Well, I've never done this before, but who gives a shit? If you wanna play, make a character sheet from the template, and just start postin'. Pick a cool race from a cool movie, or make one up, I don't fucking care (the rules of the system are more or less arbitrary).

>This game is set in SPACE and features SPACE SHIT. You have been warned.

Your inventory is currently empty.

If your daddy was a space engineer, add a Quantum Spanner and 20 SpaceBucks to your inventory.

If your daddy was a bounty hunter, add a Big Ol' Space Gun and a Grapple Hook to your inventory.

If your daddy was a space laser monk, you have a Laser Sword and Some Spooky Space Magic.

If your daddy was neither of those things, take 50 SpaceBucks, a Tiny Babby Space Gun, and a Space Hat.

Alright. Yelmalio, you're sitting at the bar of a sleazy space saloon on Magnolia IV. Smooth Jizz music plays out over the crowd from a beat-up Floopbox in one corner. You stare down into your drink and ask yourself: "What the gronk am I doing in a spithole like this?"

not a /qst/ thread but whenever you create aquest do you sometimes feel exhausted and bored in a middle of it and that you just want to stop? This has happened to me multiple times, I would eventually get exhausted and bored and just stop making the quest.

nah, every little reply I get give me motivation to continue, and if there are no replies then there's no reason to update the quest anyway.
I would only run like 1-2 days a week though, if I ran a quest every day i'd probably get burned out.
Will probably start running a quest again when my exams finish.
>>
>>1576710
To avoid burnout and give me time to prepare, I only run mine two days a week. But I'm still not very experienced, only ran two episodes of my quest so far.
>>
>>1576710
Whenever I've ran something my players ran out of motivation before I did. So rather than motivation I lack the skill to engage my players, clearly.

Walking down the road, you contemplate your short-lived time spent breathing. Thinking, you thoughtfully stroke your non-existent beard with a hand.

What... did you actually accomplish?

You take it back. It was actually a complete disaster. Maybe if you’re lucky, some hindu god could hook you up with a reincarnation deal and have you reborn as a trash panda.

Without long, you come up to the pearly gates, where some Saint Peter wannabe stands guard.

Your name is Will and you are currently in the back of a truck. Not willingly, you were kidnapped along with Koko and some of her people when what looked like an attempted sale of guns went badly. You aren’t so sure it was ever supposed to go through, seeing as how Koko was grinning up until a few minutes ago when the ride turned bumpy.

You aren’t sure why but it’s probably because the road got bad at some point. You don’t know where that would happen and definitely don’t know where you are, so all you can do is wait and see what they’re going to do to you.

Thoughts of escape briefly go through your mind but your arms are tied behind your back and you don’t have any weapons, they were taken away from you. You glance over to Koko, who has managed to roll so that her head isn’t bouncing off of the bottom of the truck anymore. She shoots you a grin.

“Don’t worry Will, it’s all going to plan,” she says to you over the roar of the engine, “We’ll get out of this just fine if you follow my lead.”

You nod to her, wondering how exactly getting captured is part of a plan. Morrigan never got you captured as part of a plan but Koko and Morrigan act differently anyway. You sigh, wondering how long the ride is going to take given that you’ve already been driving for at least fifteen minutes or so.

>Ask Koko why getting captured is good.
>Don’t ask, Koko is confusing. Just wait.

this is a tribe evo in which we take several tribes of animals through a journey

each turn you may tell your tribe to perform action and research 1 thing.

to start out, vote for which of these tribes should be in. you can vote for 2 each. only the top 3 will be played. next thread this process will be repeated with a fresh flush of animals. every tribe is on the same map, so try to be practical with how you build your city defenses and try to take some note of what your fellow players are doing (be it for trade or for war)

name fagging would be ideal, but if your not going to make it clear what tribe your working for with a name, try to atleast mention in your post

Racoon
+Stealthy (+20 to all stealth rolls)
+natural thieves (+20 to all theft/raiding rolls)
-Agriculturally inept (-30 to all farming rolls)

Deer
+Fast (+5 to exploration and retreat rolls)
+Resilient (+10% to survival rolls in harsh conditions)
-Coward (-15 to combat rolls)

-Fatty (consumes food 2 times as fast)
-Sensetive (loses moral twice as fast)

+amphibious (strong swimmers)
+sixth sense (+10 roll bonus when searching for food)
-clumsy (-10 to all tool based rolls)

Cat
+good senses (+10 to all exploration, hunting and recon rolls)
-aquaphobic (greatly dislikes water)

Welcome to Risk of Tegia

In this game, four (4) players shall face off, turn by turn, in an all out war for domination.

Win condition: Unite entire map under one faction

Rules:
Each turn, players may elect to move a number of their soldiers from one province to another.

Soldiers, signified by the colored dots on the map, can move to any owned bordering province, but not the province of another player.

Alternatively, a player may reinforce a province by declaring a province that they own and adding one soldier to it.

A player, on his turn, after movement or reinforcement, may also elect to capture a province from an opponent. To do so, the attacking player must declare which province is launching the attack, and how many troops it will commit (1-3 max.), any die that rolls a 4+ will cause the defending province to lose one soldier.

If an attack reduces the amount of soldiers in a province to 0, the province is captured by the attacker, and a minimum of 1 soldier is moved onto it from the attacking province.

A province owned by a player with no soldiers defending it must still be captured, with even one 4+ on an attack resulting in instant capture.

Currently there are four factions:

RED,
4 Provinces
4 Troops

YELLOW,
4 Provinces
4 Troops

GREEN,
2 Provinces
4 Troops

PURPLE,
3 Provinces
4 Troops

I am looking for four players to claim one country each. I don't know how fast it will go, so the light blue area will be used to add more players if that looks more fun.

So quickly, read the rules, ask questions, claim and name your countries and provinces, and then we can begin round one. Turn order will be randomly given each round. When four factions exist, I will give the turn order.

I will update the map every round, and try to keep up with the names.

Questions.

1. Is there a way to create more soldiers?

2. It states in the rules that a 4+ die is rolled they lose a solider and again when no soldiers are standing for capture. What dice is being rolled and how many per action.

3. Are the only actions moving a unit and capturing a tile or are there more actions that can be taken like building a wall to increase the "4+" roll.
>>
>>1586717
1. Reinforcement creates one soldier in a province of your chosing

2.Between 1-3d6 depending on how many soldiers are being dedicated to an attack

3.Per turn, you get either one movement, which lets you move any number of troops to any adjacent province, or a reinforcement, which creates one unit on any province of your choice. Also, you may always attack once per turn, with between 1-3 units on a tile that is adjacent to the one you intend to capture.

So right now, there is no way to improve the odds on that 4+ roll

ALL HEAL: A powerful healing spell that bombards a localized area with energy, healing all those standing in the area of effect. Powerful but likely to drain most if not all of the caster's mana.

SOLAR RAY: One of the few spells devised that takes advantage of the destructive aspects of Sol's light. The caster may project a beam of pure, focused sunlight that will incinerate anything caught in its path.

SANCTUARY: A spell saved for the most dire of times, the caster may create a powerful shield around an individual target, protecting them from any and all harm. However, this works both ways, essentially trapping the target within the protective bubble of energy.

The Mayhem came and went. What was it? Who knows. What caused it? Who cares! The city still stands, and while the working smog is replaced by brown dust and the stench of decay, humanity persists.

After the Mayhem, half the population got killed in the rioting, while the other half got up and left when they realized the more prominent taxpaying citizens couldn't cough up the funds to help support their lifestyles in the big bad boroughs. Decades later, lowlife scum crawl back to the rotting corpse of glass and metal. Druggies, squatters, drifters, goons. Thugs.

You are the leader of one of four gangs in the City. While many goons are scattered here and there, you are one of the few who have the long lost knowledge of piloting vehicles. Your goal: To become the Underboss of the City.

Mafia Recruits wall off the market.

Gangsters move around to help clean off the drug dealers and pushers into legitimate professions like bartenders or general store clerks. Some agree, other don't and step off.

The Mirage merchant is angry. He tells you he is from the southeast quarter, from a legitimate settlement unlike your gang hellhole. They have legitimate arms and vehicles, including a fleet of police choppers, and from your attitude they will retaliate, either economically or militaristically. Your choice.

Welcome to PolitiCiv. You (and others) will run political parties that compete with others for influence in the country but work together to keep the country together. All factions can interact with each other from their inception. First, lets choose the setting of our small power. For context, wherever you start the country will be a newly formed parliamentary power emerging from a catastrophic war.

>The Intro
Hey y'all. If you couldn't tell, this quest will be taking place in the well known DC Comics universe. Here there be gods and monsters, magicians and aliens, and even a clown or two. But bear in mind that due to various time travel related and or multiversal shenanigans, the DC world is ridiculously complex as a whole. So I'll be running a very streamlined version of it. And to be up front about it, it will likely be shaped by my own likes, dislikes, and biases.
Oh, and aforementioned shenanigans won't be making an appearance.
Mostly.

>The Rules
I will write up the life of our young hero Morgan Barret, a high school student who has just left his home of 16 years to move to Gotham City, and you will be given prompts to direct him.
Some things will require a dice roll to determine success or failure or something else entirely. Write In's are absolutely encouraged but I reserve the right to torpedo anything.

The voting period will last 15 minutes after the prompts are given. I will then announce the voting closed and write up the chosen response.

>The Dice
We will be using 1d100 ninety percent of the time here. Best of three. We might use something else when applicable. I'll be running with a loose sort of degrees of success/failure thing here so no real DCs.

Your name is Morgan Barret, high school student, and part time vigilante. The vigilante part feels official now that you've had your first negative run in with the cops after you helped them. Hell, it isn't a stretch to say that you may have saved some of their lives tonight. The opposition was heavy, numerous, and packing significant firepower. You know fuckall about guns but it doesn't take a specialist to know that rifles that spit out enough bullets to turn squad cars into swiss cheese are a bit more impressive than service pistols.

And the boys in blue will be scratching their heads over this one for a little while. Yeah sure, Batman disappears when you aren't looking at him like some sort 80's slasher movie monster but can he straight up ghost his way through obstacles? He can't right? You're pretty damn sure he can't. That'd be a bummer. And it would infringe on your brand. You gotta have a brand eventually, a name.

Nobody has had a chance or the inclination to ask you since you started doing this about a month ago but that may be a blessing in disguise since you'd rather not be put on the spot about it. What if you say something lame like- Poltergeist? Or if you say something that's taken by a hero that already has some fame? You're not a afraid to admit you're a nobody. Not to mention that you live in Batman's city. Ugh, why couldn't you have moved to a place with a hero no one really talks about. Like Green Arrow

Guess you shouldn't be worried about that too much anyways, you're not in this to get famous. And besides, you helped people tonight. Even if literally everyone you helped shot at you.

Right now you're chillin on top of a much taller building than you usually do. An apartment complex, just soaking in the night air and thumbing your totally-legal-police-scanner app. It seems that bank robbery was resolved by police but a quick look at the instant new app tells you they got away with a great deal of money. Good thing that shit's insured. Though you remember the sounds of gunfire coming from that incident and silently hope that nobody had to die for that money.

The apartment fire was resolved pretty damn quickly apparently. A dark figure (more than likely Batman) was seen taking apartment tenants who were out of the reach of the firemen away from the flames and safely into the hands of firemen and paramedics on scene. Though it seems they went after what appeared to be... a man in a jetpack? You don't even know why you're surprised, honestly.

And it seems that whoever broke into Wayne-Tech made a clean break. Which makes you think that they were just that damn good, considering the kind of money Wayne has. They really must have some serious state of the art security and this guy gets away clean? Now that's a professional.

"-requesting backup, requesting backup." A channel on you app flares to life and the officers whisper low voice concerns you much more than if he were screaming for help. "requesting backup at the Dixon docks. We have two officers down and- oh christ. Just send help, please. I'm keeping my head down in a shipping container but they'll find me. Roman Sionis is here, and they'll find me eventually. They'll fucking find me..."

Well, shit.

>Let's go. The docks aren't too far. You're really gonna have to haul ass though.
>Maybe find something else to do, last time you punched above your weightclass you got knocked out.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…

STAR WARS: WARLORDS

It is a time of great unrest in the galaxy. The destruction of the DEATH STAR II, and the deaths of DARTH VADER and EMPEROR PALPATINE have thrown the galaxy into a desperate scramble to reassign the balance of power.

The NEW REPUBLIC, born of the REBELLION, wishes to remake the old, democratic precursor to the Galactic Empire. They have conquered, or received from defectors, several worlds that the Empire used to hold. They have made lightning strikes against the core, and have even taken CORUSCANT! However, the location of their true headquarters is unknown.

The IMPERIAL REMNANT, holding on by much more than a thread, is composed of Admirals, Generals, and Planetary Governors trying to forge their own legacy, and carve away their own little part of the galaxy. The largest fragment, led by GRAND ADMIRAL THRAWN, is making its way to the UNKNOWN REGIONS.

The WARRIORS OF MANDALORE are marching in a new rebellion! They aim to take advantage of the chaos, and perhaps restore the Mandalorian Empire to its pre-Republic glory. Led by the legendary BOBA FETT, they ride from MANDALORE, slowly expanding across the outer rim…

You are ADMIRAL JANUS CAIN, commander of a respectable warfleet, consisting mostly of the remains of the Caridan defense fleet. You lead from the BLIND MAN’S GAMBIT, a Victory-II Star Destroyer, and operate on the ground with the DARKEYE SQUADRON, an elite commando unit consisting of your best troops. You have under your command:

2 worlds:
>Phaeda
and
>Anobis

>100,000,000 liquid credits
>360,000 Stormtroopers with your fleet
>~100,000 Troopers on Phaeda
>100 AT-ATs, 200 AT-STs and assorted dropships with the fleet
>3 Imperial-class Star Destroyers, 1 of those Mark 2, 30 Victories (1 and 2s,) 2 Acclamators loaded for troops, 12 Tartans, 7 Nebulon-Bs
>160 TIE wings, 40 TIE bomber wings (with the fleet). TIE wings have 10 TIEs, bombers have 5 per

It’s a rare moment of peace for you. You stand on the observation deck of the Gambit, gazing out at the semicircle horizon of Phaeda, framed by a backdrop of stars and inky void. As you watch, one of your ISDs warps back in from a reconnaissance mission to Kuat. It’s been quite a while since you’ve been able to kick back with a nice cup of simcaf and just watch the stars… Since you shipped off Anobis, in fact.

Anobis. A farming planet embroiled in a civil war, at a glance. In reality…

You check the time. You have a few minutes to your next event. As you take your next sip of simcaf, your mind wanders back to Anobis…

We’re just going to jump right in here, hold onto all y’all’s butts.

Your foot almost slips on the mist-slick metal of the ship’s loading ramp, which is in motion to close. You manage to grab a hydraulic pump and hoist yourself into the cargo hold before it slams shut and kills you. You roll into it, do a quick push up, and draw your blaster. There’s some cargo held down with bindings that are definitely in violation of some regulations, a small cargo towcraft, and a ladder leading out of the hold.

Welcome back to Dark Empire Quest, where you, the players aid the reborn Emperor Palpatine and Imperial Commander Alana Tyrna and possibly others as they fight to rebuild the Galactic Empire after the crushing defeat at Endor and the subsequent collapse. We will guide their choices, deal with the consequences of their actions, and work to ensure the Empire rises once again.

I allow between ten and twenty minutes for voting depending on the importance of the issue and how divided the vote is. If the vote is tied up, I usually allow an extra five minutes for a tie breaker, and if no one votes, I roll for the tie breaker (The will of the dark side).

I always try to incorporate (and encourage) write ins if they don't violate the spirit of voted decisions, though I may edit or tweak them to fit better.

I also am always open for questions. I'll just ask that they stay relevant to current events in the quest, or at least the near future.

Previously, two Dark Siders, Brakiss and an alien called Mi arrived on Splinter reportedly to investigate ties between your XO Lieutenant Roth Tierce and the Rebellion. Brakiss admitted that the investigation was spurred by your lieutenant's uncle, Reynauld Tierce. After declining an offer to stake your life on Tierce's innocence, Brakiss forcibly sifted through Tierce's mind for the information he sought, coming up blank. Now, Brakiss was turning his sights on you.

"What?" you asked, dumbfounded.

Brakiss frowned, looking annoyed he has to repeat himself. Not a good expression from a Komissar and Dark Sider sent to investigate your second in command on trumped-up charges of treason.

"I asked you what it is that you're hiding from me," he says each word slowly as if you may not understand. You watch his eyes as he talks, wondering what sort of wellspring of anger lurks behind them that let him act with such callous disregard for human life and decency. Only moments earlier Brakiss's compatriot, a quiet female alien, had left with your Executive Officer, too weak to make his own way after Brakiss was finished with him. Now, the Komissar was questioning what secrets you were keeping from him.

A thousand thoughts are racing through your mind. You had deleted the electronic records of your decision to use emergency measures to save the lives of Lieutenant Vells and his fellow Tie pilots. You knew Komissar Brakiss wouldn't care if you had saved the lives of some of your best pilots, but he would care that in doing so you violated procedures. You'd declined to submit your grievously wounded pilots for evaluation to be made into the cybernetic terrors the Empire called "Shadow Droids".

Your slicing job of the databanks was shoddy, you'd deleted a few other records at random to make it look less targeted, but any in-depth investigation would likely find what you'd done. Of course, the other possibility was that Brakiss could simply rip this information from your mind as you'd just watched him do with your XO, Lieutenant Tierce.

It wasn't clear what the Dark Sider knew, what he suspected, or what he was trying to bait you to reveal, and without force talents of your own, there was no real way to tell. Lying to Brakiss could result in him exhibiting another fit of rage as he'd displayed when he cleared off your desk using the force. Though, he looked exhausted after his "interrogation" of Tierce, maybe he was too weak to try that mind reading trick again.

Of course, you could come clean and tell the truth, though Brakiss may take no sympathy with you and you would be revealing thins he'd never truly suspected.

Additionally, rank has privileges. The only other person with knowledge of the cover up was the Chief Medical Officer, in fact he'd brought the situation to your attention in the first place. It would be quite easy to pin all the blame on him.

>Tell him everything
>Scapegoat the Chief Medical Officer
>"I think I've been very forthcoming, my Lord" (lie)
>Write in

A couple things: First, I know these games usually start slow, so I'm going to give extra time to this vote for players to pick up since it's so important. Secondly, a correction. Last session I erroneously called Brakiss an Inquisitor. He's not, he's a Komissar.

>Tell him everything about how we had to burn through our cybernetic stockpile and did. It dones't need to be a lie, but it doesn't need to be the 100% truth.

His been honest with us.

Hi guys.

***

The harbor is... it looks brand new. Quite massive and modern, considering how few ships are anchored at the moment, making it look even larger than it is.

Well, as the rest of the fleet throws anchor on it, about 1/5th of it becomes full, which only goes to further show the huge size of the infraestructure.

We are keeping a few ships in the air at all times, though. Just in case.

The large grey stone blocks the harbor is built with are nicely cut and placed with just barely visible seams between them, suggesting very good craftmanship... if we didn't know it is possible for a [Craftsman] to do so with magic but... while it is possible to pave a road section for repairs, can you actually build a whole road or building that way?

With the death of the vizir, it looks as if the Alquian welcoming comittee is having quite a bit of trouble deciding on what to do, but after a few minutes, a young man (likely an ape or monkey beastkin, it seems) walks forth and introduces humself as the son of the recently deceased vizir.

He bows deeply as he welcomes Mako, and soon the officers and nobles behind him imitate his actions.

>Let Mako introduce herself
>Act as her representative
