With our successful meet in Galveston with so many people coming over, a few newfags and fags from different cities and states, this was a huge change in direction of where we were headed.
July 29th 2017 is one for the books, the day some might even consider the revival in our spirits
To everyone who showed up, to everyone who contributed, we all thank you. For those who missed it, we wish you were there.
It was a wonderful gathering, with great memories and lots of fun even with some disco lights at the end.
One thing I think that is important to say is this, the more you contribute, the more you get from Night Wave.
If you want a change to happen, then work for it, if you want to make an event or have a gathering, make it so.

Fair enough

I cannot even begin to describe how little interest she has in motor racing or anything to do with cars

It's more than likely you wouldn't have seen this thread if we kept our "discussions" on our chat.

What is the best way to protect your vehicle from theft?
>>17635951
Drive a filthy shitbox that even a crackhead wouldn't steal.
Remove a wheel every time you are not using it
>>17635971
Removable steering wheel maybe?
You can use fast acceleration literally everywhere and it makes merging/passing way easier plus you can embarrass ricer fags. Meanwhile how often can you make it out to a twisty mountain road to actually experience the full potential of a roadster? Once or twice a year? Also muscle cars sound objectively better and get more respect. Nobody will ever think an s2000 is cooler than a ws6.
Or you could just like both and not make shit threads.
>>17670233
99% of /o/ can't though. The smoky mountains would be perfect for a Miata but it's 10 hours away from me meanwhile there are hundreds of stoplights in every city
>>17670251
So based entirely on your own location, that is what prompts you to make such a shitty thread?
Really bad case... The owner probably never washed his hands
>>17669570
i kekked a little bit
I apply diatomaceous earth to my wheel every couple of weeks. Gives me good grip and keeps this shit away.
I've only driven pick ups and SUVs in my time of driving, so I want my second car to be something fun to drive. I got a budget of around 13k for a sportscar. Must be rear wheel drive (or 4) and manual. Importing is an option.
Could you guys recommend me some? I really like Porsche 924s, 944s, and 968s so would any of those be good buys?
>t. Burger
>>17669473
If you really want a Porsche, don't be a hipster and buy an 80's or early 90's FR model. Get a Boxter.
>>17669481
nah cuz if ur gonna get a porsche get a reeel supercar like a 911 turbo
>>17669481

This. Specifically a 996 turbo which is an unbelievable bargain right now. If you can't afford that you can't really afford to own a 944 regardless of what the buy-in might lead you to believe unless it was LS1 swapped or something
I'm thinking of swapping in an RB20 into my 1996 Nissan D21
Would this be a good option to turn my mini truck into a sleeper that I could also use for transporting things and as a daily driver? I couldn't find much documentation online and an RB swap into one of these either. The stick engine is a KA24DE so wouldn't an RB or maybe even an SR20 bolt right in?
Any opinions are also appreciated
>>17668803
holy shit, sounds cool but it'd do a lot of research make sure you know about ecus, obdI vs obdII because you'll probably have to convert your truck to obdII, make sure you have access to a good welder, a grinder someone with the skill to use them and plenty of spare parts

Hey /o/ I'm a legit big guy (inb4 Bane) at 6'6" tall.
Got my eye on a cheap Honda CRX - any idea how big they are inside? Am I about to cuck myself?
>>17668631
I'm much shorter than you and my head can basically touch the ceiling.
Test drive before you buy
>>17668707
Thanks for the info.

Looking for a car to drive in the UK that can fit a 6'6" guy in - really after something stylish though.

First for I secretly hope Suzuki gets it's act together.
>>17667433
Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I don't have a problem with replacing parts or performing regular maintenance. Really what I meant by "run forever" was that it's simple enough, and easy enough to work on, that it's unlikely to suffer from a catastrophic failure that can't be fixed by an amateur/hobbyist mechanic.
>>17667467
Dr650. Air cooled, carburetor, chain drive, single cylinder dual sport with analog everything.
Due to circumstances that i wont start explaining, i have no choice but to fill my engine with old used oil and drive 50km with it.
Whats the worst that could happen?
>>17667311
Almost nothing, you'll be fine.
source on girl pls
>>17667311
define old, and used?
how dark is it?
how long was it in the other car?
did the other car have any leaks with its oil like antifreeze getting in it?
how thick is the oil now?
Which car is superior?
Which car is the best bang for the buck?
Which one would you like to own and drive the most?
Based on What did you decide that?

My mazda RX-7's name is Pitiful Pete

How come?
Fuck is this shit, /o/?
I got some exact match millennium silver metallic paint for my 01 IS300, and it looks like total garbage. It's a flat silver, and there's no metallic fleck in it whatsoever.
Did I do something wrong? What gives?
>>17666064
Should have double checked at discounted paint matching place
Looks nice.
Are you not a nigger? Why do you paint rust holes?
>>17666078
Not a nigger (as it should be reasonably obvious), I'm just poor as fuck
Hey /o/
I've been saving some money from working I am now seeking to buy my first car. (15k budget)
What are your thoughts on starting out on a RX-7 F3DS? My friends told me is not a bad idea, that the car is pretty tame and not that powered if stock. Genuinly interested to know what you guys think about this, I would import the car from Japan as they are cheaper there.
