Pleasant read with some pretty prose. Nothing mind blowingly deep about it but an enjoyable story. If it was any longer it would be boring.

Feels bad.
How did Orwell predicted all so accurate?
I like it to read book
He didn't predict shit.
You get fired from your job if you say anything political and most 1984 fans like it that way.
>>9208657
1984 is not about surveillance, you fucking dipshit. Go actually read it, you pseudo-intellectual waste of space.
Greentext the plot of your new novel, it's not like is going anywhere.

>A dog sprouts wings from its anus and begins to fly around the house and yard (ass) backwards
>finally the police and fire dpt. get a handle on the situation, but not before the news arrives and the story makes national headlines
>dog gets its own twitter and instagram, book deal, morning tv and radio show appearances
>after a few weeks, it turns out that the wings belong to an angel, who in the middle of the dogs guest appearance on saturday night live, finally pulls itself completely out to the shock and awe of the live audience and thousands of live viewers of their tvs at home
>you will have to wait till it is published to hear the rest :^) im not gonna give away all the mysteries, suspenses, drama, romance, symbols and twists

Maybe you fucks could ever write something worth finishing if you had the creativity to come up with a better opener for these trash threads.
>>9180467
>if you had the creativity to come up with
anon... the people that make these threads and look in these threads are just trying to steal other anons ideas
Of course they are aware they do not have creativity, but people will post in the threads regardless
is anarchism only for angsty teens?
>>9222113
Yes
It's what it's not for. Literally the only reason that's such a meme is because of the deliberate demonization of the term.
yes but as it turns out angsty teen is the ideal type of person we should all aspire to be
What's the difference between neitchze über mensch and your typical sociopath?
One person said that while both reject given values, the socio path doesn't create his own. He just works around values, going so far as to pretend he has them.
Are there any other discrepancies?
sociopath can bullshit his way into society, ubermensch scorns the rabble and the rabble senses it.
>>9220510
Not exactly correct but close
>>9220480
Its whats driving them, the problem is a standard sociopath may still be operating under the fantasies prescribed to him by society and so while he doesn't care for the interest of others he's still being controlled by them.
An Ubermensch is able to constitute his own will
ubermensch is intellectual condition, sociopath is psychological
Would it be easier to learn to speak Japanese first before learning how to read and write?
I've seen arguments like this made because "when you're a kid you learn to talk first - learning it all at once makes the language feel artificial and cluttered".
For what it's worth I learned hiragana and katakana years ago but learning kanji was too much of a pain in the arse.
You don't necessarily have to learn to speak the language, but you 100% have to learn to understand the language and the fastest way to do that is by conversational exercises.
You could, hypothetically, learn to read and write and listen in the language without ever speaking in it, but it would be unnecessarily difficult when access to speakers of other languages is so easy.

Isn't free verse just prose?
>Being this much of a pleb
It's a bad format for poetry, but it's still essentially poetry.
>>9219903
Why is it still essentially poetry? Shortened lines? What is poetry, in essence?

Literally five mins on wikipedia.
I hate the world. I hate my life. Or maybe I hate the way I view the world world, and I hate myself. I want who I currently am to die. I look in the mirror and hate what I see. I see an ugly, undesirable person, destined for a life of loneliness. I look out into the world, and I hate what I see. I see cold, uncaring, shallow, egoistic people, judgmental people. Nobody that wants me. I feel inadequate. I see inequity and roadblocks at every turn. When I speak to strangers, I feel unconsciously on the defensive. I'm in this sullen, sulky, melancholy mood most of the time.
What happened to me? How do I change?
Am I just in a rut? Is this just a state of mind? Brought about by consumption of western media? The western cultural narrative? That I'm not good enough? That the world is a cold, harsh uncaring place? I really don't want to be here anymore.
How do I change? Do I move out of the country? Disconnect from all media? Blow my brains out?
If I were a genie and could grant you a (reasonable) wish, what would you want me to change?
>>9219898
I'd like to see the world as a more affectionate and welcoming place than I do currently. For my insecurities to disappear. For a helping hand from the universe, to get me on my feet, and to see the possibilities of how I may enjoy life. Perhaps a benevolent, wise, empathetic person, with unconditional love for me. I've tried to be that person. A strong person, and I've been humbled many times.
I suppose physically and materially, according to the current narrative that I am embedded within and have told myself, I'd need a smaller nose, lots of money, and brazen confidence and security.
I'd wish for wisdom and new perspectives.
