If mad max can drive an automatic, why can't you?
Care too much about driving experience and having control over my car.
He threatened to quit though.

Does anyone here know any insurance providers in the UK that are actually cheap?! Lower than £2000
how old are you, how long have you been licensed, how many years NCB do you have, what are you trying to insure and are you in a city or a rural area?
if you're younger than 21 you're going to be bent over and taken by most policies
the best places in my experience would probably be quotezone and confused .com
>300-400€ a year insurance

Yes. I'm paying a grand a year for a Fiesta Metal as my second car, passed my test 6 months ago. No black box either
Hey /o/ I was wondering whether I should buy a Jeep XJ that's already lifted and ready for the trails or buy a Jeep TJ or YJ then mod it afterwards.
>>17747942
Mod it yourself you'll appreciate it way more.
>>17747942
Neither. Jeeps are trash. Get a pathfinder or 4runner
>>17748170
this is true
also XJ do not last long if you actually offroad them
Any owners of this specific model have any comments on it?
inb4 random insults and off topic shitposting
i dont own one and i dont want to
2014 WRX hatch was the last good WRX. The shitty part was that the design caused a lot of drag.
Hi, /o/
So, I'm thinking about getting an extra car-one of my kids wants to drive to school, and I don't want her taking a nice car because HS students drive like idiots and I see cars getting totaled out in that parking lot every day. And, anyway, I'm driving the car she'll be taking eventually and i don't feel like giving it up yet.
I was thinking about getting an inexpensive convertible. It looks like older Miatas and Z4's can be had for less than 10K.
Its not a long drive to HS, I figured once she's done with that I'll send her off to college with the nicer car I don't want her to park at HS, buy myself another daily driver, and keep the convertible just for fun.
Any reason not to burn 10K on a miata or a z4? Anything I should watch out with them? Any other convertibles I should consider?
>>17747406
Oh, I forgot to mention, one reason I'm considering these is I make my kids learn how to drive with manual transmissions and I can get both of them with sticks.
Anyone know if this shit works or has a cheaper alternative? Was out in my carbed turd gen yesterday and it had no power after sitting at a light a couple cycles. Engine wasn't overheating, so I think it had to be the fuel boiling in the float bowl due to newer fuel formulas that don't have anti-boiling additives anymore since EFI doesn't need it.
>inb4 it doesn't have any power anyway, yes i know
>>17747337
People have tested it and it cleans the fuel injectors restoring power loss.
Can we all agree that small mirrors are stupid and it'd be much better if all cars had van sized mirrors? Fuck the designers who decide to make a car look 1% better at the expense of visibility.
Yes, 100x yes. Work ute (hilux) has these pissant little fucks that can barely frame the letterbox of the house behind you, so goddamn dangerous if you don't literally check all your blind spots.
Might be better if they were curved, but it's just plain flat glass. Fuck. I can see half the world with my miata mirrors and they're only like 4 degrees convex.
My current car's mirrors are quite small and smaller than any I've had before and they work fine for me.
I just check blind spots like crazy all the time. Used to it

Hey guys just a little question from a car noob. So I recently bought my first car and have a subwoofer and amp I would like to install into the trunk. How much does installation normally cost.
>>17746714
$150-$450 depends on how complex
>>17746714
the stock system is perfectly adequate. Don't bother.
Installation not counting parts, not much. Getting a halfway decent lowend setup will set you back at least $500. Don't let anyone tell you you can just get a little 50w 8" tossed in some 1/4" plywood prefab and call it a day. It'll sound like shit and you'll have wasted your money.
Let me share my secret of spot and streak free windshield.
Make sure to have a waffle weave or low pile microfiber towel, and use a 50/50 mix of distilled water and distilled white vinegar in a spray bottle. The water MUST be distilled, this is the trick to be streak free, and the vinegar helps break anything up. Waffle weave or low pile microfiber is essential because having a regular thiccness or extra thicc towel will grab the glass and won't glide over the glass. Every single glass cleaner I've tried just leave streaks, while this does not, I don't even have to use the 2 towel method. Just wipe with one side of the towel and flip over to the other to finish it off. You don't even have to do that, usually the vinegar and distilled water evaporates quickly and doesn't leave anything behind. Since vinegar is a natural light degreaser, it gets finger prints really easily.
I know some people don't like the smell of vinegar, but I think it's much better than the smell of most glass cleaners. Plus since it's all natural, it's safe for tints and I even use it on my computer monitor with a anti glare coating and it cleans it better than any glass cleaner I have ever used. Even invisible glass left white streaks on my monitor that I could never get rid of even with plain water, but the vinegar took it right off and I've never seen it so clean before.
You're welcome.
I use Windex and a paper towel

Hello guys! Got a problem with 2012 Mercedes GLK 300.
We went to a service station and changed the oil and the oil filter. Everything was OK. Ater 60 miles and 3 hours we got a CHECK ENGINE lamp on, then ABS/ESP and Cruise Control were shut down.
Can this electroinc trouble be related to the oil change?
Did anyone get the same problem?
Who knows, what the fuck is going on?
(sry for bad English)
>>17745159
>not changing the oil yourself
>>17745159
Go to the dealer, run the codes, get ass fucked to unfuck whatever the service station people did.
Clearly, you're too incompetent to figure out how to run codes yourself, much less do any real work yourself.
Have you ever raced another /o/ user?
