Just trying to become a full-time writer. It's going fairly well, made over $120 in August and I'm aiming to make as much or more again in September. So I'm roughly 10% the way there since I consider $1250 a month to be enough to consider myself a full-time writer. I live a simple life and that would be more than enough for me to live off of at this present moment. As I continue to write, to improve, and to get more works under my belt, I'll continue to make more money and will be able to continue to improve my life. Eventually I'll write non-fiction I dare say but certainly lots of fiction. It's too fun not to, and turning out to be too valuable not to. Who is going to say 'no' to getting paid over $100 a month just for doing what you love? Only a fool would do such, and I'm no fool. At least I like to think I'm not, as fun as foolishness can be.

Is ignorance the only defense against Spengler? Is there any credible criticism for his works and thoughts, aside from censorship?

Reading an actual history book debunks pretty much every word he said.

I guess the ones that agree with him aren't actual, then?

Hit me up with some of that philosophy of biology. Particularly interested in constructive critique of evolutionary psychology.
Already read Peter-Godfrey Smith's Darwinian Populations.

I think it'd be interesting to see how the regular reader whose native language isn't English does in this test. Here's the video where I got this from and the difference between readers and non-readers is obviously noticeable.

What are some secrets to writing good sentences? Using verbs and adjectives a lot?
5 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>9965833
yes
also use adverbs to describe HOW people have said something
stop using "said" - get creative and fun!
why shouldn't a sentence begin with And? It's a word for pete's sake!

hope this helps best of luck xxoo
>>
>>9965844
I like colorful dialogue tags but arent they kind of amateur too? im writing serious literature here
>>
What? No. Keep things short and to the point. Only use extensive adjectives/adverbs once you have the basics down and know what you're doing.

>tfw I literally don't have the balls to live life the way I want
>feel like I have to read shitloads of boring old books or else people will call me a pleb
>feel like I have to go through SICP even when I find it boring
>took me over 6 months to grind through Nicholas Nickleby and the Brothers Karamazov- they were boring as fuck
>procrastinating reading great expectations- halfway through and it's boring as fuck

I truly believe that my tastes reflect much more intelligence than some stupid "literary intellectual's" citation circlejerk idea of brothers Karamazov having "profound insights". I feel like I will always be trapped in to reading stuff I am told to read even though I believe that boredom is an incredible bullshit detector.

It's so demoralising to realise that women have everything handed to them with preferential treatment and career success is 99 % networking, fitting in with normies, being judged by normie committees, and bullshitting. How can anyone give a fuck? It's near impossible.

I wish I had the type of autism that let me work on one thing for 10 hours in a row. I resent my lack of will to do this.

Coffee ruins my sleep and therefore gym strength. I will have to give it up soon and what will I have left to do when my main hobby is sitting around in public to feel less alone, drinking coffee, browsing 4chan, feeling sad about life? Barely anything.

>when you randomly make eye contact with a woman and she has that blank expression and you know deep down she is thinking, "Ewww, he's not Chad, get away from me creep!"

I read history books on my phone on train rides. I'm not sure whether this "efficiency" of reading in spare minutes is dehumanising or smart.

What does /lit/ think about Stallman's poetry? Does it have more merit than rupi?

The Sandwich

(To the tune of "Men of Harlech" or "Woad")

I would like some hot pastrami
And some slices of salami
For to take back to my mommy,
Waiting home for me.

Cover them with pumpernickel,
Garnish with a sour pickle.
Russian dressing nice and thick'll
Fill her heart with glee.

First put on some ketchup;
Then put on some mustard.
Just for cheer, add worcestershire,
and maybe even chocolate custard.

Then put on a cup of relish--
Eating without relish would be hellish--
Finally you must embellish
It with munster cheese.

His understanding of Christianity goes beyond Nietzsche.

You cannot compete with this guy. this man is making dat Dolla Dolla bill dosh and is literally rolling in freshman psychology-student pussy 25/8. Imagine his life. He wakes up and checks his patreon account, sees that a few hundred more has been added to the 60k he's already making a month while he's slept, then he checks his phone and sees the thousands of ovary-soaked messages from prime 18-27 yr old girls who never had a father figure in their life begging to fly across the globe just to suck his cock. This is a man at the PEAK of existence, material and metaphysical.
Meanwhile all you do is shitpost on a Jaguar Sighting and Mating Habits forum and try to posture as some sort of intellectual who understands an irrelevant 19th C. German racist better than he does.

SORT. YOURSELF. OUT. BUCKO
