She likes powerful men, and those fetishes are about men using that power in a sexual way

Hi everyone. First time posting on this board ever.

What's your thoughts on the author Astrid Lindgren and her work?
Specifically 'brothers lionheart'.
And "Mio my Mio"

Did you ever read them when you where young? What's your favourite tale? Can you get the English translation's online somewhere?

Mio min Mio has some nice passages and it's good for a fairytale, but overall it's too soft.

In my opinion, Astrid Lindgren's best book is Vi på Saltkråkan. I don't know what title it's translated under. It's a depiction of a widowed father and his children (mostly) during one summer vacation in the Stockholm archipelago and their interactions especially with one family living there. This is one of those books that many might read when they're kids (although it's not as light as the Karlsson, Pippi, or Emil books etc.), at least in Nordic countries, but if you read it as an adult with some experience you realize there's a lot of depth to it. It's probably in my top 30.

Most of her books are worth reading. I can't remember any real turkeys. Many of them are quick reads like the series I mentioned in parentheses above because they're primarily for children.

I want to read some more good sci-fi novels since what's on TV and Movies are shit these days. I just read pic related and read the wikipedia afterwards which describe it as "unfilmable" due to the concepts and depictions in the novel. Does /lit/ have any other thought provoking sci-fi novels with such trippy descriptions that they will probably never be made in a movie?

Was looking for a small carrying case for my copy of the Bhagavad Gita. This being a holy book, I want to treat it with care and keep it from other worldly items that may be in my everyday backpack. My copy is pretty small, it's the pic related; a paperback copy of Sri Aurobindo's translation. I am thinking that people who carry a Bible around with them might have some suggestions. I am also open to book cover suggestions if anyone has a good one.
Cheers.

So stupid. You're supposed to use the knowledge in practice. It should be evident in your everyday actions throughout your life. Keeping it in a carrying case is incredibly egotistical and also pointless since it means you haven't memorized and synthesized the information. Having to refer to a book like that shows that you don't understand its message because you're not applying it properly.
>>
>>9888618
I haven't read it yet.............. What is wrong with you lmao
>>
>>9888648
Yet, it's holy to you? Grow up son. Unless you're asian, there's no reason why this book should be more holy to you than the bible.

Im not asking about conspiracy theories. Im asking about literary references. What have people written about and around posession. I dont want kooks telling me its real. Just useful literary references be it real lit or genre trash or philosophical musings. Im sure prehaps /x/ could help with academic papers perhaps...

Anyone read this? He's apparently got a semi-Ligottian sort of tone, but centred around war rather than depression and antinatalism (for obvious reasons). Thoughts?

Are there any authors (fiction or non-fiction) who talk about tulpas? I've been reading a lot of "green pill" literature and the idea of tulpas seems too important to not mention.

Seek out the Fringe in 8ch, and look into the library in the sticky post, there are a few links there that might lead you to what you need.
Look for works regarding thoughtforms as well, they're the same thing.
Can't give you much advice regarding quality of works because I haven't had much experience with Tulpas themselves though.

In my mind, man, in my mind. Seriously though, I like to plan sagas and revisit different parts of the timelines with a character in mind, and then I think run the narrative over haphazardly to see what connections might arise from other subplots or in different moments of the narrative. I used to do it a lot when I was working or travelling. I usually don't write any of it down though, because that'd be sacrilegious and the gods would probably smite me. So I bundle them into my day to day life with long stringy sentences about what will always appear to be nothing on the outside, and what will arise occasionally after a few too many drinks. Basically, I don't like to write if I don't have to because I'm not much of a fan of work. I'd rather be doing something important on the inside where it counts then being subjected to the appraisal of the illiterate. The idea of writing one day may come to me within some sort of meta-nonfictional account of my dreams that dictate to my computer; however, that day is far off towards "The Point of No Return", and I just don't think I've managed the character development yet to a point where I could just give up and return to my old self before the "Change of Plans", or even the "Opportunity". I don't know though, maybe I'm fooling myself and this is just a way to get back at me in the early stages of timeline development, or is even some plot that is strangely connected to my uploaded self that has now figured out a way to enter into my dreamstates and manipulate my narrative self, causing havoc just so as to warn me off of writing anything down that I might not want to say, even to myself - which is of course only a fictional idea that I've thought up for this moment to explain why I might not ever be able to write at all. Writing is just to dangerous and detrimental to the safety of my imminent self that I probably just can't make him gift me ability to even rearrange that fictionalisation into a non-fictional account of how I wrote, or do now write to and for myself - the idea being that I have earned the right to say nothing to no one at any point in this dictation. The machine will not stop running though, so I don't know, I guess I'll never be written, I'll take up painting or some such activity that invalids do between masturbating and lunch; or I'll start a magazine just to force myself to write, and I'll write articles about psychopaths and politics, maybe with a hint towards some Bret Easton Ellis type of moralising seeping through subtle between the obscurantism and politics; though I don't like much of anything there in that mix, and I'm probably too dyslexic to start a magazine just to force myself to write - so that it, I won't write a god damn thing, unless that god is me in some future non-fictional way that I could inhabit a space that is able to be a time in the future and still impart wisdom to me about the current state of my affairs with literature.
