Just finished watching Zeta, Unicorn and Thunderbolt Gundam.
I don't get it.
I thought Zeon were supposed to be the bad guys?
they are
feds are just slightly less evil, think "high school yakuza"
Gundam isnt intended to be black and white on who is good and who is bad, it isnt some goofy kids show with obvious villans. Afterall there are no 'bad' guys in war, just people with different views.
The point of gundam is to realize all humans are pure evil
Prove me wrong. You can't.
Anyone here up for a Titanfall thread? Let's talk about why Legion is the best titan.
To kick things off, post your:
>favorite pilot
>favorite titan
>the titan that gives you the most trouble in 1v1 titan combat
On a side note, does /m/ have a network on PC?
Gutting titan loadout customization was the worst decision
>>15170832
I think it was an excellent move towards making the titans feel more distinct from the pilots. When you had full customization it just felt like you were a pilot with a Mario super mushroom.
Also the campaign is the best /m/ game I've played in a decade. If the main character only had a little bit more depth and if the titans were a tiny bit less kitbashy, it would be the best ever.
>>15170771
The PC playerbase is pretty small, so we tend to just use the /vg/ one.

It's been over 8 years since 00S2 started airing, and I only just realized that a kid gets fucking shot in the head in the first opening.Honestly that and the 1st two minutes of 00's 1st ep, was something IBOS1 should have had.
You think we'll ever get SOMETHING covering Setsuna's life as a child soldier in the KPSA?
what a way to start off a Gundam show
Setsuna lived a hard life.
I'd rather his backstory be kept ambiguous. We know more than enough of his past from flashbacks. So I think even more material would either contribute nothing, or even ruin him.
Ot would be much better if we got some snippets from the past lives of the bridge crew, or even the other meisters.
>>15170593
The sharp contrast between the grim reality of the beginning of this show and the end of Awakening the Trailblazer is one of the reasons I hate that movie. This was everything that got me into the show, not fucking silver aliens.
What went wrong?
I watched it, I hated it, but I can't put into words why I hated it.
If people would need to know why they liked/disliked something then there wouldnt be so many people on MAL with a mean rating of 7.5-8.
For years you've been told to blindly hate on it regardless of what you think since it was popular and baby's first gundam then. So now you're confused and don't know what to really think of it.
You hate it because you think Kira definitely died and Lacus is actually evil, and that the Alliance wasn't set up to be malicious from count zero.
just finished marathon it.
so feed me /m/, what the fuck am i watching?
& yes, Godannar general thread.
>>15170208
derp, should say 'the fuck did i just watch'?
A nice (if low budget) show that happens to have
giant
goddamn
tiddies
everywhere
>>15170208
You should get the Blu Ray release. I really liked Godannar a lot though. Very high energy fun show. About due for a rewatch myself.
Shizuru best girl
Is Texhnolyze /m/?
>>15170144
It's cyberpunk, and /m/ is the closest we've got to a science fiction board, so why not? We've had a few big Ghost in the Shell threads recently so it should fit in. Never actually seen it though.
>>15170144
sure
>>15170144
>/m/ is the closest we've got to a science fiction board
It basically is just a general sci-fi board.
Alright /m/ I need your help. I was looking through the wiki article on Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. 0096: Last Sun and found that they added new pictures for Vol. 5 of the manga.
In the picture it shows 3 Mobile Suits, the Prototypr ZZ Gundam (NITRO) front and center, the Unicorn 03 Phenex in the background, and thrid Gundam type suit that for the life of me I can't identify. The wiki article doesn't seem to have this guy listed.
Do any of you know who this mystery Gundam is? This is the best pic I could get.

Are you doing this on purpose?

The front chest protrusion with the square port, the large head crest for the V fin, and the feet design leads me to believe that it's the Prototype Psyco Gundam.

Real talk. I was casully browsing /m/ and Gundam Wiki when I stumbled upon the image and decided to make a thread. I never saw the thread you linked. This is a complet coinsidence.
Would you watch a SoL show about the daily life of stronk robogirls
Yes because I'm not a tasteless cuckold like >>15169735
Why do construction robots look like cute girls?
>>15169791
Because why wouldn't they
>>15169667
My dick.

What would you pilot, shitposter-kun?

Nobell RX-78-2 Gundam
How does PxZ and SRW Z link up to the greater Tommy Westphall Universe theory? Consequently, this does involve Nitroplus Blasterz, right?
They expanded the chart lately it seems?
SRW's connections. This entire cavalcade of crossovers ends up with Fate/Grand Order, which means Goetia somehow?
Can someone explain how DC links up to the rest of Westphall, short of connecting it to the current CW superhero shows?
>>15169641
What happens if one of the shows in the Westphall universe has a similar ending twist of its own, say "it was all a dream", and it had its own share of crossovers with series that were also connected to the regular Westphall?
Okay, at first I was turned off by the SD proportions and the story is a steamy turd, but the kitbashing aspects are really keeping me entertained.
This is my GM with Gouf armor and Dom legs. A smooth ride.
I'm not too far in so my parts selection is really limited.
>>15169472
>>15169488
As long as you keep using that shoulder cannon. Shoulder cannons make every mech better.
I've always been somewhat interested in the game, how is it? I don't mind the SD mechs, and I like turn based RPGs.
>>15169472
>I was turned off by the SD proportions
Way to out yourself as a low-powerlevel pleb.
I just though, wouldn't it be cool if we get a Kamen Rider series that is an adaptation of Cyborg 009. You know, like how metalder was kinda an adaptation of kikaider
>>15169439
I don't know, isn't Kyuranger sort of doing that already? Besides, modern Rider shows can't have more than 2 Riders without TATAKAE happening. I do agree, but still.
>>15169439

I finished episode 1 of Steel Jeeg and I'm questioning if it's really a mecha. Hiroshi becomes the head of Jeeg instead of going inside and piloting it.
>>15169374
You already posted this on /a/. Also make it to episode 29 and feel the epic win that is Gakki!
>>15169379
Yeah, I meant to post it on /m/. But I fucked up. Damn iPad has been glitching up.
>>15169374
Mecha means machine, so even a toaster is mecha.I think we should have a toaster thread.Perhaps you mean to question whether Jeeg is a giant robot? It is.
>>15169379
>epic win
Welcome back, my friend. How was the coma?
Did THAT just happen?
That has to be the most original and fucked up murder scene in chinese cartoon history. Wow.
mfw
>>15169284
Haven't been keeping up. Spoil me.
Does it ever depress you that despite every attempt by characters in the UC the events in Victory Gundam occur, and then the Black History occurs? It's sad that despite everyone from Amuro to Banagher being optimistic about the future, you know that the fighting never ends and the soldiers keep getting younger until you get a fucking thirteen year old main character, and then the Moonlight Butterfly occurs and humanity is fucked for potentially thousands of years. Ultimately everything the protagonists do is useless to end the fighting.
>>15169214
In a way. Though, I'm more inclined to think that having so many continuing sequel series in general was just a mistake. I realize that the later series had their own audience, but that's all the more reason it strikes me as redundant that they exist in the same timeline. It's odd to me that the wars continue as they do to the extent that they do, but maybe that's the point.
Either way I rarely think of, say, Victory Gundam in direct relation to where CCA left off. I do think it lends that much to the story.
I think if Amuro and Banagher could stop war temporarily. There will come a day where one could stop it permanently.
>>15169214
>Banagher being optimistic about the future
Banagher's goal was half-realized.
He wanted to also kill off the "zeonic spirit" that kept on bringing zeonic ideologies back as a reason for war.
This is symbolized with Char's "excorcism".
He was also just trying to free Mineva from being a political tool so he could fuck her.
