Take a look at Dancouga and Dancouga Nova. One robot forms the bulk of the body with its legs forming the combined robot's arms and legs, one folds up to form the head, and one folds into a box that forms each foot. Look up pics of the Metamor Force Dancouga figure if you want to see a real-life implementation of how this works.

I once did a boxwar dressed as a discount Alteisen, I've only kept the helm but the rest of the armor got broken away.
I had fuckhuge spaulders with hidden spare weapons inside (the rule was that everyone should keep at least one weapon in hand at all times, no hand ripping allowed) a cardboard stake and a cardboard axe, both broke away after a few hits and I kept fighting only with the handle of the axe.
We left a mess afterward but goddamn if it wasn't worth it.

Every /m/an should do at least one boxwar in his life dressed as a mecha.

I would gladly take any new Danball stuff, be it a new game, one of the older games getting a localization, a new show, new models or the old kits getting a new run. But History of Justice can go fuck off.

I don't know, but I think the "deep space" part is perhaps more likely than being necessarily "hard" (though they do have a researcher on staff, so you never know).

We don't know that, but I assume it might be similar to Gargantia? One AI and one human.

I'd certainly bet the new Code Geass will only air in 2018.

They'll just start with the recap films this year, most of which is just editing together old footage and adding maybe 15 or 20 minutes of new stuff at most.

As a musou connoisseur, I disagree, but it would've definitely been stronger with a well built crossover story but with static stages(like in the first game) and save the random craziness for a side mode.

Gameplay wise, it shits on most musou games save only for the main series & orochi.

I am a big fan of the One Piece games, mostly because I feel that the characters have a good variety. I with more of the Musou games gave each character a unique mechanic like they did for Pirate Musou.

The first one was kind of meh, skipped over 2 and 3 but I enjoyed the hell out of Reborn even if it was a bit grindy sometimes. The number of playable suits was pretty great.
