Need your help.
Girlfriend has a 2000 Jetta III.
It has an issue where of we start the car, drive for a any amount of time, turn it off, then try to start the car within half an hour, it won't start.
It is remedied by popping the hood, opening the coolant reservoir which depressurizes, closing the reservoir, and then the car will start just fine.
It usually works but every now and then it won't start for like an hour.
We've replaced the reservoir, the hoses, almost everything related to temperature, yet it still persists.
Besides her car being an abominable piece of shit, what the fuck could the issue be?

Not that we are aware of.

Ignition has never been changed.
Fuel pump was changed three years ago
Now that I'm thinking about it we did find a little bit of oil on one of the spark plugs once, and there was a bit of water in the oil a while back. But it wasn't a constant, both occured like twice ever and haven't been a problem since. We check pretty frequently for it.

MR2 mk3 vs Celica
Help me make a choice here.
Needs to be:
>reliable
>DD
>WAT
So far, obviously Celica would be more practical, but MUH FWD vs RWD kicks in.
I could live without the practicality of a normal car I guess, would need to rent a golf or some other shitbox from time to time for an airport trip or take public transport.
FUCK it's a hard choice.
And don't offer fucking MX-5, please. I live in the UK and they are all rotten to fuck, except for Jap imports, but those are expensive.
MR2 and Celicas ar both around £2-3k.
