doesn't have nearly as many pockets or look as high tech. Robin helps you wrap it around your chest and over your shoulder and gives you a quick rundown of everything that's in this one. You feel like you might forget at least one of the several tools but hell, you'll manage. You kind of have to.

Batman puts a hand on Robin's shoulder before you all get to work. "If you see Anarky, or Crane, call for backup."

They turn in opposite directions and realize that they must split up and work separately a lot, it's all happens quickly like they've done it a hundred times. Then you also realize that they're gonna split up and no ones telling you where to go.

>Go with Batman, sure he'll probably be looking for the crazed supervillain but hey- it's Batman.
>Go with Robin, he'll definitely be better conversation.
