>300 smooth, Japanese horsepower from a TT V6
>Comfy, driver-centric interior
>T-tops for sunny Saturday cruises
>Undeniably iconic 90s styling
>4 seats
>Huge aftermarket
>No drift/rice tax of other options such as the S chassis
>Dirt cheap insurance (at least in the UK)
>Sounds incredible
Prove to me that the 300zx isn't the best value for money sporty-tourer there is out there.

In terms of top speed, it's just as fast as an FD at a quarter the price
>Overpriced
I disagree, twin turbo V6s are hard to come by at a lower price than this
>Impossible to work on yourself
Untrue, anyone with some mechanical experience can work on these with the help of manuals and Google

I'm a little nervous because there's no MVC inspection sticker. I mean there was clearly the remnants of one at one point, but it was peeled off when I bought it.
Does anyone know any unscrupulous reasons you might remove an inspection sticker? I was given the title and the VIN matches. Also this guy was the same ethnicity as me and we spoke the same first language, so I really don't expect trickery from him. But it's still weird that the sticker is gone.
persuade me not to buy an 86 without just saying "it's slow"
ive been looking at a used frs with ~30k miles as my first non-hand-me-down car, i just want something that's fun to drive, practical and looks good. speed isn't really too important to me as i dont plan on drag racing people often and if i do feel like its too slow i can boost it in the future when i come into more money.
if it suits your needs and you like it, get it.
It's still faster than what most of /o/ drives anyway.
>>17473276
Because it's slow is a big deal. It's marketed as a sports car that's slower than a van. For a tiny bit more money you can get way better cars. Or, if used, dozens of better cars. That being said, you want it, go buy it. Even boosting it won't make it fast. It will make it tolerable. The car is only "fun" on a track where you have free reign to do what you want. On the street it will feel weak and nowhere near as fun as many other cars.
You aren't alone, I would love to get my hands on an 86, but they are still too new and expensive. Wait about 2 years and you can probably get one for a more reasonable price. (That's my plan).

i've been looking around and the prices are insane

this is mental to me, especially when a mint rx-8 or celica is 3k
what's a good looking cheap, fun car?
no, i don't fit in a miata, no it won't be a DD
popups strongly preferred
It's an econobox with a dead sexy body, can be found for 3k in good shape where I live.
Also any Celica of your choice, because well, toyota reliability.

Oh I just thought you were looking for something that looked nice. My bad.
Celica is still worth considering though.
Hey /o/, I'm asking on behalf of a friend.
The dude has been driving the family car for a while (for work, errands, and stuff), and likes to occasionally hit 100km/hr on empty highways.
Welp, his parents put a GPS tracker on the car, so they can hassle him if he drives too fast, and can know wherever he is.
The guy wants to buy his own car now, so he can be free to drive as he pleases.
What advice does /o/ have on first-time car purchases? How can he spend the least money and still get something reliable for work? How can he get the best fuel-efficiency and speed?
Honda Civic and shut the fuck up.
dude if you actually want us to recommend a car you need to give us parameters. budget, new vs used, auto or manual trans, ect.
>>17484496
He wants to be realistic: used, for around 5000$, automatic, and he's willing to get an older model if that saves him more
